OP livecd is in progress

Fixed problem with no sound in Firefox. There's no sound on the latest ESR ebuild for some reason, so I changed it to release Firefox. emerge -uvD world

wew, this looks like fluxbuntu or one of the power distros from the 2000's, i like it

how regularly are the repos updated? are they directly tied to gentoo mirrors?

Binhost updates daily

how many keyloggers / spyware did you install outside the emerge package system?

Just everything that's in gitgud.io/cloveros/cloveros/blob/master/livecd_build.sh

You could run it yourself or build the binhost yourself

sounds good.
i might contriboot myself by doing some maintenance and scripting and whatnot.

>Sup Forums makes their own linux distro that has nothing to differentiate it from any other one and development focuses mainly on the logo and anime wallpapers
wow, this totally never happened before

Thanks, but

>-funroll-loops

Meme OS, no thanks.

This runs slow on a i386 platform.

I don't have permissions to press the shutdown button or access any folders by default. What the fuck.

I'm going back to Arch.

They essentially dropped sound support by making PulseAudio a dependency.

They haven't done that yet. Gentoo is ready though because it can build against apulse (small pulseaudio compatibility layer)

Maybe on stable they haven't, but I know I did lose sound way back (on Gentoo) without a warning. And since they decided to kill off most of the extensions as well I switched to Qutebrowser and am not going back.

Took cloverOS on top of Pikes Peak.

Nice

Kernel package uses dracut initramfs now. It's bigger, but allows you to boot from anything, including: btrfs, zfs, cifs, iscsi

As with any distro, changing kernel/initramfs is easy

...

Tap to click is default now, in .bash_profile

You can install CloverOS onto btrfs now that the initramfs supports it

...

...

new packages: games-action/extreme-tuxracer games-action/supertuxkart

Press the right mouse button slowtard.

>When someone makes a blind assumption about a Sup Forums project with nothing to add onto it because they're technologically illiterate and it's easier to talk shit than to give constructive criticism

Boy, never seen one of you in these threads before.

>Hoveround.avi

Haven't been around in a couple of threads. How's the progress for pre installed emulators?

>How's the progress for pre installed emulators?

I was thinking about making a KDE livecd with the emulators.

bump

I wouldn't ride in a hover round since it probably runs on nonfree software

Stop playing with dolls and eating donuts.

You can't stop me from enjoying myself at 14 thousand feet.

>tfw I still haven't fully grown outta Maplestory yet
Literally the one thing keeping Windows on my main computer.

do you even performance, kiddo?
>there are people on Sup Forums right now who are unironically using clovos

Neat post, though don't put the donut on your ThinkPad it could make it dirty!

b-but CloverOS is Gentoo... does this mean on the outside people think you have a big dick but you know deep inside that it is below average?

Is it possible to contribute to the gitgud and if so how can i request a push?

It's okay, I wiped it off. Those donuts are not covered in sugar as much as normal ones.

Pressing the right button brings up the menu. That was never an issue. It still doesn't change the default user permissions.

Your shit has the same problem crunchbang had.

...

...

After I wake my thinkpad up after using that suspend & lock command on twm, any program I execute doesn't properly execute and the program freezes. Does this have to do with the latest kernel? It wasn't doing this before I upgraded.

Weird, just tried it and it works here.

But is the ThinkPad clean? You don't want to eat a dirty donut!

Can somebody post the config.gz?

I wipe it with sanitizer and a paper towel every so often

liquorix.net/sources/4.12/config.amd64

Thanks bunches, user.

...

does this work on an X220 tablet? I just got mine and I am considering installing it over windows 7.

Yes

why use this shit, looks trash
i like Debian

my windows boots in the same time

is arandr in the repo?

>it's back
Sweet. Does it play my eroge yet?

>systemd
Fuck off.

I can't even make it run on my VM.
What the fuck is this.

You need a ThinkPad for it.

That's what I thought.
Going to install this on my ePC. :^)

Unmount the iso

What the fudge, how scrub am I.
Seems to work atm? It's stuck there though for the past minute.

Weird, Virtualbox is stuck on the initramfs. It worked on mine though, I guess I'll load it again.

wtf lmao

So I can just burn the ISO and it will install from that properly?

Yes

I can't believe I can't install that shit.
It's like the first time I was installing Arch and had no idea what I was doing but got it working.

Imma build a new VM and see if that's because I gave it too low stats.

So is the install script from the website included on the ISO?

The ISO has an installer, it installs in 2 minutes.

The ISO is the result of running the install script, except the script is modified to output an ISO.

gitgud.io/cloveros/cloveros/blob/master/livecd_build.sh

Thanks m8, I need a lightweight OS for my shittier systems but am too retard to install Gentoo/SMGL myself, this is perfect.

You actually need 1GB of RAM for the squashfs to extract

I feel like a dumbass.
I didn't used Gentoo in VM.

Gave it like 6GB and 4 core lol

It werks.

It is now

emerge wine

Sweet

How much RAM does it take up with nothing other than screenfetch open immediately after installation?

You on the VM too?
I find it laggy there.

Going to try on my bashing laptop to see if it has anything to do with the VM.

I meant on real PCs

. . . I'm currently installing it on my laptop.
I don't get the love yet, everything is so slow in my VM thought it was the issue.

You're making me regret my decision.

How am I making you regret anything? I was just asking if anyone had post-installation screenfetches.

Well with the words you used, I've put 6gb of ram and the machine lag as fuck compared to my base debian with 2gb.

Still installing on this 2gb laptop, that's why I said I'm regretting it.

Looking at the OP image with 46MiB RAM usage, I'm pretty sure it's your VM that's fucked.

memes aside
I typically use xubuntu, haveused arch before though, is this piece of shit suitable for daily use?
I would need to be able to run windows in a vm

It's literally just Gentoo.

Looks like it because my laptop runs it well.

What the fuck.
All my VMs are off I don't get it, there's no hog resources hahahaha I don't know where I fucked up seriously to have it sooo laggy.

Man, I can play D2 on a VM running W7 with not lag whatsoever there's something that I did that I just can't simply recall.

Also when I say laggy it's like it takes forever to open up the term or even open up Firefox, that kind of lag. The windows just slides with oddly when I drag them. I don't know.

Post a screenfetch of your laptop?

thanks for the no bs response
will try this out

I'd love to but there's no internet? I'm currently using a Dell XPS m1530 for the experiment and like always I need to find a adequate shit to make it work. What I find strange is that the Ethernet port isn't working right of the bat.

Could probably get the driver on a USB stick, it's just Gentoo after all.

Got it working right now, just did that. Now time to install screenfetch and post that shit

People complain about there being no difference between this and Gentoo, but it's great for us retards who need to learn the hard way but can't into actual Gentoo.

Gentoo isn't even hard to install.

If you can't read the fucking instructions, you can't fucking do anything.

CloverOS is literally a meme, it's also a shit OS with stupid flags.

I shouldn't be surprised, this is Sup Forums after all, with a good chunk of the userbase being terminally stupid.

How can it be shit when it's basically just Gentoo?

It's Gentoo made shit.

...

My Gentoo install boots faster than that including UEFI load times

i686 version would be nice.

this is accurate

Nice.

46-100MB depending on kernel modules. You can go lower if you build xorg-server with USE=minimal, but you lose opengl support for no reason but RAM golf

what module do I need to get the screen rotation button to work on my X220 tablet?

...

I think you need to use xbindkeys

kd8bny.blogspot.com/2013/12/become-key-binding-pro-using-xbindkeys.html

xrandr -o left
xrandr -o right
xrandr -o normal
xrandr -o inverted

DEs also do it I assume
