What desktop enviroment is good?

What desktop enviroment should i use for Arch?

XFCE is alright

this

None

XFCE with the Chicago95 theme

I'm actually on KDE myself. I know Gnome is supposed to be better but you know what they say, old habits die hard.

>I know Gnome is supposed to be better
Maybe 3 years ago but KDE has far surpassed it now

>he doesn't know mr robot
kek get off this board newfag

>kde doesn't into wayland
into the trash it goes

>Referencing a show from 2015
>Calls other people newfags

Uh-huh

Aqua

>uses Arch but still wants to use a DE

You're doing it wrong. Dynamic window managers are the way to go. They are significantly more lightweight and yield maximum productivity. I personally suggest dwm, but many users like i3 and awesome as well. dwm is super fast and lightweight, and has the best default layouts, imo. i3 is comfy and more easily configured. awesome is even more riceable but requires some knowledge of Lua.

Unironically this.

That's a gorgeous set-up you've got there!

It's just a picture from Google, would be pretty idiotic to still be on Ubuntu 15.10

Xfce

How did you get the start menu thing to have your login name at the top

I had Xfce on my last distro.
I want to try another desktop enviroment.

i3 gaps

It's there by default in XFCE...

xfce4 ofc

gnome is the best desu or kde if want whatever but atm only gnome works with wayland and is the most polished

lumina

KDE
XFCE is also ok

Is there any reason to use memeland yet? KDE does actually support it.

I3 !!!!!!
the best de ever
I'm currently using it on Ubuntu cause i blew up my arch installation accidentally
cat /dev/sda4(home folder) > /dev/sda2 (arch installation)
I'm gonna install gentoo in a few days though

there is a DE similar to XFCE that eats even less ram? i tried LXQT and LXDE but in the end they eat almost the same, i tried IceWM too but just doesnt convince me

>Maybe 3 years ago.
MAYBE NEVER!!1!!

IceWM

i3 is literal garbage but otherwise this

...

It's Whisker Menu. Might be a seperate package.
