Yes goy, we Haifa boys are ready!

>blast off

will they introduce a 4/8 i3 or this rumor turned out to be false?

We still don't know how they're planning on artifically segmenting their lineup this time. Or pricing. Or anything else, really.

Just remind

infoworld.com/article/3186781/processors/intels-cannonlake-pc-chip-shipments-may-slip-into-next-year.html

>Those 8th Generation Core laptops may be more attractive to customers. The first 10-nm Cannonlake chips will be slower than 14-nm 8th Generation Core processors. Intel acknowledged the speeds during the manufacturing event, with a chart showing 10-nm chips catching up with 14-nm chip performance in one to two years.

SLOWER THAN 14NM CHIPS
AHAHAHAHAAH

>space shuttle
How suitable. Can't wait for this to crash and burn like the Columbia

Intel wants to put things into IGNITION

great, I was planning on upgrading next year but wasn't sure if I should just wait for 9th gen. Now I'm just going to go for coffee lake as soon as it's available.

nah I'm sticking with haswell, you have fun watching electromigration fuck your cpu apart before it's a year old though

I'm looking forward to seeing how Intel will cuck the sales of their own products like they did with i3 after releasing the G4560

>Yet another damage control for Cannon Lake that never arrives

No, thank you.

Quads never lie.

This. Also nice get.

Changelog:
>Intel HD graphics renamed to Intel UHD graphics with no improved iGPU, only name change
>10nm slower than 14nm+++++++++++++++++

LoL

wasn't 7th gen released in february this year? Intel doing release cycles every 6 months now?

but goy you do want 6c right?

Say with me:

YET ANOTHER BLUNDER

They changed from Tick-Tock to Dick-Dock.

I wouldn't count out Intel just yet. With aggressive pricing and a solid lineup, they could hit AMD right back.

will this need a new socket?

>6c6t $300 i5
COFFIN LAKE

No, but it will need a new chipset, so you'll need a new motherboard anyway, goy.

It's Intel, it will either need a new socket or a new chipset.

Z370 chipset without backwards compatability guy

Buy comfy ryzen apus later this tear.

...

Then... what's the advantage? Lower power consumption? Just Intel thinking people will buy their new chips anyway?

I mean... if you have a CPU that performs well then why would you "upgrade" to a slower one? Is this why they put toothpaste instead of solder in their CPUs, so they will fail and people will be forced to "upgrade"?

Even better, he could skip right all the way to a ryzen R7 laptop.

pcworld.com/article/3199028/computers/asus-debuts-the-first-ever-ryzen-laptop-with-a-mobile-radeon-surprise-too.html

Rumour is they were able to keep all 8 cores at 3 GHz under load.

Except they don't have any of that.
They can't go with aggressive pricing or it will eat into their margins and their shares will go down quickly.
Their current lineup is a fucking disaster and there's no indication of improvement in the future. Intel postponed 10nm several times already and the current roadmap only counts with 10nm mobile chips (and slower than 14nm) with desktop ones coming a generation later. Their current architecture is milked dry and new one is slated for 2021.
In short, Intel has nothing and it is going to become only more obvious as time goes on.

Ayymd is dead
Amdrones on suicide watch
6 cores eating alive 8 ryzen toy cores

I mean how fucking scared is intel right now.

im not shitting on their products, im rocking a sexy 4670K

but releasing 3 fucking platforms in a year, where two of them arent even needed is beyond stupid at this point. and all platforms require new motherboards and have some stupid limitations like high thermals, low clocks, or even shitty PCIE lanes.

like the 7740k. this must really be the dumbest cpu ever. its basicly a 7700k that is hotter and overall more expensive but slower in performance.

it just doesnt make sense. i mean they could just lower the prices of the current gen cpus and still be very competitive.

but then again who would want a cpu that reaches 100c on air and needs to be clocked to 5.0ghz to be competitive.

THANK YOU BASED INTEL

>hedt platforms are used for gaming
SOPA

Gotta fit that V-Pro Intel ME in there somehow right?

Muh certified cinebench and winzip specialist

>they could just lower the prices
The phrase 'Lower prices' gets you shot by mossad, in intel.

>what are VMs
You can literally have 16 VMs each running 2 threads, 4GB of RAM (64GB total), 128GB of SSD space (2TB total), all sharing resources between 4 Vega 56 GPUs. You're already set for an entire office floor or school computer lab.

But NO, we all have to play the latest cowa dooty 4 XL elite on a fucking HEDT platform right? CUNT

Already got it with my 200 Ryzen 5. Also has 12 threads Mr.Shlomo

this is a factor many people are missing, and you can still play those shitty games on that system too with shared gpu resources.

a vega 64 can probably churn out 4 instances of a shitty game on medium graphics no problem

...

