yes I'm OP and yes I'm shilling for cscale=haasnsoft now

>high quality rendering
Then why it looks like blurry shit?

what version of MPV should I be running on Arch. There's a bunch of diffrent packages on the AUR. Also, Bakemonogatri is the sheeeit.

mpv-git

alright that's the one I'm using. Is there some reason why I should have shit in redraw even though I don't have interpolation set? or is it a glitch with stats.lua?

yes

What is the best version for OSX and Linux?
Very blurry

What are those?

sound and fullscreen on/off

When was this added?

every other cscale besides ewa_lanczossoft and haasnsoft has a shit ton of ringing and looks like garbage

Looks like a HorribleSubs encode

Microsoft employees are anime fags too!
Is it the end of the world?

very long time ago, are you using your package manager's build of mpv? you should be using 3rd-party nightly builds or compiling it yourself

I use arch but I don't update.

IIRC the non-AUR version of mpv on Arch is still pretty up-to-date

I have the autoload.lua script.
How do you set the custom keybind so it change to the next or previous file in the playlist?

Proof?

some time ago i was using
gist.github.com/ubone/562d43d59f6dd cc8d63c22 8e3ce717e8
worked fine but now i see
Error parsing option external-file-append (option not found)
Setting commandline option --external-file=i.ytimg.com/vi/myPP6iSG02I/maxresdefault.jpg failed.

what do

>Error: Our system thinks your post is spam. Please reformat and try again.
grr

yes, as every other pkg (in non testing) it is the current upstream stable version

Just found that bottombar is the now default layout of mpv, which version they changed from the old-shit look?

Nice link
You don't make sense
n playlist-next; write-watch-later-config #Next file
b playlist-prev; write-watch-later-config #Previous File

>write-watch-later-config
Why you'd need that?

update mpv

mpv.io/manual/master/#command-interface-write-watch-later-config

see

Had you ever checked .config/mpv/lua-settings/osc.conf besides mpv.conf? mpv defaulted to picture related where now defaults to OP pic. Both styles were/are still available though.

Yes, Box was default back in the day, now it's bottombar unless you are using sourceforge builds (sinchiro) which he makes the Box default.
>Had you ever checked .config/mpv/lua-settings/osc.conf
Why would I?

I know what it do, I don't know why you'd need it.

Mistakenly hitting next or forward.

Upload it here

Oh so when I press next by mistake, pressing previous will take me back to where I was.

Bottom bar is superior

anime was a mistake

Anyone using the converter scripts?
When I try to use it to convert video files that's hosted online it fails.
With the exception of youtube video.
Any idea how to fix those?
Or make it so it uses the already cached data?

24 i think

OSDs were a mistake.

defeats the point, retard

Is there a way to make playlist show and not look so terrible? I use

Y show_text "${osd-ass-cc/0}{\\fs8}${osd-ass-cc/1}${playlist}"

>defeats the point
How?
>retard
Relax buddy.

site is open source and meant for easy comparison, I'm not uploading all the images one at a time here

But you uploaded them there? Normal people can just alt tab between pictures instead of hovering over and back like retards on some site that requires javascript to work.

I'm on very bad internet connection and sometimes the connection drops.
how'd I open a new mpv window with the same URL?
Ctrl+p run mpv "${path}"

Yes
You don't hover over pictures on diff.pics and if you want to alt+tab just open them in a new tab, you dingus.
ctrl+p run mpv ${path}; quit_watch_later

No one is going to click on your retarded botnet links. Put pics in the thread or fuck off.

Thanks.
These little shourtcuts should be collected.
Ctrl+d show-text "Downloading..."run youtube-dl "${path}" -o ~/Videos/%(title)s.%(ext)s
I find it very useful.

github.com/Fugiman/diff.pics
>inb4 pajeet babby literally can't read JavaScript

No problem, what does that do?
Not mines

It downloads whatever you're watching, useful if you use open with mpv a lot.
You can add other variables if you like.
I have this as well for downloading the audio only and embeding the thumbnail.
Ctrl+A show-text "Downloading..."run youtube-dl -xf "bestaudio[abr>128]/bestaudio" --embed-thumbnail "${path}" -o ~/ASMR/%(title)s.%(ext)s

>bestaudio[abr>128]/bestaudio
Where did you find these anyway?

Sorry?

Sorry for what?
gist.github.com/ubone This guy has a gist about it after looking on google

>It downloads whatever you're watching
I wanted something like that for a while. Thanks!

>interpolation
Ruining all your videos I see.

