Almos as good as the minidisc players.
As which minidisc players?
Cassette players look better. The range of interesting designs both from sony and other companies had a huge variety during the era where they were making cassette players. Minidisc players for the most part look similar and have the same form factor.
That high end one from sony.
RH1 I think.
...
I had one of this. Pretty shit tbqh..
...
MZ-RH1 isn't even that nice.
It's maybe one of the nicer products from a large line of boring ones I guess.
I meant to post in the earlier thread but here goes
Beautiful as what, glad I own one
>you really should show this.
So that's the GPD? How is it? Was thinking of getting one for Word use, typing on the go etc.
Watch out user, I have been posting images of my pocket the last couple of days and it seems to trigger everyone.
Its actually really good for what it is. Construction, screen etc all good. Keyboard is also good but needs some simple autohotkey fixes to be better.
>Watch out user, I have been posting images of my pocket the last couple of days and it seems to trigger everyone.
WHO NEEDS THAT WHEN YOU HAVE PHONE WITH BLUETOOTH KEYBOARD HURRR
...
I see these vaios posted in every thread. Does anyone actually own one? Or use one?
Quickly looking, those apparently have some ten year old processors (no even 64bit support).
What's the use case?
yes
absolutely disgusting

...
How long does it take to get used to that disgusting keyboard?
matte screen, magsafe and ports other than tb3 and I'd buy one. until then it is trash

You post something then contrarian shitter.

TFW somebody fucking stole that from when renting it out for class REeEeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. Was expensive as fuck to replace.
keyboard is not for touch typing, in fact I do better just using my thumbs

woo, the op-1, damn fun synth
...
>golden ratios everywhere
>pristine construction
I'd have a better time with that while its switched off and just sat in front of me than using other laptops.
this honestly looks and feels so nice when it has the black controllers. anything else looks abysmal though.
Too bad its only barely above chink shit quality.
Eh I think it feels pretty solid. It's not stunning in its construction but I don't feel as if it's fragile. For the pricepoint I'm impressed it feels as good as it does.
I actually like the color ones too, the neons they use are very soothing on the eye. Though for avoiding attention using a toy in public I would use black

Jesus what is that? It's making me have aspergers visual asmr, those crisp right angles
Onkyo DP-X1 digital audio player
shit that's way sexier. gorgeous
>vacuum tubes
good job falling for jewish tricks
we're discussing aesthetics here, not practicality. That's a $55k headphone + amp combo, no one on this board will ever own one, but people can comment on the looks. Take your argument baiting bullshit to the headphones thread.
favorite clock radio I've ever owned, and cheap too. how does sony do it.
...
This design needs a comeback
It has a nice weight to it, doesn't it? Feels pretty solid.
The only time I worry about anything is when I'm sliding the joycons out. Don't wanna potentially break any connectors, or somehow make it so the joycons permanently sit in it loosely (like when putting the grips on incorrectly).
>The earpads on the Orpheus is notoriously shit and the foam breaks down fast as FUCK
Someone post the broken headband Sennheiser photos PLEASE
>Bio-Cellulose Dome Diaphragms
tfw your drivers rot
In general, laptop makers need to stop with the fucking shitty drop hinges. Even Lenovo for some reason went that way. Ports like Ethernet and power MUST be on the rear. I also don't get why the T430 has rear ethernet but the W530, which is a workstation, doesn't.
the fuck is a drop hinge
I know shit about hinges
most likely by outsourcing to the chinese
I don't know if that's the actual name but its when a laptop's hinge is back mounted instead of top mounted. When you open a back mounted hinge, the bottom of the display covers the rear base, making it impossible to put ports there. When you have top mounted and top axis moving hinges, the laptop screen doesn't interfere with the rear, meaning you can put ports on the back. Top mounted hinges are also a lot nicer when opening the laptop due to the axis.
pic 1/2, superior, more logical hinge placement, crucially too, allowing for batteries to extend out of the rear
pic 2/2
Shitty fucking style choice on business laptops with no upsides and only drawbacks. No ports on the rear possible and no rear extending batteries. Lenovo now does this to all their professional machines minus the 2 models in the P series.
Hm, you're not kidding. So what do you do if you want a bigger battery?
I suppose this style of hinge allows for more room within the screen casing. Except Lenovo still have this enormous bezel instead of putting a 16:10 screen in the space for some reason.
With the modern ThinkPads I think, just think but not bothered to research, that the battery is bottom extending, meaning it props up the back of your machine putting it at an angle like pic related. Before, you had the option to do this too as you can see, this is a W530 with a top mounted hinge and this was a battery larger than the rear extending 9-cell. Modern ThinkPads though only have this downward extending option. Its pretty shit because a lot of seating positions are best with the laptop being minimally tilted.
>I suppose this style of hinge allows for more room within the screen casing
It doesn't really make any difference there, as you say modern ThinkPads still have inches of bezel top and bottom. This is neccesary though because the screen needs to line up with the rest of the machine when closed obviously. However, they could just put in a 16:10 display to cut down on some of the useless fucking dead space. I have no idea why a business machine is 16:9. The X260 you posted could easily house a 16:10 display but no other company than Apple seems to put in that ratio display in a laptop.
Just to add, I just noticed that this machine has BOTH the 9-cell and the bottom one which is huge. Gives a total battery life of around close to 20 hours if you're conservative. The new ones just can't do this. Even the P series because their main battery is on the front left,

