Steve Jobs insisted on the idea of no fan or air vents

How did this fuckup of a company became so succesfull?

muh design

>Apple advised customers to tilt the front of the Apple III six inches above the desk, and then drop it to reseat the chips

they're brave

The apple doesn't drop more than 6 inches from the tree

Back then you didn't have a lot of choice in computers so many companies who were investing in computer technology for their office space or their processing needs were quick to pick up even no name brands of computers to see what worked best or what fit their needs best.

Apple does this shit today "you're holding the phone wrong" in regards to cell and wifi disconnections and shit.

IBM was destroying them on the business side though. Maybe that's why Jobs was so butthurt about IBM.

Steve Jobs hated the Apple line.
He literally forced the IIgs to be gimped to not compete with the Macintosh.

>butthurt about IBM
>had an ongoing and important business deal with them
k

That's not what history says

Its a design feature. Not a flaw

Because Woz wasn't a retard
Plus gullible normies fall for the meme cult

>or air vents
Not true.
The early Macs had air vents. Around the base of the Mac and under the handle.
There was even a third-party fan (Fanny Mac) that fitted in the handle space.
I give you bullshit/10 as a preliminary score.

But that's not a Mac.

That's why IBM was part of the AIM (Apple, IBM, Motorola) consortium to spec, design and make the PPC chips for Apple's PowerMacs.

Your rage at Apple is illogical. If, as you say, they have no relevance then why so butt-hurt?
If you are wrong, then shut up.
You can't have it both ways.

Sounds of heavy helicopter overhead.
Either Air Ambulance or Police.
Look in flightradar24. Nothing. Police, then.
Lock all doors. It's not even Tuesday!

Why did all of Microsoft's competitors kill themselves with retarded business decisions?
>Apple made retarded design choices, segmented their line too much and priced their computers too high leading everyone to buy cheap PC clones
>Commodore treats customers and employees like shit, has horrible marketing, invests in stupid ideas like the CDTV that flopped completely, engaged in price wars that hurt margins too much
>Atari kills its computer line to go all in on the Lynx and Jaguar, which is possibly the single worst business decision in all of tech history

Microsoft is making a lot of retarded decisions too since Bill Gates' departure.

People buy their products, so as a business they remain successful. Why do you think Apple targets people who are tech illiterate?

I'll bite.

Not him but my rage at Apple is solely because of how well they can brainwash customers into believing that they are getting the best possible experience and product by being loyal to them regardless of whatever actual evidence is presented. That being said, this is not something to blame Apple for as much as you can argue it is to blame their customers for since they are the ones who are being retarded and Apple is using the good ol' free market to take advantage of that.

My rage isn't because of Apple's success or their products but because of the way they exploit their customers, how they keep getting away with it, and how their customers literally defend them in any situation possible. Look up how many times iPhone explosions and fires have been reported in the past before the Note 7 fiasco and how quickly they were swept under the rug, not to mention that Egyptian flight which was concluded to have crashed due to an iPhone 6 explosion and how literally no one cared.

Looks like Tesla gain popularity on California people, makes these people preach as new gospel.

r/teslamotors and r/apple looks like same as cult.

it sure would be an interesting world it PPC continued to scale and didnt hit a dead end...

Where do you see a Macintosh anywhere in the OP's picture?

>not to mention that Egyptian flight which was concluded to have crashed due to an iPhone 6 explosion
>concluded
[citation needed]

Okay you got me. It was never concluded to be the cause but was largely believed to be.

Power8 has haswell level IPC, up to 8 threads per core, and clocks to 4 ghz.

Because of capitalisms need to have ever increasing profits

No, it wasn't. The Egyptian authorities (who chose to investigate the incident as a criminal matter and not an accident) claim to have found "explosive residue" on several bodies and components recovered from the wreckage. At no point in time did their investigation suggest a cellphone was at fault.

Google will turn up plenty more, and with more details.

all the computer companies were still getting their shit together back then

Yes, we're all familiar with the sensationalist headlines from the incident, absolutely none of which are backed up with any facts from any government agency who investigated the incident.

>could an iphone have destroyed this plane?!?
>could an imac have impregnated your daughter while you watched helplessly from your cuckshed?
>all these things COULD have happened!
>we don't actually have any evidence to suggest it, but doesn't it SOUND like something that could have happened?
>because, you know, apple!
