Macs really are the best and most reliable

Sup Forums completely and utterly BTFO.

thurrott.com/mobile/microsoft-surface/132728/consumer-reports-microsoft-surface-dead-last-reliability

CR says that Apple computers have the lowest breakage rate after 2 years of use. Microshit has the highest. Lenovo and their ChinkPads have 110% higher breakage rate.

Moral of the story? Never trust Sup Forums shills.

>acer is 3rd
at the first glance you can tell this graph is bullshit.

Wish they broke that down per product range, rather than per brand.

Dell and Lenovo make mostly shitty $300 cunsumer crap.

Doesn't sat much about XPS or Thinkpad ranges.

>Moral of the story?
Never trust a graph where sub-200€ pc are compared to 2000€ pc

Hahaha TheVerge dropped surface products from the recommendation list because of that.

Panos was phrasing them 2 days ago and now is full of hate and doing damage control.

...

TheVerge gets checks from Microsoft for advertising.
CR doesn't get checks from anyone.
I know who I'm gonna trust.

why dont you explain acer and hp being higher than microsoft, while microsoft only produces $600+ laptops and you can buy shit tier acers for $130+

>Beliving in companies at all.

>mother's 200$ lenovo working for 11 years
>my 400$ lenovo working for 6 years
>friend's 400$ lenovo working for 5 years
I don't know what to trust anymore

>Yes I would take care of my $2000 laptop too!

>My cheap Lenovo working for 6 years.

How the fuck does a computer break after 2 years

That's because apple users don't even know when their shit is broken. In all honesty everyone I've seen with an iPhone uses a broken one.

Bullshit, I am constantly fixing macs, more than I fix any other brand of computer

you're a moron.

>Apple doesnt engineer better
kek

There's literally nothing to explain.

How come apple shills always get so mad when you say their brand is bad? Are they all just gay?

Why are you mad at this thread? Does the truth make you uncomfortable, faggot?

>prebuilts
Nice try

>*Only first party Apple stores are counted
Apple numbers are downplayed and you fucking know it

thats because people throw away the other pcs when it breaks instead of servicing it

my fucking god, the point went over your head like a fucking turtle and you still missed it

no wonder you're fixing pc for a living with that level of intelligence

>inb4 its because people dont use macs beyond watching videos and movies

Actually, Acer stuff tend to break AFTER the 2nd year, not WITHIN the 2nd year.

Probably because MS is new at making hardware?

>Probably because MS is new at making hardware?
>xbox launched in 2001

>Probably because MS is new at making hardware?
Microsoft designs the stuff, Foxconn etc make it.
Besides, I have a Microsoft Z-80 card for the Apple II. Made in 1980. Microsoft are not new at hardware.

>add "thinkpad" to the image under lenovo
>-7%

MBP uber alles!

I really wonder if some brands are more or less likely to be physically treated like shit ≈ more likely to break.

I'd be interested to know how the Lenovo stats break down between the traditional Thinkpads (Txxx/Xxx/Pxx) lines and their other models.

ThinkPads probably break less although I had a ThinkPad Twist die on me in 2014 after approximately 14 months of use.

>2-in-1
That's why I was specifically talking about their traditional workhorse lines. If the shape of the six year old T420 I'm currently using is anything to go by, they survive regular wear and tear like nothing else I've seen before.

>traditional Thinkpads
those don't exist anymore user.

They're not quite the T60, but a modern T470 isn't half bad.

Sup Forums on suicide watch

>t. mactoddler brainlet that doesn't even understand different product lines

theyre part of the same GROUP brainlet

>a $300 laptop vs a $3000 laptop from the same company must be built to the same standard

>t. mactoddler brainlet

>other brands have a range of products from cheap to expensive
>apple only has expensive "quality"

OP, remember that class about misrepresenting data?

Don't be too hard on mactoddlers, their tiny peanut brains would overload trying to process this.

Consumer Reports said in one of its Surface recaps:

Apple stands out as being the most reliable laptop brand. Microsoft, on the other hand, is less reliable than most other brands. Due to its comparatively higher breakage rate, Microsoft laptops cannot be recommended by Consumer Reports at this time.

These conclusions are based on our breakage rate estimates for laptops by the end of the 2nd year of ownership, gathered from subscribers' experiences with 41,304 laptops purchased new between 2014 and the first quarter of 2017. Our statistical model estimates breakage rates for laptops not covered by a service contract and accounts for the number of hours of use per week. Differences of less than 5 points aren't meaningful. Models within a brand may vary, and changes in design or manufacturer may affect future reliability. Still, choosing a brand with a lower estimated breakage rate can improve your odds of getting a dependable model.

>These conclusions are based on our breakage rate estimates
>estimates

lmao

based on data, yes. stay cucked, pajeet.

>estimates
>data

Pick one.

>you paid 150% more for it
>it lasts 10% longer

Wow you win im completely btfo!! !

>Apple and Samsung at the top
>the two companies pushing out the absolute largest amount of explosive trash in the last decade
>the two companies that spend the most time aggressively shilling their brand and """""image"""

Totally believable.

But I built my own. Its more reliable than any OEM built PoS. 5 years no issues. Optional graphics and ram upgrades made.

>i evaluate my self-worth upon how much money i can piss away, while chastising others who don't spend like me

>laptops
Wow it's almost like all laptops have shit build quality. I'll definitely agree apple makes the least shitty prebuilt laptops, other than enterprise laptops or models specifically designed for durability. I have to point out though that this graph is basically meaningless since we don't know the models, price points, test conditions... And it's based on a survey and not an actual trial of any kind.

Kek litterally Mac toddler "scientific data"

>Mac toddler
argument immediately invalidated.

t. faggot

please avoid typing green text with all caps

These results are fabricated.

>acer is more reliable than the rest
never buying dell or lenovo again

a2ns my self built desktop has a 0 percent breakage rate

>acer, samsung, apple, hp at the top

This.
Asus failures are likely well up at the moment due to Intel's broken SoCs suddenly just dying out of nowhere as they do.

Comparing equipment from 6 years ago to equipment made 1/2 years ago.
hurr durr?

I can fabricate results with my favorite brand at the top, with even more unbelievable numbers (say, ,000001% breakage). Does that mean everyone should buy that brand too?

>>acer, samsung, apple, hp at the top
Apple's the only one who still makes good laptops. Rest is shit.

kiddos who bought $300 shit laptops that break in two years complain and end up in those results
macfags suck it up and repair it pretending it's not an issue, they're less likely to report such issues. It's like expecting a stockholm syndrome victim to report rape
not to mention they clearly don't go on consumer reports because they've already made such bad decisions such as buying a mac

>macshit
>good

top zozzle

they have fantastic build quality but people aren't buying them due to price.

>anecdotal evidence local BB

>Macs
>fantastic build quality
Pick one, shit breaks if you look at it funny.

I mean Microsoft only makes "high-end" tablets and laptops so their reliability rating is comparatively far worse than the others than include cheapo laptops. Every other brands' high end should be similar to Apple's (probably 12% or so) while Microsoft easily doubles that.
