What kind of defective burger-addled brain do you have that you can't remember them all in your head?

KeePass is great for encrypted offline storage as well as password generation

I can already tell you're vulnerable as fuck.

Just get tattoos of them

>has all of them behind one SINGLE password
Great, now the hacker who got into your computer only has to now the one key and he cann access your everything on every website at once.

>Instead of having multiple passwords, have one password that gives you access to all your passwords!
wut

My only password is my first sim pin number + my year of birth.
Still not hacked by l33t HaXorz

That semester of Psych 101 is really paying off!

Password Manager = Single Point Of Failure

Avoid.

I just reset my password every time I want to log into a site.

I just use a few 8-10 digit passwords that are random number/letter/symbol combinations (you learn them via muscle memory after a while. I can't even speak them, I only know where the keys lie and when to hold shift)

also, using longer phrases which you distort are always a good choice, i.e. "Th3cwoJump#d0vr3Th#m0)n" (notice how # is just shift-3 and ) is shift-0 and words are intentionally mispelled)

implying I use a digital password manager

is there anything wrong with this ?

>be me
>have common sense
>use the same six character password and another eight character password since I was 13
>all my girlfriends and friends including the old ones know my passwords
>never been hacked or intruded
Just be yourself faggot

the alternative for people like OP is to use the same single shitty password for every website. password managers are an improvement compared to that.

It's because imaginary friends can't hack you

There's really no other alternative

I used to do this too and then one of the sites I used the password got database hacked and my house of cards fell

Keep ass t b h

1Password

>online password management
wew

>mfw i have a list of fake passwords in my desk drawer to fuck with potential burglars

>Not using Keepass with a random 25 character password

I have a system for turning the website name into a long password including numbers etc

Never remember a password, just remember the system.

Bonus, the system is hard to reverse from a single password.

Try to remember 50 randomly generated passwords (using upper/lower case letters, numbers, special chars). Each having a length of 32 chars.

And also, some of them can go years without being used.

Nice. How fast is it though? Can you just spit it out as you write or do you need to sit down and think before typing the password for a new site?

>introducing a single point of failure
i thought this board was supposed to be tech literate

It can be annoying as fuck depending on the site

So is reusing passwords.
Something you will do if you have over 50 passwords. At least if you use secure ones.

I doubt you have more than 50 important accounts. Most accounts are just shitty throwaway accounts you need to do something on a shitty website, in that case i just use the same throwaway email and throwaway password.

it's practically muscle memory now

You're right, I only have 37 right now. But I've only been using a password manager for like 2 months and would definitely have more otherwise.

Maybe 3 of those are throwaway accounts, but I still wouldn't want to lose those in case a server had shitty security.
It's nice to have it all organized, especially if you have multiple accounts on the same site, and can't use the same email/username.

How many different sites do you use? I don't think I regularly frequented that many sites even during the late 90s/early 2000s

>single password/"the voices in my head" fags ITT

Oh look, no database to pilfer. Find a problem now.

>[phrase]service/site name[phrase+number]
>add special character if requested to end

Wow, that was so fucking hard to do oh my god. What the fuck is wrong with all you people? Is this 'tech' board full of the mentally retarded or something? Why in the FUCK would you use a service to manage passwords of all the things while posting on a tech board? My modular password means unique passwords for everything which are also virtually impossible to remember. Seriously, you're all fucking dumb and probably underage.

>got into your computer
You've fucking lost already, no matter where you store your passwords. Does nobody on this site understand security ?

>muh single point of failure
Yeah, if a hacker had access to not only your encrypted password file but also the password to it
You would have to be pretty fucking retarded for that to happen

Around 25 atm in the password manager. But I also store other passwords, like passwords for encrypted files in different locations. Things I don't want to lose but still want to have unique passwords for.
I keep the most important passwords in my head though, email and such.

It's even worse than a password manager

With password manager, the attacker has to:
>gain access to your database file
>gain access to your master password or key

With "masterpasword" the attacker needs to gain access to your master password.
Even worse, technically it's still possible to deduct the master password from one of your passwords even if you're using a crypto function.
Also you can't just change your master password, you have to change all passwords at the same time.

your head

i dont save my passwords anywhere so no, gaining access to my computer wouldn't grant you access to any of my accounts other than my operating system account.

>forgot my password to websites
>oh yeah, i have that save in my Password Manager Pro Lite Edition™ Free!
>forgot password to password manager

uh oh

I keep the key file on a flash drive which isn't plugged in unless I need to get a password. I also carry a USB OTG cable so I can do the same with my phone.

>too retarded to remember one password
>as opposed to having to remember 50 of them
>it's the password manager's fault

Doesn't stop general password recovery.

>verify password manager account with email or text
>forgot email address AND password
>forgot passcode to phone

my life is in shambles
