>run linux
>ran out of space on root partition
>figured out how to shrink /home/ and expand root (both ext4)

Also figured out how to make linux stop running my CPU at maximum frequency all the time

Exactly nothing. Cant imagine more Sup Forums-ish thing to do.

>Also figured out how to make linux stop running my CPU at maximum frequency all the time

broke the Italian stock market for a couple hours

lesee

redesigned my trail camera to use an ardunio turn the old raspi based camera off and on using a mosfet, and assembled a psu so it will run off of 2 x 1860s rather than a usb power bank.

managed to get a wireless mini webserver working on esp8266(esp-01e) - very flaskey tho, need to get it stable and link it to a temp/humidity sensor - also scavenged a lipo from an old ego-ecig, added a charger/protection module and test powered the 8266 from it successfully

partially built a solar temp/pressure/humidity logger by modding a poundland solar garden light

redsigned two workshop module presentation slides + handouts for a local mental health support group I go to

wrote two blog entries for a local conservation group I also go to

Opened up a programming book and read whole paragraph.

I talked to my old boss and she offered me a job starting in January.

good job user

it's a documented issue!

bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1018770

I finished my LFS fully encrypted install

>mfw Linux is responsible for global warming, not coal

But how did you do it?

Uninstalled 10 and installed 7 on my Ryzen system

Learned the concept of Parser Combinators, and used it to parse a Dota 2 game lobby in F#.

>be responsible for global warming
>use penguin as mascot

that's some next level trolling

so is it intel or suse specific?
we don't even have governors anymore anyway

Well in fact I didnt do much this week.
Have been to psychotherapy, which goes pretty nice.
Have written an exam which went pretty well (no result yet though)
solved a few more project euler problems
threw away a whole lot of shit which I dont need anymore

What did you do? Show up to work on time?

Learned about non-negative matrix factorization for text mining

Oh and I also gave away some free (you)s this week (they are usually quite expensive in my country)

achmed?

definitely intel specific. not sure whether the issue is with SUSE or the kernel

getting closer to qualifying reactor operator

I made it to Silver 1 in League of Legends twice this week

Fucking nothing.
I hate my lazy ass.

thanks for the (You), feels good

Maybe not especially Sup Forums, but found a cheaper alternative for mobile internet, so I will be down to 40€ a year in mobile costs.

>But how did you do it?

cookbooking directions other people posted online

Installed an operating system which has a lot of common sense.

downgraded my S3 from Marshmallow to KitKat

sauce pl0x

>started to learn python (already know Java and SQL)
>installed Bunsenlabs ISO in my pendrive so I can finally move away from Microshit once and for all by the very end of the month
>finally finished uploading 40GBs of data.

Underrated

I've finally managed to reassemble my PC for the first time, clean it, and it's working good now.

>threw away a whole lot of shit which I dont need anymore
I need to do this

I managed to get kicked out of uni, but I think I saved my comfy admin job there.
From biology to IT helpdesk, heh.
I don't know if I should laugh or cry.

>I managed to get kicked out of uni

jerking off to japnese cartoons?

I installed umatrix. Now every site i visit is broken. I'm going to spend dozens of hours configuring it because Sup Forums said i needed it

I use uMatrix, I love it.

Once you understand how to work it it's pretty straightforward.

if a website isn't working properly click on the top half of a domain name on the left side and it turns green. This allows scripts from that domain to function.

green-list domains one at a time and hit refresh until the domain loads. Once you have a working configuration you can save your settings.

Btw, thats how to make it work stupid-style, which I am assuming would help you judging by the screenshot of your current settngs

Smart-style you look at what script it being blocked that is stopping whatever desired functionality from working and you only enable that type of script from that specific domain

test

Thanks for introducing this piece of software to me. I'm installing now and hopefully it will be high quality.

I have been wanting this kind of "customizing of web requests" since forever, so I'm happy to see that a (seemingly) mature tool exists.

This is how the net www is supposed to be explored.

emacs has a shit editor though

I have now installed it, and I already love it.
Thanks again.

installed microg properly, cleaned out my keyboard, configured my drawing tablet under linux, made my gf use signal instead of facebook messenger

naw, failing too many exams due to panic attacks.
I'm taking lots of meds and getting therapy, but most of the time I'm either suicidal or lethargic.
On the upside, I'll need a new liver by age 40.
tldr I'm an autistic faggot.

I managed to not kill myself after putting up with another week of bullshit at work.

Don't get a job in software development. It's a trap.
Keep programming as a hobby but don't get a job doing it.

True.

Replacing Google Play store with F Droid and all associated apps.

I'm having trouble finding a SMS app though other than QKSMS (which is no longer being updated)

>Never do anything you love for a living, or you will begin to hate it.

This is one of the reasons I never went into NBA.

yea it fucking shit, i should have become a pilot

wrote an x86-64 assembly irc"bot"
it's linked with glibc though

I installed arch in vbox because I was bored but I had no idea what I was doing, even with the wiki, and I'm pretty sure I missed a lot of important settings and other small things.

But I mean hey it works, even though I don't have a wm or de yet.

>having separate /home and / partitions
>not using lvm
Physical partitions are deprecated for LVM. What a failure.

use signal+microg

Did you just spit into my sandwich?!?

Pushed some tickets around in Jira, collected a paycheck

>started writing a novel in Vim
>wrote a script to snapshot, export, and AES encrypt 35+TB of data for work and it ran as expected
>set up x2go for remote access to my Linux desktop and used it successfully over WAN and wifi

>Not using LVM2

ishygddt.so.2.15.3

I'm slowly improving my typing speed, starting to hit 100 occasionally now

Got my intern project shipped.

Explain

Started my first CRUD webapp that is'nt just following a guide. it took a while to learn enough to feel confidant about this but it's well worth it! I'm so excited

>Managed to study web dev from monday to saturday, but I was too damn tired today.
>Finished my first shitty website (something really basice for a freeCodeCamp project
>Drank a lot less this weekend
>Also accepted my pure hate for my job to the point that I don't feel bad doing it anymore

To-do list
>Start working out again
>Clean my fucking car
>Eat better
>Keep studying

>Installed Linux Ubuntu 16.04 Gnome on my thinkpad T420
>Bought another T420 that is absolutely mint condition that I'll take all the good parts out of my current T420 and combine the 2.
>Bought an 8GB kit of ram for said T420. A steal at $25
>My main PC finally finished encoding all of Breaking Bad 1080p Blu-ray rips. Still 276GB after shrinking.
>I now have so much encoded anime and TV series, I had to start a separate network share than my movies to hold them. So my 4TB drive now holds all my movies, and my 2TB holds ally anime/series. Spent $40 on 2 brand new 1TB OEM WD black bare drives and moved all my music and pictures over to them.
>Did a fresh full backup of all my drives in my server to their backup drives
>Backed up my encrypted container to a 2.5" external good forbid I accidentally delete it
>Purchased Solid Explorer Pro from playstore for my tablet and phone. Downloaded the accompanying FTP module so I can move stuff back and forth from my mobile devices and server
>set up the dual band wireless repeater in my room finally. Sound proof foam and sound deadening drywall makes WiFi penetration a bitch.

I'm thinking of making the Rpi3 I have in my closet a dedicated server for my mobile devices. Would give me an excuse to have a Linux based server, as well as being able to mess with SSH more in depth and how to initiate a backup via SSH.

signal is free software, but relies on google play services
microg is a free implementation of google services framework
