can you fags help me decide?

Is there something similar to the windows 7 taskbar for linux that lets you pin stuff and browse open windows/programs?

Which service eats less mobile data?
Spotify or online radio?

radio is usually 64k or 128k aac or mp3, I assume spotify has better quality.

how can I install software from source on ubuntu?

Why was OP even born?

the same way it works on any other bistro

a man and a women fugged

>have a picture of some hot teenage girls that are nude that i saved from Sup Forums a while ago
>do google search by image with it
>all of the sites are in russian
Is that what I think it is?

If I compile a python script with PyInstaller into a single executable, can the executable run on machines that don't have python?

I was born to make this thread
My task is complete and my cup of bleach is ready

Recommend me a good mobo for my FX-4100 and my EVGA GTX 950. Actual mobo is pretty shit and it bottlenecks the cpu.

Mobo has practically zero difference on performance with a 4100. Leave it until you go to a new mobo+CPU+RAM all at once.

I have an absurd understanding of the ps3 system and have to explain some shit in a few hours to someone who only understands 360 shit at a basic level.

In the event they don't understand something I've said, should I give a shit and try dumbing it down or just gloss over it.

Having to explain the difference between a disc game and HDD game went somewhat expected but at the same time there's a language barrier that's making it harder.

Now for my stupid question. how do I compile a folder of shit with only .c and .h and a makefile on Windows. I'm too fucking lazy to build it on Linux because that requires a reboot and that's just not on my to-do list tonight

Fedora or Ubuntu. Especially Fedora.

Yes.

Install suitable build environment (most likely you want MSYS + MinGW) as well as any necessary libraries including windows SDK if the program links against that, run make.

I'll probably buy an used pc that comes with a 4th gen i7 and change the cpu+mobo, but I still gotta buy a new mobo for that (it's an office pc). Recommend me a good one

>there's a language barrier
That alone is usually enough to make me abandon any attempt at explaining anything of meaningful complexity

What CPU would you be changing to?

What'll you be using it for?

language is actually a lot more complicated than people think
if it were so easy we would have more than passable machine translator software

can anyone identify what pic related is?

It's small but it's there for sure. It won't impact the overall message if I simplifies it enough

Not taken. Itd be command line shit once compiled anyway so I don't have too much problem otherwise. I just dread compiling on Windows.

All I know is it's a 4th gen i7. My dad is buying that used pc because he needs one for his office and I'm giving him my current cpu so I get to keep the i7.

>What'll you be using it for?
Mostly vidya and whatever I need for college (engineering undergrad). I don't play that much so it doesn't need to be the best mobo out there. Current gpu is an EVGA GTX 950 SSC

You sidnt even answer the question. I know some plans allow free Spotify streaming. Or download offline

No it's not child porn you pedo

So don't buy any new motherboard then, stick with what you've got.

probably not, but you should share them to be sure

Guy who was having a problem with Microsoft Cabinet Maker earlier.
I figured out that Windows Updater was the problem and got it to stop opening cabinet maker every 30 seconds using the program's troubleshooter from the windows website, but now searching for updates returns a "0x80080005" error. How do I fix this?

is CS a meme or is it something that has potential to be employed in?

Google it

If you're ACTUALLY good at programming, you won't suffer. Else you'll be just a code monkey. Easiest way to achieve something is to specialize in some weird programming language like R and be REALLY good at mixing it with math

Yes and yes.
SE is easier.

Can I sniff local traffic from a wpa2 network if I know the AP password? If so what terms should I be looking to learn more, most info I find is for cracking networks with unknown passwords.

a/s/l?

How do I git gud at programming?

What? You asked which used less data? I said radio uses less data.

Should I get a non-magnetic screwdriver if I'm going to open the case and disassemble the parts?

dress like a school girl and program

Nah it's fine. They aren't strong enough to do anything unless you open your HDD and rub them on the platters.

I assume you're using Ubuntu, whose DE is not very Windows-esque. Install KDE, it lets you pin shit and have a panel of windows in the style of Windows.

Download the source, build it, and then run it's binary.

can i use VMware or Hyper-V to use my other computer like a virtual machine?

Real stupid question here:

I've started work in data entry. The upshot is it's so braindead simple and antisocial that I can just put headphones in at the start of my workday and chill without having to interact with anyone. The problem comes with having enough stuff to listen to to fill out a workweek.

I've been listening to podcasts and shit but because they're in small chunks I listen to the same intros and adds and outros over and over. I thought I should look into audiobooks instead.

