How the fuck do you guys use so much storage space on your computers?
I have been using this laptop for 2 years and only have used 35 GB of space! (pic related)
What do you have that takes up so much space? Entire seasons of TV shows in HD quality only take up like 3 GB each!
Are you all constantly torrenting shit and hoping your download speed doesn't exceed Moore's Law?
i've been running my laptop off a 4GB usb stick. i stream everything and don't download anything. my free space is around 250MB

Storage is cheap and most desktops will support atleast 6 hard drives, heck even a good bit of laptops will support atleast 2 or 3 drives.
When you have the space your not afraid to use it on my main desktop I have about 2.75TB across all drives and is about 80% full . I also have a hackintosh shitbox with 240gb across a SSD and HDD, its not hard to keep clean.

My job involves a lot of scientific data extraction and generation. I have 200GB left/1TB on my SSD and I've had it since last November.

I have 2 500gb drives, plus 128gb ssd for os and loonix. Have around 350gb of music alone and 250 of animemes and movies, rest is pictures and documents, will still take a couple of years to completely fill them up but thats ok because if I get bigger drives i know ill let my hoarding run rampant

How the hell can you not have over 35GB by now? I use around 4TB already, mostly anime and a lot aren't even BDs because they're just so damn big. I won't consider anything less than a 10TB HDD for a new PC even if I were to get one today and there's the possibility that I'll get even more by the time I do, when prices aren't messed up like they are now.
To some extent I'm envious of your commitment, on the other hand I'm also concerned with your well-being.
most opf my data is from over 30 years on being on computers i just ported all my data over every upgrade.
I'm a hoarder too so its good it keeps my house clean butmy pc is so dirty and mess and full its good.
now i don't have to full my house with crap i just full my pc with it instead.