The only time the Intel Inside logo is used well.

Kill yourself BR glueeater.

pls buy intel
pls

...

75% of Intel executives are paid in stock, their shares MUST NOT go down.
And lowering your margins is a surefire way to get your shares down.
This is Intel's biggest shackle

I believe they only need 60% margins across the board, not on every product line.

Client sales are 70% of their revenue

And you will power with a nuclear reactor?
Look I can see poo ripper value as a VM server, but going 16 vms with 2 threads is such a retarded idea it could only come from someone who never used a server

>associating their processor with literal fire
doesn't look good for intel here

Nice piece of shit. But I know you plebs at amd enjoy 1080p 60hz cripsy games

Let's face 6 poozen cores can't even compete with a 7700k isn't a matter of taste amd cores are shit compared to intel

muh nm, muh BEOL

UMA?

10nm+ won't even be faster than 14nm++ according to Intel's own marketing slides. Or will be barely as fast.

I diots
N ever
T beat
E AMD's
L Ryzen

Will believe it when I see it.

Intel's 10nm looks like a mess compared to competitors. Look at the mask count, lol

10nm+ ~= 14nm++

Meanwhile AMD will be enjoying 40% more performance and 60% less power draw with the new IBM/GloFo 7nm.

Because a 5ghz single core overclock on a quad core isn't doing anyone any good if you have anything running in the background while your gaem is eating up all 8 threads like PUBG and others are want to do.

Kill yourself, BR glueeater.

...

~300W per GPU, about the same for the rest of the machine, roughly 1500W. Dual PSU cases exist user, you could use one 1600W for the GPUs and a ~550W for everything else and have more than enough power.

Holy fuck, that's gonna be expensive to produce. How will Intel's margins survive?

Dunno, you'll have to just wait(tm) and see.

2 cores 4 threads per VM makes a lot more sense. And use some low power RX 550 because Vega 56 is just going to be a huge CPU bottleneck and pretty much pointless.

>have a Z170 board
>bought an R5 1600 the moment news dropped that Covefe Lake wouldn't be compatible with older chipsets
You played yourself, Intel

A socket a year keeps the goyim in fear!

DELET

Yes drone use the inferior product while waiting© for amd promises of node magic New year.

Print this and will, if it manages to deliver a new CPU next year, max 10% performance. It's no news amd is the poor man option and not performance option. The hype about 5 GHz on zen 7 are out of control.

>promises of node magic New year
lol.

Get back to work, Brian.

>inferior product
Would that be the overpriced quad core that's only slightly better in one specific area and sucks at everything else?

...

Guess who will sell their products with higher price

So they can lose even more market to AMD? Hmm, a $300 quad-core with no SMT, or a $300 8-core with SMT that also has an upgrade path....yeah, think I'll go with the 8-core.

Well, if they cared about market share, we would see a price cutdown on something like 7700k or new Xeons.
Instead we see what? No price cutdowns, and top Xeon doubled (?) in price. Oh and shitposting tier marketing slides.

AYYMD will be blasted into oblivion after this. Just wait and see!

>when I die cremate me with my i9 so that I can be burned by Intel one last time.

Muh margins.
Muh BEOL scaling.
Performance?
Who needs performance?

>not cremating your i9 with a different i9

It's like pottery

I'm waiting for 9th, or 10th gen intel to be honest. I should be good until then.

>Intel 10nm process is a mess
>amd partners' 7nm process is a good
Is this the power of friendship?

Probably a 4/4 i3

It's all because Intel knows only poorfags buy amd. Everyone desiring pure performance but Intel.
Sorry to shatter you wet dream about muh underdog

>Depending on someone else for your own gains
>Fanatically believing that some magic will deliver a 7nm 5 GHz CPU 8 cores in 2018

This is the power of just wait© amddrones

...

>Everyone desiring pure performance but Intel.
lol. Yep Intel doesn't give a crap about performance or they'd actually have a new architecture out by now.

what does intel have to do with monkey soup

They use it as the TIM under the lid.

lol faggot. These two CPUs cost about the same.

Let's just completely ignore all of these and keep fantasizing that Intel still has a process advantage despite years of delays.

>in b4 muh 18 cores
It'll throttle down from it's 3.4 GHz boost due to shitty TIM guaranteed.

>that mask count
BUT HOW?
HOW DO FUCK UP THIS MUCH?

It's a special talent.

LIKE HOW IN THE WORLD DOES ONE MAKE INFERIOR IN EVERY FUCKING WAY NODE WITH HIGHER MASK COUNT.
AND ITS NOTICEABLY HIGHER.

>8 cores at 3GHz

what exactly would be the point of that, non-meme question.

What the fuck is a mask count?
