What's your excuse for not keeping your cables organised?
What's your excuse for not keeping your cables organised?
I'm lazy and I don't care.
>raceway pleb
Just get those wall kits.
>owning a TV in 2017
fuck off normie
before looks better and more natural to me desu
>let me plug in a different cable
>oh wait it's all behind a cover because reasons
>nevermind, I'll do it tomorrow
>not chasing cables into the wall
>b-but it's a rental
lmaoing at your life fàm
What's your excuse for mounting your tv above eye level?
>not routing the cables through a wall and terminating both ends with patch boards
The real question is why are there like five cables going to the TV?
You only need two. And why is the cable cover so big for five cables?

dubs don't lie
Thread should have ended with this post
fpbp
>plug everything into receiver below the tv
>plug receiver into tv
Because I like rearranging the house and shit like that is a hassle.
If you can't get all those wires through the wall so that there's nothing between the reciever and the tv your dad failed you
How do you watch media then
Use internet :
You have, films, anime, series, Books, porn, news, game....
There is no reason for having a tv in 2017...And personnaly I hate what is on french tv, fucking kimkardabitch-series
TVs still have a purpose, by just being a big screen.
There is no fucking reason to actually hook it up, though.
>he doesn't like to see the wires
You're a disgrace.
suck my fucking dick you fucking retard
I don't care, all my cables are hidden behind my monitors and desk anyways.
why even bother with the covers? just secure the cables so they go straight down and paint those.
I am buying a place in the next few weeks but isnt it a pretty big pain to run cables through the wall? I suppose if its just a short straight down distance it probably wouldnt be bad but for something like rear speaker cabes or ca5 or something it would be a pain.
pain in the ass i move my shit around too much
might do if i decide that i have definitely found the perfect configuration of things
This vastly limits how you can arrange rooms
what's your excuse for nigger rigging it and not running the cables through the wall?
you plug things directly info your tv? Besides power the only cable coming from your tv should be hdmi or similar and maybe optical sound, everything else goes into the receiver. The only time you touch the tv is when you get a new one.
are you a woman?
The cable version actually looks better in that pic.
The painted version looks like there's some weird deformed bump in the wall, like the contractors made a mistake when building a house and just left it there.
Unless you've got a cunty girlfriend who re arranges the living room every 6 months
They work just as well when they're not
you dense piece of shit, of course everyone with a brain would own a huge ass tv or projector to watch whatever media there is available. Guess it's a concept that sounds alien to a fat fuck like you that can't even move from a desk and his 4:3 early 2000 shit LCD monitors that can't even reproduce colors.
Usually there are only a few reasonable locations for a tv to be
All of those are hideous. I have two wall plates and run my wires inside of the wall down to the outlets behind the media stand.
Any other way is just unaesthetic.
This.
I have better things to do than playing with cables.
Like shitposting here.
because I put two port holes and some conduit going through my wall so I can have no cables and no raceway visible. Also it makes the LED backlighting look great
>Not tagging my post
Fuck off
I like how they look running across my floor.
depression
>letting your cable company know everything you watch or listen to
They play video games. Sometimes you gotta swap cables around.
>receiver == cable box
no
only works when you dont want to move said item or arrangement for a long time.
i move every year to a new place, aint nobody got time for that. i also add lots of additional accessories so making said adjustment permanent is not an option
not every one can live in a single location that long to make permanent changes bro
I didn't even see yours when I posted, bro.
your way is better, I just bought flat wall plates and carefully drilled through the middle with a hole saw. I have 4 hdmi cables and an optical cable running through the in wall conduit. power wall plate behind the tv
TV is wall mounted, with an outlet for power and an HDMI tap right behind it. Speakers are wall mounted, and the AV receiver is in a closet.
The remote is RF, so I don't have to worry about line of sight.
I may build a shelf or something if I work gives me an Xbox One X.
I need to plan out how I'm going to arrange a lot of this stuff. I'd like to shove my networking equipment into my closet. I just have to sort out how and where to put it, mount some stuff, and get a shelf in there.
Also need to get a drill/screws to mount some of my cable management stuff and surge protector. Then get some cable hoses (not the plastic type, the velcro type).
>Not drilling holes in a rental anyway and then covering it with an 89 cent wall plate screwed directly into the the drywall when you move out.
For added realism spend an extra buck and get the coax version, let the next tenant worry about it when their cable doesn't work.
I promise you no rental agency in the world knows every outlet location in every house/apartment they manage. If it looks like it belongs they won't look twice.
What a useless cuck
Patch cables are GOAT when you have areas where you need more than four cables to connect to
This was the greatest tip of all time. Shame I didn't know this before we bought our first house last year.
>wall kits
>through concrete walls
Gee...thanks Timmy.
I'm not gay.
Because it's annoying to make modifications, I rewire my TV setup every month to upgrade various components (speakers, receiver, desk, television, television box, Blu-ray player, media server, subwoofer, cooling fans, amplifier, pre amp, microphone, karaoke machine, mini bar, RGB lighting, etc, etc...)
fuck you
t. spectrum phone cuck
>He paid is house with money the bank loaned him
>He inherited
lmaoing at your shitty life famalam
I don't value my own life enough to give a damn about cables
>have a REAL house and not these shitty american wooden walls and shit like that
>which means my walls are in STONE
>l-lol just run the cables through stone bro !
Fuck off.
Not everybody has cardboard house
Because I plan on renovating soon and it's basically a pain in the ass
I inherited a big house and want to put ethernet into the walls, haven't found any plans
Fuck me
>What is chasing out a concrete wall
I like my cables like my chicken, free range.
Almost no house is all stone. Most Stone House have a 2by4 layer then drywall. If your house is stone all the way through you have a shitty house.
