panel freezes while running certain programs and displays the same time for hours without updating
plugging in my phone results in multiple requests to transfer data and refusing to send any amount of power to charge
literally cant turn off system locking despite settings it off in the options
im swapping away from this garbage DE even gnome was 20 times better because it fucking worked but ill probably go with LXDE cause compositing is pointless

Stop saying it's the programs you autist. In games the compositing gets disabled and that's the reason why panel stucks with the same images. Disable the blur background option in the settings and it'll be fine. Or stop letting other applications to use their own compositor
I have a lot of issues with performance with this. I use a 280x and an i5 4460 with 16GB of RAM.
And the issue is there is not any other DE that seems to be as decent as this. But it really, really slows down at random times. Just 15 minutes ago I had chromium with 4 tabs, the settings window and dolphin and scrolling through Sup Forums without scripts was painful, now it's back to normal.
I don't know what to do about performance. I tried everything, even padoka and oibaf.
Not to mention that he could've just googled that.

What are you using? KDE Neon is breaking left and right on my end. I don't have the problems OP has, but I must be cursed or something. Does everyone here use openSUSE or some other thing that's much more stable and I'm not doing things right?
What distro are u using? Did plasma come preinstalled or did u install it yourself?