Enjoy you judder.

>bestaudio[abr>128]/bestaudio
this is for youtube. it's rare but it happens that it selects an inferior audio with bestaudio, not a ytdl thing but a youtube thing

I use mpv with icc-profile=auto and noticed that the difference in colors between playing twitch streams in browser and in mpv is HUGE. However playing youtube videos in browser does not differ as much vs mpv. What can it be?

I don't mind it.

3:2 pulldown isn't way video was meant to be watched

cscale=ewaewa_lanczos

haasn is blurry.

>haasn is blurry.
No. haasn is cute!

thats a bad pic related Tbh Senpai

blurry compared to ewa_lanzos

He didnt say pic related tho.

i ment the thumbnail makes it hard to see it's an mpv bread

what's the best config settings for anime?

look at cscale=ewa_lanczos looks the same except it has more ringing

> no cscale=ewa_hanning

wtf i dont want to get a virus!

It is the way it was animated though.

Then don't open it with internet explorer 6.0.

but it wants me to enable javascript anyway!

Slight blur during panning scenes but smooth motion is closer to the original than zero blur but heavy stutters.

How else would it switch images by mouse over/click?

>How else would it switch images by mouse over/click?
But i dont want that functionality! I can just ctrl+tab.

>It downloads whatever you're watching
Doesn't work for me. I press the button and nothing happens. I have youtube-dl in the same folder as mpv.exe.

I'm waiting vulkan to be merged to master

>I'm waiting vulkan to be merged to master
Isn't it too early? It's not any better than other vo currently.

The original is fucking animated in 2s if not 3s.
Don't kid yourself.

they are not the same. have yout eyes checked.

I think you should make it like this then
Ctrl+A show-text "Downloading..."run youtube-dl.exe -xf "bestaudio[abr>128]/bestaudio" --embed-thumbnail "${path}" -o ~/ASMR/%(title)s.%(ext)s
Also I'm using "A" not "a" so you'd need to press Ctrl+Shift+a, It works for me on Linux.
The issue is probably the difference between the systems, also the file destination shouldn't be ~/ASMR for obvious reasons.

Telemetry in mpv windows builds to help developers when?
krita.org/en/item/google-summer-of-code-help-alexey-kapustin-by-testing-his-work/

It's in madvr since day one!

I would opt-in desu senpai

>I prefer the mpc-hc/madvr combo. Should I kill myself?
For me RAVU is not doing a better job than NGU-AA for animes and SSimSuperRes is really bad compared to NGU-Sharp. Interpolation makes my playback choppy as fuck with red stats.

Without having to open a new window
ctrl+p write-watch-later-config; loadfile "${path}"

So it would restart the file at the same point?

Who are you quoting? Also feel free to use whatever you like :)

Tried that too. Nope :( Wait a second, where im supposed to put that text?

Inside input.config.
It's a keybind that issues a command.
Try this
ctrl+a show_text "Testing?"

It works but everything afterwards doesnt.
>[e][input] The show-text option must be an integer: run
>[ 9.217][e][input] Command show-text: argument 2 can't be parsed: option could not be parsed.

Try this now
Ctrl+A show-text "Downloading..." run youtube-dl.exe -xf "${path}"

What -xf supposed to do? I cant find anything about it on youtube-dl's readme :o

-x to extract audio only -f to use specific audio quality.

>-xf
>nothing

Well it won't get merged into master until all of the remaining issues are ironed out. Rough summary:

- scaler LUTs loading needs to be reworked
- descriptor pool code needs to be rewritten
- uniform loading needs to be refactored, we also probably need to at least support using UBOs instead of PCs
^- in going with the former, we also need to clean up / trim down some of our uniform sizes, especially the shitty mat2 texture_rot
^- to accomplish this, the rotation handling needs to be refactored (should be delayed to the scaler always)
- we need to lose the VK_NV_glsl_shader dependency. glslang is too shit to be used directly so I plan on trying out libshaderc

those are HARD requirements before vulkan has any chance of being merged, because the current code is either broken or extremely limited. There are also still rendering bugs, but I suspect those have to do with the uniform code (partially because apparently VK_NV_glsl_shader is broken and violates the spec)

Need it an ; next to "download..."
Ctrl+D show-text "Downloading..."; run youtube-dl "${path}"-x -f "bestaudio[abr>128]/bestaudio" --embed-thumbnail "${path}" -o ~/Music/%(title)s.%(ext)s

>[e][ffmpeg] tls: Failed to send close message
Pls help...

Im using shinchiro's build btw.
