390 can barely run 2017 games without stuttering

Fuck what do I do?

bait

The fuck? I play most games at 1440p at high settings.

Are you kidding Hawaii is one of the best long lasting GPU's ever built.

literally just wait 1-2 weeks more for reviews and benchmarks then decide what to do

/thread

My XFX r9 390 still runs everything I throw at it like a champ.

I think you got a bad card.

Still, Vega has enough going for it that it's worth upgrading if you absolutely feel it necessary.

>390 can barely run games without stuttering

Bullshit. My 390x still works great and can run most games smoothly a high or max settings.

Play on medium settings.

>390 can barely run 2017 games without stuttering.
not true. You'd know not to post the FUD on the board where most people own 390, but here we are.
390 plows through 1440p with ease to this day.

>390 can barely run 2017 games without stuttering.
My 390 runs pretty much everything at 1440p/60fps on high settings. That card is amazing.

It's your cpu stuttering, get rid of your shitty bulldozer or 4th gen intel chip. Or any Intel chip you possibly have

Literally wait for Vega, it launches this month.
Any benchmarks you see do not represent the final product.
You'll have to wait ~1 month after Vega is widely available to judge it's real world performance. I'm expecting slightly less (5-10%) than a 1080ti for 30% less money

You're either;
a)Retarded
b)Shill

Either way, kys you subhuman piece of shit

It was the same story with Ryzen. AMD is always a little bit behind on the software side.
The FuryX is better than the 980ti now.
Get fucked you silly cunt.

What, I have a 390

Not all games at 1440p with 144hz, but stil a good card

I was in a similar situation. I upgraded my 6990 to a RX480, but then 6 months in the 480 started causing hard system crashes (on 2 different builds; 8pin card) in some games (even with fans at 100%; temps below 60 deg). I was able to extend it's usefulness by underclocking / undervolting it progressively more and more, but at a 15% underclock / undervolt it was time to give up. This was a couple months ago, so I just went ahead with my planned GPU upgrade early and bought a 1080ti instead of waiting for Vega to upgrade. (haven't gotten around to finishing the RMA for the 480 yet)

I've never owned an nvidia product before, but it's looking more and more like I made a good call given the current GPU shortage and that Vega isn't looking good so far. I'd like to be wrong if only for the sake of meaningful competition.

Nice b8 m8
I r8 it 8/8

I'm still in warranty, will still be for 16 months.

>fury x better than 980ti
some of us play at resolutions greater than 1080

fury x was always better than 980ti at resolution higher than 1080

Sup Forums

What is the logical upgrade path for a 770 user?

>fury x 25fps @4k
>980ti 23fps @4k
yep its better

Maybe you should play something other than ashes of nobody and doom, you retarded AMD shill.

You are asking the wrong place, this board is filled with retarded children who are AMD fanboys, and actual AMD, sony, logitech and various other shills. I only come here to laugh at them.

But do yourself a favor and don't get AMD, it's ovepriced poo in loo hardware for retarded poorfags who fall for AMD's blitzkrieg marketing each time. Ryzen is literally bulldozer 2.0, Vega is shaping up to be a burning pos like Hawaii.

>this board is filled with retarded children who are AMD fanboys
Funny you should say that. I only see somethign else right here.

get an XBoner X

I dunno from recent benchmarks they look about even, NVidia better in some and AMD better in some other titles (Not just AOTS and Doom). Same as it always was.
Why does every AMD thread attract these fuckheaps?

>390 can barely run 2017 games without stuttering.
This is surely the fault of your CPU.

I have a 7970 and it was stuttering in most games with my 2500k. Upgraded to a 1600X, fresh OS install, and no more stutter.

...

>390 can barely run 2017 games without stuttering.
Stop lying, I have a 290 and it runs everything fine. You just need to upgrade your 8350 poojeet.

In GPU land you are 100% hyper-fucked.
The budget cards are all eaten by crypto-shitters, and Nvidia is miles ahead of AMD in the GPU department, so their cards are all marked up to shit.
Vega is going to be another disappointment.

However, Ryzen is great. Unfortunately, Nvidia wasn't just sitting on their ass collecting sheckles like intel was so they're actually still making real cards.

get Xbox One X

>not made by nvidiots
>on par with high end pc
>simple gaming experience
>supports freesync/adaptive sync
>costs half the equivalent spec pc

Pc gaming is DEAD

WTf are you talking about? I have a STOCK R9 290 that I bought at launch and it still works buttery smooth on new games.

>390 can barely run 2017 games without stuttering.
Wrong.
