vidya gaymes run better, but the UI is shit

>Windows 10

more like Winblows 10

Ui is balls. Cant be dealing with interegated ads. I can see why they're going down this route, they're prepping everyone for AI assisted OS. I still dont rikey. Though you can get it somewhere useable with a few tweaks.

I'm indifferent about it.

-Message sent throughout a windows 10 OS.

You do realize you can disable those ads, right?

>Me no rikey ads
>Me no rikey telemetry
>Me no rikey license fee
>Me no rikey closed source
>Muh loonix

Well yes manually you can do that, the only switch to actually "remove" them just replaces them with ads that aren't aimed at the shit you search for. It's not difficult to remove them, its just what are they even doing there in the first place.

Honestly no. Windows 7 was the last version I liked.

Seconded.

Thirded

No I hate it, what made me finally snap was the forced update that made me lose all of my documents that I was in the process of saving. Fuck windows.

>mfw for some reason i haven't seen any ads at all since launch

Im not really sure why, but i am fortunate

I only disliked the Metro shit.

Gonna be honest, I love Windows 10.

I like it, but I don't really care about getting cucked by the botnet. I don't use the kiddy tiles mode and I removed all of them from the start menu so I see exactly zero adds, and I just deactivated feature updates recently so I'm daijobu.

Seconded.

I would use it if it didn't cause so many problems on my computer.

Yes. My reason is cliche "works for me".

Guess I just like windows, used XP until a month before 10 released, with 7 in that month.
Maybe I just didn't use 7 enough to make a fair judgement.
I did manage to show W10 who's the boss (first day, duh) though. Otherwise I'd be pretty concerned with forced updates and botnet.

But as it stands, to me it's just a 50% better, 50% worse XP, which is far better than what any other "modern" windows can boast.

No but we got us a nice dilemma here.

Use Linux and don't get access to all the programs, or use windows and reward companies for not porting to linux

Before i hated it like a cum sipping man baby. Then i maned up and installed LTSB. Except the faggy start menu, the rest is same or better.
So what's it gonna be? Man up or sip?

Hot garbage. The UI is an inconsistent mess, it's unstable and updates fail, it spies on you and serves you ads, and on top of that it cost like $120, or else you use a Russian malware loader. What the fuck is Microdick's problem? There are also no good games out in the last 10 years that would compel me to use it. Steam is available on Debian and I can run a Windows 7 VM with a GPU passthrough for everything else.

>having to disable ads in a $120 operating system that is advertised as "just working"
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Same here.

>LTSB
>no updates
Enjoy your WannaCry.

I do, I just wish you could install the i3wm for it. Then it would be the perfect OS to me.

>Note torrenting Windows 10 LTSB Enterprise N Edition

hahaha

No it's cancer and everyone who works for microsoft deserves to be shot.

No

>the only switch to actually "remove" them just replaces them with ads that aren't aimed at the shit you search for
?????

What ads? What the fuck kind of infected bullshit are kids running I haven't seen any ads in the OS

>getting WannaCry
>wanting to cry
>cry because you have WannaCry
Haha, enjoy your NSA made WankerTears (TM) malware.

Anything but linux or Macshit desu

...

Yes

Never seen that.

I never had that shit wtf
Is it because i'm in europe?

>Home

What are the chances that this kind of shit only comes up if you have Cortana enabled? I have never seen anything like that either.

...

I'm forced to use it at work, so not really. The only upside is that everything is neatly integrated, which makes communication and collaboration very easy. But for me personally, the downsides (far) outweigh the upsides.

...

You can easily activate any Windows with a program free of malware in seconds.

...

Considering that I've never seen any of those I think it's safe to assume that they are all governed by the same setting.

Nice false ad

x2

I'm in Europe and never used or enabled Cortana, so I guess it's one of those things.

What are you missing from the Windows 10 start menu?

what

it just updated to 1703

What useful feature does the shitty third party start menu replacement have compared to the native one?

It's more simple when you don't need all the shit that come with the native one.

