>Adobe has announced it will stop distributing and updating Flash Player at the end of 2020 and is encouraging web developers to migrate any existing Flash content to open standards. Apple is working with Adobe, industry partners, and developers to complete this transition.
>Apple users have been experiencing the web without Flash for some time. iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch never supported Flash. For the Mac, the transition from Flash began in 2010 when Flash was no longer pre-installed. Today, if users install Flash, it remains off by default. Safari requires explicit approval on each website before running the Flash plugin.
>To display rich interactive content in the browser, WebKit—the engine that powers Safari—supports the latest standards, including the following:

Steve didn't kill Flash. He simply predicted its death. It should have been obvious when Flash for Android was killed. Even more so when Silverlight went.

For instance: if you have a binary of a program inplementing some network protocol, you can run automated randomised tests on it, basically flood it with garbage or semi-garbage, and wait until it crashes. You then reprofuce this bug and watch what happens to the program's data.
Besides, in theory, you can always look at the assembler code and search bugs there.

Thank fuck. Flash is one big security hole.
But now they're going to stop updating it, we'll have a permanently insecure version of flash rolling around! Fun!
Matthew Gomez
There might be ready software that does it, but more probably some custom scripts and software are used. It all depends on the specific case, so it's hard to make tools for this kind of work. The ones that exist either check for known vulnerabilities or have such broad use cases that you could as well write it all by yourself. If you are interested in pen testing, you can check out the list of software in Kali Linux.
Joshua Rogers
Yeah, if you look in the right places for a URL.
They released a DRM free version of CS2 and the associated programmes.

>Flash is one big security hole. This is a meme. Been hearing this since when.. 2000? And there was never a single proper widespread attack whatsoever. It's just bullshit.
Also Chrome had proper sandbox for Flash since day 0.

>completely independant from Adobe Flash It's literally sandboxed adobe flash with a newer API Nothing more
With html5 obsoleting flash, an endless selection of superior pdf software, and gimp photo editor every bit as good as photoshit, adobe is pretty much bankrupt and finished. Kind of sad.
Nathaniel Thomas
Free CS2 for everyone? Why have I not heard of this?
Austin Wood
it's not free it means "we no longer check whether you are using pirated product"
Thomas Barnes
So it's free
Camden Phillips
