i peed my pants playing paranormal activity and it doesnt even seem to be that good of a game. but since i am able to set up my room scale the immersion is fucking tense

Makes me think a Gen 2 is coming with how deep of a discount this is getting. Hoping for a higher res screen and some sort of wireless solution

Why is this thread so dead? I'd expect to at least see shit-flinging between the different VR platforms, but there are maybe 5 posts here and then it dies every time I've seen it.

Not enough hentai girls

Better dead than a smelly shit imo.

bump

Because VR is also dead

anybody got any experience with the treadmills that are available, afaik theres only really rovr and the vue whatever that you can actually buy as virtuix and cyberith seem to have shit the bed...so anybody used either of those...strongly considering getting the Vue thingy but from the couple of videos ive watched there seems to be some pretty appaling latency, dont know if its just the video not being synced though.

dunno why i replied to you just now.

I have a feeling there isn't a sustainable market for these treadmills at all. They don't seem like a great idea as you never actually feel the acceleration and forces you do from normal walking.

I don't know why they've been pushing these meme gen 1 headsets for so long.

they should just concentrate on gen 2 and make it happen asap.

Everyone moved onto shitcoins as the newest technology that you just don't get it bro it's going to be massive.

Maybe consumer VR, but business VR/AR is promising. Visualization, training, etc.

How does a GameCube game look and play better than 90% of actual VR games and take 75% less GPU power yet still runs on a processor below VRs minimum specs?

I know it's 60 fps vs 90 fps, but something just doesn't add up.

Any good VR porn (real VR) other than Waifu Sex Simulator?

wasn't there monster girl island ?

But that looks like shit.

I wore my glasses in my Oculus Rift like Oculus told me I could

The lenses now have scuffs from my frames because Facebook was too cheap to put an antiscratch coating on them as is found in all eyeglass lenses

they are non replacable
Oculus won't repair them
they cause massive bloom
I got my device a week ago

was nice while it lasted I guess

>rubbing glass against a plastic lens

Did you do zero research before buying it or what? It's pretty well known that glasses will scratch the lens. It's shitty, but you should have known better.

it's so tedious to restate everything I already said in my post

Oculus has instructions on using glasses with them on their website
my $200 glasses have an antiscratch coating as all lenses should
no i did not consider that following instructions from the manufacturer would damage my product

read a dictionary or something to get the mental juices flowing

FAQ:

1. "How do I irreparably damage my Oculus Rift?"

support.oculus.com/help/oculus/1756184747952053

It says you can wear glasses, not rub them against the lens

The instructions given there are so it doesn't rub at all (loosening and tightening the straps each time you put it on).

I doubt you made sure they didn't rub since it got scratched.

I bet you get this question all the time, but what's a good chink vr glasses for my smartphone?

my rift has been collecting dust.
regretting getting it 2bh

Im willing to pay upto £700 right now if theres one that has analogue speed, crouch and jump. Im not even wealthy but gaming has been my hobby for a long time and ive dreamed of actually taking a walk around some of the games i play.

what did you get it for? why are you dissatisfied?

This is why literally my first purchase for the Vive was a set of those rubbery-plastic-whatevers that you find on watch faces. Worth every cent of the $15 I paid.

eh i dunno

maybe you should think things through a little more before making a purchase. I was excited af when i ordered my rift and Im not in the slightest dissapointed, been a gamer forever and loving it but a few of my otther projects and interests have been neglected somewhat this past month.

Until they natively support a large majority of games I and a majority of gamers will never buy it. I get they want to psuh their VR specific games, and that's all well and good, but without support for mainstream games it's dead in the water. All everyone wanted was a way to have the game take up the majority of your field of view and be 3D. Instead a vocal minority hijacked it and made it into a room simulator.

vorpx friendo, its better than you think.

>buy this piece of hardware
>have to spend more money on third party software to get varying support for games
Thanks, but no thanks. Rift should come with it's own drivers for games.

IIm gonna buy a £400 piece of hardware but take my ball home over £30 because the world didnt cater to my specific desires.

There are free apps that let you watch your old school games, many of which came out before VR and werent designed with VR in mind, on huge ass virtual screens. As for vorpx charging money, they made a great program that works and are constantly updating it and adding support for more games.
Oculus shouldnt be expected to patch in backwards compatibility for an enormous catalogue of games, theyd never get anything else done. And a lot of popular games are getting VR modes patche din by the developers anyway.

Should i even bother with the rift when my Appartement is super small?