>all the shit that come with the native one
The replacements clearly have more shit going on by default.

blogs.windows.com/windowsexperience/2017/07/13/announcing-windows-10-insider-preview-build-16241-pc-build-15230-mobile/

No see

I have a cracked W10 Pro and so far everything runs as smoothly as if I had paid $189 for the retail version, just updated to 1703. My Office is also cracked.

I love WSL, but hate their telemetry kikery. Will pirate enterprise, because that's the only one that doesn't send my personal information to Microsoft. Would have payed money otherwise, but fuck this shit.

>pirating windows gives me a better version than I could pay for
Bravo, Nutella.

Been using Win10 for as long as it's been out, literally never noticed any of these even they were there.

Maybe it's because all I don't do much with my OS except browsing the Internet, saving and organising files, playing games and running various programs, but I honestly barely notice a difference from Windows 7 other than the design, which I actually prefer to the glass look of Windows 7.

I don't see your point.

...

It's just better when it's like windows 7.

No, it's shit, probably the worse thing than Microsoft did in a long time. Thanks God W7 still works.

No I absolutely do not. For starters there are 2 entirely separate control panel/system settings menus. The worst part is the forced updates. I can't turn my computer off when I want, and I can't not turn it off either sometimes. And in my experience every update has catastrophically broken something, usually network related and I need to google for hours on my MacBook potential fixes.

I fucking hate it but I need too many programs on it. The moment these programs get support on Linux I'm dumping it. I already use a Linux machine every day very comfortably, more so than Windows.

Why can't I search for things in the start menu anymore?

I've used windows +10 years, After trying KDE and switching back to windows. I can't stand its UI its so fucking dumb, can't believe people are getting paid for writing that shit.

I don't like it when software dictates the conditions in which I'm allowed to use it and how I'm allowed to use it. I like to be in control.

>every update has catastrophically broken something
I don't understand how you people manage to do that.

You can.

My boot times went to shit after the last updatei have an unusable desktop for about 2 minutes

My system is extremely simple and I know not to fuck around with registrys and low level settings in Windows because I know very well how delicate it is but it still manages to just break itself, particularly with networking on every update.

It's fine if you're even remotely competent with computers, which we all know Sup Forums is not. My only gripe is the big yearly updates act as OS upgrade installs, which means you usually have to wipe drivers and reinstall them or you'll run into issues.

Put Windows in a VM on your Linux host then cut off updates and network access.

I do and have various VMs for testing warez and crackz because why pay for soft?

Linux and Windows can be very useful together. Treat an OS as just another app that runs some other apps and give zero fucks about anything.

Updates might break shit but I give them no chance, and if anything acts stupid I can reboot into a previous snapshot.

Anyone can do this. I do it because I'm lazy therefore efficient.

>warez and crackz
>soft
>reddit spacing
You need to go back.

this

most big ass corporate workplaces run windows from a cloud hosted in VMs that you access from your office, but the cloud itself is running on linux or unix machines

nobody runs windows natively except pleb startups or home users

Do tell oh wise wizard

Samefag

Malware bypasses VMs

>nobody runs windows natively except pleb startups or home users
what

I get tired of the UI easly, probably the worst ever

rest is fine

recently my ssd on my thinkpad died so i installed ubuntu , now i never want to go back to windows. i tried but i cant fucking do it. linux feels so much cleaner, like youre not being spied on all the time.

and ive been way more productive. fuck vidya, i used to be addicted ,

At home, yes.

At work, no.

>uninstalls windows because addicition to vidya
>gets addicted to Sup Forums

KMS

I like Windows 10 LTSB with ClassicShell

No. It was pushed upon people like malware for months. I won't willingly install malware on my machine

I tolerate because of games. If not for that I would be using some variation of Linux entirely instead of using Dual Boot

Since you asked for a short answer to nicely.
I'll answer.
No.

+50% and -50% makes it worse.

Screenfetch threads>>>>>>>>>>Vidya

LTSB gets security updates, just not feature updates. You should neck yourself for being retarded enough to think Microsoft would release an OS that receives no security updates whatsoever.

>reset PC today
took an entire fucking day
update update update update

...

It's alright. 8.1 is better though.

Also some games run like trash on 10, even on a clean install.
