I just took apart an old 6gb drive for the platters and magnets.
What do you do with the old platters? I have a bunch stored away.
Maybe make a swaggy mirror out of them? Imagine looking at yourself in your old porn and vidya holders.
Is there any good way to use the magnets tho? I have tons of them
make a custom fidget spinner
Make shurikens.
Use to pick up loose screws and shit
yes. I use them for notes on my refrigerator.

Oh my sides
I take them out of every new hhd I buy. It's pretty neat they give them away for free like that.
I just made coasters.
Mainly did it just because I've never opened a drive before and wanted to, and the platters are neat.
Just glue cork to the bottom and makes a decent coaster.
Made a free energy engine with it
Yes, they're a lot of fun.
Tesla turbine, novelty throwing discs, coasters, etc.
