Barely used AKG K7XX for $125 from my friend. Yes or no?

Idol trash here.
What's your setup like, user?

No; spend $20 more on a vastly superior, brand new HD579.

Am in Canada, so that's a no go.

HD600!

Reminder that HD 598SE are for 79.99£ on amazon uk.
Also thoughts on those Earphones?

Oh, then yes, go for it by all means. That's a fantastic deal for a Milkbagistanian.

I'd try to go for HD579 over those if you can; they are essentially an HD598 with better bass extension.

interesting general you've got here

What is the second best headphone behind the HD600?

they are literally 100 £ more atm

A non-amped HD600.

HD580

Wow, they're only $149 Americlap dollaridoos. Then sure, HD598SE are still great headphones for that price, go for it.

Pic + timestamp

It's the usual falseflagger. They definitely don't own the cans.

Just picked up a pair of Shure SE215CLEs for $1.05 at goodwill. Seeing as they typically retail for $99, did I do good?

Opinions on:
K712 Pro vs. HE4XX vs. HD579

k712 > HD579 > hifiman garbage

HD579 by far. K712 = melanin-enriched and HE4XX = terrible build and customer service.

>$1
Yeah, you did. At cup noodle price, it's definitely a good deal.

K712 Pro > HE-4XX > HD 579

If you manage to pass, HiFiMan's QC, that is

HD579 and it's not even close.

>HD 579
>Literally a sidegrade to the HD 598
>Better

It's a clear upgrade to HD598; measurements suggest it's a HD598 with vastly superior bass extension.

Not a sidegrade... it's better overall. Just not WAY better.

>An HD 598 with better bass extension
So, a sidegrade? If I owned the HD 598 right now, would I consider the HD 579?

You'd look at HD600, not another 5xx.

K712 are literally tinny and veiled bass cannons.

K712, HD579, then HE4XX

Have fun with those Assdrop wait times, if you do choose to go hifiman

>K712
>Bass cannons
Retard

...

see

Whats with all the HD600 memeing on hpg recently?

The K712 sounds the best imo, but have never tried the HE4XX. Don't listen to trolls such as and , but if you can, I would listen and compare if possible

>recently

We're just pretending until plebspotters and his IRC crew die from terminal butthurt.

>Recently

hd579 obviously

Hmmm...

I haven't been on here for a few months, but it seems a lot worse than before

The comfiest headphone!

>Continues his paranoid schizophrenic rants about irc organized trolling of a shit-tier thread on Sup Forums

Let's be real here, I'm your god whether you like it or not

B A L A N C E D A N D N E U T R A L

Are pic related as good as innferfidelity says they are?
"Yummy and warm sounding, the 3-way balanced armature driver SE535 has great bass extension and brilliantly integrated bass and mids, with a slightly polite, but very articulate and clear treble. The ergonomics and comfort of these IEMs is excellent, and they come with a nice selection of tips."

retard

Reference Audio Analyzer's target curve is unpublished and all kinds of fucked up in the treble. You can't take away any assumptions about a headphone's treble response from RAA graphs.

B U I L D Q U A L I T Y

I always cringe whenever Tyll describes headphones as 'yummy' or 'tasty'

Literally laffin'

>ALL CAPS
>NOSPACES
At least the headphones are awesome.
Only -10dB down at 10Hz... insane good bass extension.

>its another tripfag shitposting episode

>Headphones can't be yummy or tasty
Retard

We knew you were the snapheiser troll all along.