The thing is, I'm working in a secure facility and we can't have any cameras of any sort, so instead of listening to my phone I have this ancient-ass mp3 player. Shit like audible won't work, and even if I pirate audiobooks they tend to be in other formats. What should I do in terms of finding mp3 books or converting the ones I have?

youtube-dl question
how can I use it to target a directory for my download, instead of using the command from the directory I want the video in?

Your games aren't going to run at playable performance in a VM. GPU passthrough is a thing, but it is likely that your hardware won't support it, and you have to do a bunch of configuration to get it going. Wendell from tek syndicate has a video up if you want to investigate this option, but it's not worth the hassle tbqh just yet. You're better off dual booting whatever Linux distro alongside Windows. Linux actually has a lot of good games available through Steam, and a bunch of older games like GTA4 and CoD MW2 run practically flawlessly through Wine, but if you want to play the latest AAA games you'll have to go with Windows on bare metal at the moment. Gaming is dumb anyway.

But to answer your question, really any Linux distro will be good with VM's because they all use the same virtualization software at the end of the day. But Fedora is likely ahead of the curve with VM technologies, since it's backed by Red Hat who does loads of VM-related shit and is updated the quickest besides maybe Arch. You'll have to add rpmfusion to dnf's sources though (it's just one line in the terminal) since you'll probably want to watch movies and porn, and Fedora doesn't have patent-encumbered codecs in their repository.

Uh, you could maybe image the hdd and do it. Are you sure you don't want VNC or RDP?

What other formats are they? If they are just other normal music formats the usual recommendation round here is to use ffmpeg.

that's a loaded question

Check the man page you moran. The -o argument accepts a path with optional formatting elements.

youtube-dl -o /home/user/stuff/.porn/tyrone-smashes-skinny-teen.mp4

Install ffmpeg, and then google "how do I convert to mp3 with ffmpeg" and go with the first or second stack exchange answer. What workplace is it, sekret government shit or prison?

Is there a way to keep the default file name, instead of manual entry?
Also, how would this work with a playlists?

literally in the manual

Got it, thanks.

Is self learning programming worth it if my end goal is to get a job in the field? I'd go to college but it's not really in the cards financially at the moment

Alright, so if I start running a NAS with the drives formatted with ZFS and half the space is running in parity of the other half, do I still need to have the recommended 1GB of ram per 1TB of storage? Or can I have 8GB with a full 16TB array.

I knew someone who worked at a toyota lab in thialand doing night vision computer vision research and their lab didn't have internet and they had to leave their devices outside.

Thanks anons. Looks like ffmpeg should do the trick.

It's just a private company that does secure data entry and shredding and the like.No juicy sekrit documents, the most heinous things I've seen so far were emails written in Comic Sans.

What am I doing wrong? It says syntax error with unexpecte3d token '('
youtube-dl --get-filename -o ~/Download/FASTLAND\ FM\ Trax\%(title)s-%(ids)s.%(ext)s soundcloud.com/fastland/sets/fmtrax

Quick Guide for retards to crack a wpa2 WiFi?

> shredding
> emails written in Comic Sans
You're doing God's work user. Keep it up!

Wrap the filename in single quotes, as per github.com/rg3/youtube-dl#output-template-examples

Unless you have access to a cluster of computers with powerful GPUs don't bother. Getting the hash is easy, but cracking it to discover the password isn't. You're better off getting a job to get your own internet connection Tyrone.

>\%(title)
^ remove dat backslash

search for "social engineering" or "breaking and entering and using ethernet cables" or if you are feeling very adventurous "wpa2 dictionary attacks"

How to make clover open links with chrome instead of default Android browser? Samsung ace 4. Thx.

$ youtube-dl --get-filename -o ~/Download/FASTLAND\ FM\ Trax\'%(title)s-%(ids)s.%(ext)s' soundcloud.com/fastland/sets/fmtrax
bash: syntax error near unexpected token `('

>bash: syntax error near unexpected token `('

The entire path of the file is its name.

I said remove that last backslash you giant dumb!

Is there a go-to site Sup Forums uses to find books and PDFs that isn't a private tracker? Trying to find textbooks for grad school.

