Doing a nuke and restore to factory software is regular policy with most manufacturers regardless of the actual issue at hand. Welcome to cheap consumer laptops.
Why don't you have a spare keyboard, user?
You can get a cheap wired keyboard for like $10 to tide you over.

Also, make backups before you send to it away for any tech service.
I was c0nsidering that but I take my 7apt0p with me 0ften and it w0u7d be ann0ying
Im just g0nna put an0ther hdd that I d0nt use s0 whatever they f0rmat d0esnt affect me, cant see anything wr0ng with that
Get an application for macros and set the correct keys, and hope it "just werks™"
In Taiwan, Asus have some official repair center, so you can talk to the engineer directly.
But I dont think they have such consumer services in Eur0pe.
anyway, you can take a look on their offical website.

You're risking the repair tech finding out and deciding your machine is now out of warranty because fuck you, pay big $$$ if you want your machine back. What you should actually do is image the HDD, send it off to repairs and when it comes back, just restore the image and you're done.
agree, dont void the warranty if any.
but d0es this v0id it? i'm just g0nna change my hdd kek
You have opened up the PC and changed at least one component. It's easily enough to land a voided warranty claim on your ass and a $60 bill for "diagnosis" that you absolutely have to pay to even get your broken computer back, having your keyboard fault repaired means paying retail price on a new kb and labor on top of that. The ease of swapping HDDs doesn't matter, they have proof that you have already tampered with the system internals.
Believe me, the large warranty repair centers absolutely will take any excuse to bone you and shift the costs onto your ass. It's not worth risking when you can just fucking image the thing for a couple hours worth of watching a progress bar move.

Can I replace the battery?
Can I replace the battery by myself?
No, YOU CANNOT.
If you open the back cover, the warranty will be voided.
If you have any battery issue, please kindly send to ASUS country service center.
Just google your laptop model keyboard and order one
Replacing it is straightforward, just remove the battery, screw off the back protection and you should see screwholes marked with a keyboard symbol
Unscrew those and you can pull off the keyboard from the front
Don't pull too hard so you don't break the cables and shit, then gently remove the cables and replace it with a new keyboard
You don't need to pay 500 bucks to some "technician" to do shit like this when the keyboard is probably like 10-15 bucks
this is what it 700ks 7ike
the repair is free 0f charge
Why are you typing like that you fucking retard.

what are your hobbies, OP?
i wish i could, user...
My ASUS laptop screen had to be replaced. They asked for my fucking win10 password. I asked why?
"They have to run special testing software to see if there aren't any defects"
After getting my laptop back (sweet laptop, btw) I checked and didn't see anyone scooping around my files. Still suspicious, though.
