wow an npn how interesting
Go back to bed, gramps. We have computers, solar power and automation now. Electricians and other manual laborers will be completely useless to society in 5 years.
How?Who the fuck is gonna run the wires?
>using BJTs
>in common emitter configuration
Common emitter amplifier with DC biasing omitted.
Bait

Millennials actually believe this
do your own homework or post it on
RTL inverter. Go back to bed.
Don't you wanna do calculations with dem beta values though?
>explain it
not
>name it
Not gate
>beta values
>tfw I got autistically mad because I didn't get the datasheet given values on lab
what's to explain?
Logic high on the input results in current flowing from the base to emitter, causing a maximum current of ibe*Beta to also flow from collector to emitter. The resistor is chosen so that Vcc/R > than that maximum current, so it pulls the collector voltage to near zero (Vce~=Vbe) resulting in an output of logic low.
When the input is logic low, Ibe = Ice ~=0 so voltage at the collector will be logic high, so long as the output load isn't too high (see also: fanout restrictions).
Works with a mosfet too, but switches via voltage and not current.
Jesus. It's like you never finished high school.
Now explain a long-tailed pair. If you can, I'll do a cascode.
I'm a programmer. I don't need to know this.
Bit you wouldn't be a programmer without this.
Wouldn't be a programmer without mining or ore refinery either
Programming, and computer science in general, are closer to math and design than any engineering discipline. There's much more useful things to do in my free time.
Engineer here. That's like the first circuit you have to make while they teach you how the board connection works.
What the fuck dude. Apply yourself.
This is a shitty analogue NOT gate. Driving a bit of current at the base will cause the resistance of CE to drop, pulling the point at Vout down.
It's shit because the response is both non-linear and very gradual. You have to cram a lot of current into the base to get a sharp edge on the output.
If Vin is null
>base not connected to the collector
>Vout becomes approximately Vcc (up to the resistor's effect)
If vin is non-null:
>base connected to the collector
>Vout connected to the base and thus to the emitter
>emitter is grounded
>therefore Vout = 0 V
t. never analyzed a circuit with transistors before
LOL, running wires? You really have no idea about the current state of technology.
ENTIRE HOUSES are already being 3D-printed. You'll literally just pay the bill and have a full house with everything installed and functional automaticallyin a few hours.
