You don't need a degree to get a programming job

>you don't need a degree to get a programming job

you don't, but it will be much harder to land anything more than pajeet tier if you don't have one.

>You can get a programming job as a white male

This is good enough for me.
How do I get my foot in the door?

>being happy with a Pajeet tier job when any decent company will give you 200k starting with a proper degree

I'd be more than happy to demonstrate my ability or even have a single interview without a degree

Old companies tend to require degrees. Newer companies don't have that as an absolute requirement. If you're smart and know your stuff, they'll hire you.

>you need a degree to get a programming job

Don't mind me, just performing cardiac surgery without a degree

>you need to know programming to get a degree

No they won't. They'll throw your application in the trash because 10 other people from MIT and Stanford also applied for the aame position.

>They'll throw your application in the trash

This isn't the 90s anymore, grandpa. Physical resumes aren't no longer a thing.

And yet I've yet to seen anyone without a degree here actually at a respectable job.

You're just scared that you'll get replaced.

Things you need to get a programming job:
>Degree

Things you don't need
>Ability to program

>no degree
>working in an international game development company
>been working there for 8 years
>still 27 years old
>make 400k year, will soon be promoted again
all you need is to self learn and build stuff, if you show stuff done by yourself you'll get a job anywhere without degree.
thats what i did, and it worked

Getting a degree is still the easier path, most people won't be able to do what you did

>game development
>400k a year
LOL no. Nice made up story pal.

There's a digital trash that they throw them into.,

I'm getting rejected wherever I apply despite very strong and often perfect interviews. Meh, just life I guess.

What's your skillset?

>perfect interviews
I very much doubt that

>400k a year as a game dev
lmao

No but I go to uni so I can have a few years where all my working time is supposed to go towards learning.

I only am at university, because i am a lazy faggot.
Seriously, i do maybe 3-4 hours of work per day, go home, play vidya, watch some kino and that is it.
At the end i am going to have a degree to show for it, which i can use to get a decent job or atleast a good internshipand later on occupation.
Why would i waste my early twenties working like a maniac, only to burn out at 30 ?

>>you don't need a degree to get a programming job
Unless you're interested in a good salary and/or promotion.
No company will promote someone without qualifications. And they can hire non-grauate "coders" off the street.

>200k starting
Sources on that info

...

>learning angular 2 years
>you black
>denied

ftw no work

Actually yes, this is still a requirement in all practical senses. You always take your resume to interviews regardless of whether or not they already have it. It shows that you have office skills, which you need to interact with anyone who isn't technical at a company.

>get 2 degrees
>too autistic to pass interviews
should have just stayed home and collect autismbux

>>>/IBM/
Not even the bank has asked me for a physical resume, and tech companies? Didn't even need my shirt.

You need at least a PhD to do that legally.

You reap what you sew user...

Actually, yes, I have worked in the old IBM headquarters. I've been doing back to back contracts for the past 2 years so I've interviewed alot, and this simple tip works like a charm. I've been offered jobs directly in the interview by working the professional angle.

nice bullshit, there.

Why do so many of you dream of being a slave? A master needs no degree, all the resources he needs is available over the internet. University is an outdated form of learning, cast away your shackles and build yourself by your own merit; don't aspire to be the underdog.

what about student loans
