no...

2003 or so

Years ago. You want to game on a modern device, get a BlackBerry. Those physical keys are infinitely better than using touchscreen bullshit to play.

Samsung might do it since they're fond of shitty design.

>cellphone with optical zoom
>shitty design

This thing was horrible at being a phone and horrible at being a camera. At what point would it become shitty to you?

Now

...

I dunno, my dad's got an S4 and he likes it. Isn't that just an S4 with a zoom lens? I mean if I had to get an S4 I'd certainly get it. I hate having no optical zoom.

Try to carry it in your pocket, then we'll talk.

I've carried larger devices in my pocket, actual point and shoots for example, in addition to my phone. I'd happily carry this in my pocket.

>no cellular radio
>cellphone

Can I just see a picture of you and how fucking baggy your pants are?

...

Its a gimped version of the thing.

They arn't very good though

I don't wear baggy pants

Looks fine to me

>gaming on a phone
Yeah, if you want a shit experience with meh graphics, kindof shit controls, on a screen size designed for ants. Phone games aren't all terrible, but there's a very low ceiling for greatness on current touch games, and even having button controls will leave a lot to be desired.
PCs are for gaming all around, consoles make the grade but are sub-par, and anything mobile that's not really specifically for gaming like the switch is just going to be unimpressive and mostly fit for snes emulators.

nice Razer prototype, how did you get the image!

thanks, I just ordered one

Phones are more than enough for emulation, if they had controls they'd be great for playing old games

Okay... compare it to the real S4.
gsmarena.com/samsung_i9500_galaxy_s4-5125.php

They can still work.
I really thought Nintendo would release their Switch nubs to accommodate any type of mobile device.

They're both cellphones, either is fine, the Zoom is preferable as it actually has optical zoom though.

Yeah I'm totally going to carry a DS3 in my pants pocket

I wanted one of these so bad back in the day

Too bad I heard they sucked

>Yeah I'm totally going to carry a DS3 in my pants
Oh user.

What:, do you actually carry a DS3 everywhere you go?

>Sup Forums ignores the only right answer

No user, I was making a shitty lewd joke.

Should have included an anime image in my shitpost.

You and me both.

Have you never taken pictures that aren't selfies in your entire life? As fat as these cellphones might be, I'd kill to have a reasonably sized smartphone with a decent sensor and a zoom lens. It's still going to be much smaller than hauling a retardedly huge DSLR all over the fucking place.

Samsung manages to fuck everything up but you're retarded if you think a big lens on a smartphone is somehow a bad thing.

Hopefully never.

Gaming tablets already exist so yeah...

Cheap droid (okay they're shit, but just get a cheap one for games) + bluetooth game controller that lets you clamp the droid in the top. Job's a goodun.

uh

I have the QD, got it very good condition in box for $4 at a flea market. Fascinating device.

you are an idiot please kys

Learn to take a joke you dumb faggot.

Never, the physical buttons would never work with any game unless they write special software to map the buttons to areas of the screen for each app and then the price rises to pay programmers, or they have the physical buttons act like a hard wired gamepad but that would be the smart thing and when has any phone company done the smart thing?

>Games that aren't complete ass on a phone when
Let's not put the cart before the horse.

It's already the case

this is what killed nokia desu

it's danm near a decade..

Worthwhile mobile VR when?

Do any smartphones even have 90+ FPS displays?

Just get the Pyra, it has 4G capabilities so you can also text/call, it runs full debian linux so you are never far away from your desktop - it's in your pocket. With a small bluetooth headset it can completely replace your cell phone. You also have the choice of using the built in mic and speaker, if you want.

Forgot link.

It's the successor to the open pandora, but build and designed by a new team so there is nothing to worry about.

>wanting to buy an autism broadcaster
>wanting android """""games"""""
ew

Android has shit power management for gaming. Without rooting my phone and restricting performance some games are impossible to play.

That thing has a horrendous screen and battery life. On top of that it's hardware is hopelessly outdated by this point, it probably doesn't even support anything past 4.0

Yes, but OP asked for "gaming smartphones", not "GOOD gaming smartphones".

This really hinges on getting a GPU that you can shoehorn into a phone without it catching on fire. As soon as they can achieve that, I would expect gaming phones. So probably another 3-5 years

I still have one of these loaded with emulators. Pretty cool if a little underpowered.

The form factor is a deal breaker. You can't even bring it to your ear to make a phone call, not to mention the fact that it's shaped like a brick. Not pocket friendly.
That thing fills only a very specific niche.

Agreed. Pokemon and Fire Emblem on the Q10 is smooth and perfect with RetroArch BB10 port.
Plays anything through Game Boy Advance perfectly and with the keyboard it's great.

What's wrong with them? I would assume that it's the quality.

outdated specs and lack of support, their newest one has pretty good specs but is way overpriced.

In a feud for Penelope Cruz

I just want a smartphone with a 6 inch screen and a physical keyboard desu

wish someone redid this desu

with modern hardware the gayming shit could actually be useful

>phone "games"
Android/iOS games are so disgustingly terrible people still buy 240p handheld consoles.

>not wearing baggy as fuck tricked out cargo pants

fucking summerfag

Portrait keyboards are shit...especially for gaming.

The Sony expedia tried this concept once in a very half assed manner.

Yeah if basement dwelling autists and redditfags had any money maybe, you just have to wait until touchscreens are advanced enough.

why would anyone want dedicated buttons on a device that they would use in a professional setting?

When someone finally makes a mobile game that doesn't suck. Every decent game is either available for PC or for a Nintendo console.

>that they would use in a professional setting?

What authoritarian shit hole do you live in where people give a crap about what phone you use?

senpai that thing runs nothing like an actual S4, it'd be far too slow

i really value having a separate device and i hope things like handheld consoles never go away and i hope nintendo follows up the 3ds instead of just going in on this tablet type shit

Now, any dev worth a shit builds for other platforms though and most phone game devs are shitty.

Learn to program, make a not shit game for phones, rake in money.

You've been shilling that piece of shit for days now, stop it.

Lower you expectations. There are some fun mobile games you can play to pass the time.

What? I made one thread about it yesterday. If other people have made threads or talked about it, then that simply just goes to show you how popular it is and how many people want it.

>still not shipping after seeing people post about it for 2 years
>the specs are now 5 years out of date
>still over $500
No thanks.

Perfection takes time. They're very close to mass production. Everything on the Pyra has been extensively thought out. Revision after revision guarantees a perfect piece of tech. Flaws have been worked out in a logical way. Unlike big companies who rely on users to basically beta test their device, the Pyra team is dedicated to releasing only the best product it can. With more than 1000 units already preordered, you can see many people trust the Pyra team to deliver. Also, imagine how many more people will buy a Pyra after they mass produce and see the preordering people got their device? It'll sell like crazy.

>wasting time on mediocre or bad games
Games are already a waste of time. If I'm going to play games, I'm going to play exclusively good games.

Not him but this sound like wishful thinking.

>you can see how many people trust the Pyra team to deliver

You had to go and trigger me didn't you? THAT'S AN APPEAL TO POPULARITY. LEARN LOGIC REEEEEEEEEEEEE

>Also, imagine how many more people will buy a Pyra after they mass produce and see the preordering people got their device?
Not likely when they can get the x86 compatible GPD Win with better specs for the same price without having to wait.

really ? i thought n gage was a huge hit. i had the QD and it was fantastic. my classmates borrowed it all the time

>other people wanting something that can't even run emulators without crashing
Nice try. You're welcome to stop posting at any time.

This literally reads like a marketing slide. Stop shilling your shitbox please.
