So I did a fresh install of Ubuntu 16.04 LTS with gnome DE. Why does no one like gnome? I pretty much changed nothing other than the background color of my terminal because it's default color was blinding white. Gnome uses less resources than MATE and overall this DE seems nice.

It makes combat early on feel more intense than Oblivion or Skyrim. Sure you can run back, but you'll still probably get hit. Unlike Oblivion and Skyrim where you can attack, block, backup, attack, block, backup. The shitty graphics just make me imagine what would be going on if it were happening. It's more immersive when I think about it like that.
