"165W"

missed a zero there

>AMD sweating bullets
why
threadripper specs look better

165 watt and given how this is intel it will probably be 250 watts

>Specs are everything
>Doesn't realize AMD just superglues shitty chips on a single die.

Joopoos BTFO

>vega
>375 starting

>4 core variant almost twice the TDP of the 1700

The whole planet is sweating alright.

>moar housefire abortions
>4c/4t 112W
D O A
O
A

>Sweating bullets
>You can get top of the line TR for price of a 7900x

Intel is literally on suicide watch

Well, at least the AMD "glue" helps on the processing, while Intel glue just keep the lid in place.

1700 8c/16t 65watts
7820x 8c/16t 140 watts
7740x 4c/8t 112watts

yeah we can assume 100% that amd will have a field day pretty much till 2020

>"140W"

>comparing the tdp of a cpu to the tdp of a gpu
you realize you could've just pointed out how threadripper is 180w right...

Oh shit, AMD is getting completely wrecked by the Core-X on this match:

>till 2020
Assuming Intel's new jewery will even be good.

...

Intel is generally quite good at recoveries and emergency strategies.
Otherwise the 6502 would have killed em.

The Obvious point that I made was that AMpoos like to rave about TDP, instead when it's about GPU's then all of a sudden TDP is out the window and they don't care about it anymore.

Even though the gpu burns much more power than the cpu

It's always insane seeing how low voltage these chips need but the insane power consumption that comes from them.

Meanwhile Ryzen goes close to 1.45V and doesn't use much power.

Nobody cares about Vega, I'm getting a 1600 and a 1070.

oh no im talking only for zen im assuming that zen will reign..

when we start to see rumors about zen 2 tdp and core size then we can start talking about the decomission of intel cause those nuclear housefire they created needs to be disposed safely for them not to cause a second global warming

Yeah and that's expected. Any gpu having cpu-like TDP is going to have shit performance.

Well, you're kinda trying to glue the GPU and CPU by force here, while in reality, ryzen and radeon are different products, and you don't need to defend both products at the same time.
This is not soccer.

No, they're only good at bribing everything and flinging shit.

yeah the had to pay off the entire industry when the athlon xp came out in order to survive i doubt they can do the same here

we are literally watching the AMD IS BANKRUPT in reverse atm

I am glueing them together because the people defending them often defend the brand not the product. And you know that's true.

Theres plenty of people in here that will bitch in one thread about intel tdp but ignore the much lower tdp on nvidia cards in the next

nobody was even talking about gpus. Intel doesn't make dedicated gpus so it's not even a "hahaha intel is so much better than amd" thing. it's "REEE I HATE VALUE FUCK AMD POORFAGGOTS"

fuck I meant to (You)

No shit, but AMD does make gpu's and cpu's dumbass

Come on Intel, go for 666W, you can do it, I believe in you!

so you admit you're just hating amd and not the product. what a tard

I never said that they're honest, just good at surviving.
But just to describe the thing because i feel like writing shit, intel had a whole future and roapmap based on the CP/M system.

The plan was to sell their $200 8080 CPU and another $200 in memory controller and I/O controller chips and the CP/M would warrant that you're locked to their platform.
Then 6502 appeared from nowhere, being twice as fast as the 8080 per cycle and costing only $25 dollars and fucked em hard.
Then they tried to jew and force the CP/M to squash the 6502 on the computing market and then the Z80 appeared, being 100% CP/M compatible, with the memory controller and I/O integrated on the same chip, and costing under $50 dollars, stealing the intel's ecosystem.

I'm not entirely sure how the fuck intel survived that, but they did.

why should they?

>Its final Cinebench score of 2905 puts it about 30 - 32 percent faster than Intel's 10-core Core i9 7900X Skylake-X processor. When you consider the 16-core Ryzen Threadripper 1950X will retail for $999, the same price as Intel's 10-core 7900X, Threadripper seems to represent an excellent value for enthusiasts, gamers, and workstation professionals that run highly threaded workloads and usage models.

So you need to pay more to get an intel chip that matches the threadripper.

Where's NUMA domains?

>Though we're told Alienware is still optimizing the Area-51 Threadripper Edition for peak performance, as you can see it still puts up some rather impressive numbers for a pre-production unit.

>dual core turbo
who cares?

We already know the 18c/36t Xeon Gold 6150, which the 7980XE is just a rebrand of, is slower than the 1950X.

Skymeme-X is utterly totally and completely DOA.

The 1950x, by comparison.

threadripper 1950x scored around 2900 points in the lastest alienware promo

alienware has slow ram. it was 2666.

I don't think cinebench is ram sensitive desu

It is for Zen afaik.

infinity fabric is. so it is sensitive.

3062 [email protected] in the AMD video.

I'm going by the ~3050 it scored in AMD's video about it and the info that came out that day, not by the slightly slower results obtained off the Dell prebuilt.

3300+ @3.8ghz(cpu clock wall)

2.6 GHz base clock
4.4 GHz turbo*

*Achievable for 1 core for 0.5 seconds once every 20 seconds

>tfw made that comic in june
>missed the base clock by .1GHz
>predicted TDP
wew, first time my prediction skills were this accurate.

Why the fuck do mods let these obvious troll/bait threads stay up