THD measurements are not a reliable indicator of audibility:
gedlee.azurewebsites.net/Papers/Distortion_AES_I.pdf
gedlee.azurewebsites.net/Papers/Distortion_AES_II.pdf
> In our next paper we will show that .01% THD of one type of nonlinear system can be perceived as unacceptable while 10% THD in another example is perceived as inaudible. Even one of these simple examples is sufficient to invalidate THD as a viable metric for discussion of the perception of distortion. Furthermore, 1% THD is not at all the same as 1% IM, but we will show that neither correlates with subjective perception.
>These results supported the skepticism that THD and IMD metrics were poor predictor of subjective perception of sound quality ratings.
Furthermore:
asa.scitation.org/doi/full/10.1121/1.4984044
>Research has suggested that non-linear properties of headphone responses have little effect
Furthermore:
pdfs.semanticscholar.org/e38e/b5526af06589596390cd585e6aa38c19344c.pdf
From this presentation given at the AES 129th convention:
>Conventional distortion measurements such as THD do not show reliable correlation to the ear’s perception

Tripfag arrives, floods the general with garbage. He's not even removing the trip to post as an user anymore.
Just report, report and report.

Hello autistic can poster

What is the best headphone for a audiophile user such as myself to engage in an immersive fashion.

Reporting is the responsible thing to do here, friendly user.

>Inb4 less/more THD is neither good or bad

>Only -10dB down at 10Hz... insane good bass extension
Kek. That doesn't really mean anything the frequency response isn't even remotely flat anywhere.

>WAAHHH REPORT THE TRIPFAG THAT DOESNT AGREE WITH MY OPINION OF A HEADPHONE I DONT OWN WAHHHH

Hmm...

ANSWER ME YOU AUTISTIC RAGING HOMO

I don't even understand the fucking question pls reword it.

Poorly sealed and thus invalid measurement.

Look into HD579.

HD579

K712 probably

...

Can your $300 chink shit do this?

Check mate, Snapheiser fags

Sup Forums says sennheiser is shit though

Status audio cb-1
Ath-m40x
Phillips shp9500s
Ath-ad900x

If you can splurge the extra 20 shekels and are okay with massdrop waiting times, the hifiman he-4xx is pretty kick-ass as far as value is concerned. Much better than the hd600s in almost every respect.

>Ath-ad900x
Would actually be an option, except it's AKG, so it won't be comfortable nor durable.
Definitely the HD579. There's simply nothing better at that budget.

I have been here for many years and as long as I have been here there has always been a single virulently anti-Sennheiser samefagging troll who floods literally every /hpg/ with Sennheiser hate. Sennheiser is universally loved everywhere else on the internet; this should tell you something about the Sennheiser trolling here: it's mostly one person and always has been.

Nigga, those are Audio-Technicas

Looking for closed, mobile, bluetooth headphones to use when walking around campus. I'm so tired of having to deal with cables therefore I could justify the loss in quality from BT.

Decided on and bought some k845bt's. What's Sup Forums's opinion on these?

Are you a cutie?

>recommending closed headphones to someone open to the idea of open headphones
I shiggy diggy. Open are much better for those who do not require isolation.
>SHP9500s
No bass.
>ATH-AD900x
No bass and shitty fit for everyone but the very large headed.
Terrible recommendations senpai.

>A fucking popularity contest
Kekkity kek!

The fuck was I thinking?
Yeah, ath-ad900x is an option.

>Can't tell the difference between audio Technica and akg
>Claims akg isn't durable
>Snapheiser headphones literally snap down the middle of the headband

Top fucking kek

Those look like Bluetooth K550s. If that's the case, those have well-documented sealing issues, so you may find them to be very bass-light.

>Very large head
>Le enormous head maymay
Retard. The only problem is, they don't fit asian-tier heads. Stop this meme. They sound very similar to HD 598s, bass-wise

They are a lot more bass-light than HD598.

>WAAHHH SOMEONE DOESNT LIKE SENNHEISER.

the only other place where Sennheiser is considered god tier is plebbit. Head-fi, SBAF and gear slutz have moved off the Sennheiser hype train for a while now. The reason plebbit still loves sennheiser is because plebbit emulates the older enthusiast forums and websites, so of course they love the meme600s.

My takstar pro 80's consistently impress me even though I have other more expensive headphones.
Do you think I should give the takstar pro 82's a shot? They're gorgeous