i love my yogabook, looks and feels great
only drawback is micro-usb instead of usb-c
>That sticking out hinge
>Ports spaced out in an arbitrary way
I'll take a ThinkPad with an extended battery. It looks better.
that hinge is the stupidest looking thing i've seen in a long time
>nuthinkpads
>good looking tech
Pick one, fucked up keyboards don't look good and are inferior to old ones with great layouts.
>new Lenovo logo
That's enough to make it look bad, but these hinges are shit as well.
I've opened up the screen on my X260 before. The top is taken by antennas and cam+mic, the sides by antennas, hinge and plastic tabs and bottom by the hinge and the panel itself. There actually isn't that much space left.
>pic not related
My dream phone in 2008
Looks like it came straight out of Evangelion. What is it with the Japs and this aesthetic and why do I like it so much?
...
The chassis of the xx30s are identical to the xx20s you retard. Keyboards can be switched with little effort.
Its because that's the way they've designed it to be. Pic related, minus just the webcam still has all the same things in the display as the X260 does, but look at those bezels.
N85 is better, i own it from 2011 to 2016.
The webcam board is actually pretty large.
I guess they just didn't bother to make it smaller, but still, there isn't any free space left inside. I wonder how thin bezels laptops are made.
That board can be shrunken down 10x the current size to be not much bigger than the camera module itself. That X60 I posted came out in 2006. Its been more than 10 years and for some reason bezels have gone backwards instead of at least staying the same.
Not as aesthetic as n95. I mean look at that thin bezel on 95.
>The chassis of the xx30s are identical to the xx20s you retard. Keyboards can be switched with little effort.
Or you can put an ivy bridge into the older gen. I'd rather have an older model number on my laptop.
Idk but for some reason there really isn't much space left inside. You can look up teardown videos, the sides are pretty packed. The top could be better though.
It seems even the panels themselves have huge bezels.
Better pic
...
i've always liked the look of older foxconn boards.
The hinge is much larger/stronger in the second image, I imagine that's why
>phones with physical keyboards
Such a shit phone
Damn those ear buds look fucking greasy
>tfw you have a pair of hd600s that have survived 5 years and 3 moves with no snap
>tfw if I ever did snap the band I could just re-order an OEM band for $30 and replace it myself since the entire set is user serviceable
shrug
That blue/yellow for the ram slots is really nice.
Since the hinge mechanism is dropped inside the case they can make it beefier than in the old design. I agree that this reduces space for potential ports and extensions but there are easy ways to remedy this by putting more universal ports on the side (needing to have a ethernet port on the back is autism), also the "slice" style of extended batteries is more convenient and esthetically pleasing.
That's not a phone. Fuck touchscreen keyboards though.
Man, Sony used to be so based.
I've been thinking about picking one up. Do you have the android or windows version?