That just uses the app that is set to handle http links. It ain't a clover specific setting. First result from search is ghacks.net/2013/05/23/how-to-clear-and-change-default-apps-on-android/

library genesis gen.lib.rus.ec/

$ youtube-dl --get-filename -o ~/Downloads/FASTLAND\ FM\ Trax/'%(title)s-%(ids)s.%(ext)s' soundcloud.com/fastland/sets/fmtrax

This one worked but I lost the files it downloaded.
/home/user/Downloads/FASTLAND FM Trax/Anime Steez-NA.mp3
/home/user/Downloads/FASTLAND FM Trax/Anime Steez part II-NA.mp3
/home/user/Downloads/FASTLAND FM Trax/Heliosphere City-NA.mp3

/home/user/Downloads/FASTLAND FM Trax/our time-NA.mp3
/home/user/Downloads/FASTLAND FM Trax/MyAcceleratingDeathship-NA.mp3

Also, how would I configure it to go to my Downloads directory instead of just be the filename?

There is no way other than the way you are using.

But it didn't download anything. I went into the directory manually and did
youtube-dl --audio-quality 0 soundcloud.com/fastland/sets/fmtrax

and it downloaded fine.

That's because you replaced --audio-quality 0 with --get-filename on the one that doesn't work. Are you blind?

You're missing the whole point. This is useless. Maybe in a few hours someone else can glance over it and help em.

Im not a faggot, fuck you.

at that point won't you be competing with grad level data science specialists?

Does the Intel HD3000 iGPU have stuttering issues with 1080p video?

Friend gave me this old macbook pro 15 mid 2010 for free. I'd like to use it for watching movies/TV but I've been having a strange stuttering issue where the screen will stutter every 10 seconds or so when watching a video. Audio is unaffected. The problem goes away if I switch to the dedicated nvidia graphics (which also destroys the battery life).

I've tried watching local files, Kodi, Popcorntime, youtube, and they all experience this issue.

This model of macbook was plagued with a Graphics related kernel panic bug caused by a faulty tantalum capacitor on the motherboard controlling voltage to the GPU framebuffer. I found a patch that lowers dGPU performance and stops the kernel panics, but it's only available for OSX so I can't test for this issue on windows or linux until I replace the faulty cap.

Any way to remedy this?

Thanks for your time.

hope that you can exploit wps on whatever router you're trying to attack. it was a big thing when the exploit first came out but idk if the reaver meme still works on anything anymore

other than that the fastest way to crack wpa2 is to finish out your phd and create a functioning quantum computer to do that for you

Hm. Okay I see what you mean, I mis understand the --get-filename flag. Thank you user, sorry I ever doubted you. This also explains why I previously could not find the files.
It's working perfectly.

How do I woo a girl, through programming?

a png

Is she a robutt? Because if not you are shit out of luck ;(

>get SDE position at a large company in a high cost of living area
>high cost living area so you can negotiate a decent salary
>if you're smart you can find cheap housing and still get to work
>follow generic dating advice with your apparently godly salaries that are actually middle class where you live.

Is VirtualBox as bad as Sup Forums says compared to VMWare? What other free options do I have on W7?

why is python used heavily by netsec people?

>still works
Im not that guy but I just discovered my router has had it enabled for months (someone might be reading this 0_0) so you mean it has been patched or whatever?

You can try cracking the wps or whatever but most newer routers cuck you over by having an AP rate limit, basically meaning after a certain amount of tries and whatnot it locks you out. There is some sort of script to help you with that but it does little to no help anyways. You could always try

It's not bad. It has way more options in the free version. It just isn't stellar at sapping the most performance out of your system. If your needs aren't too heavy it generally works pretty well. If you ever go to windows 8 or above you can throw down with hyper-v

> Is she a robutt?
no, ultra normie

Yeah i was thinking something more practical. Like installing a keylogger on her [spoiler]mac[/spolier]; then pretend to share identical intrests.

>pretend to share identical intrests.
It's like dating yourself, which is great in the sack but boring af out of it. Shiggy.

Script kiddies love scripting language, news at eleven.
When you are looking for vulns you don't want to have to recompile all the time and it has a more tools to use because I guess it got the jump on ruby and perl and lua and js early on due to some coincidence.

jizz on a sock and rub it into her macbook keyboard so she grows fond of your smell

what do i make my intresets then?
my = !hers?
my |= hers?
my ^= hers?
...

But I don't want my socks to smell like appels

I need help deciding what new phone to get, right now I've got a samsung galaxy core.
I live in Australia and my budget for a plan is around $40 a month. I went to the major telecom stores today and I can get a 32gb I-Phone SE for that much.
Are they any good?

moto e

They're good if you like tiny ass phones and apple. Personally I'm a fan of neither.
