How to pm users on Sup Forums?

Pmed u the fix

nvm it works now

Mind explaining what those do exactly?

why?

no, I just copypasted it into file week ago and reposted without knowing anything about it. There are few in common with list on privacytools io where they have an explanation. The cache things are usually to clear after exit and avoid saving to disk.

Asking for a friend

Fair enough. I understand the cache options, was more wondering about some of the others, like loop.enabled, toolkit.telemetry.archive.enabled, network.captive-portal-service.enabled etc

>loop.enabled, toolkit.telemetry.archive.enabled, network.captive-portal-service.enabled
looking at it
loop.enable does not exist in my firefox
toolkit.telemetry.archive.enabled
>Even if you have Telemetry in Options unchecked and telemetry about config entries set to false Fx may still be creating a new Telemetry Pings folder (and stuffing it full) with each new session.
network.captive-portal-service.enabled
>support.moonpoint.com/network/web/browser/firefox/detect_portal/
>firefox downloads some file from their server everytime you open it to check if connection is protected by captive portal

Just google them individually. Tor Browser's about:config might also be a good reference.

>Just google them individually
Yeah fair enough. Thanks anyway.

>thread about privacy
>"Just google it"

haha. I don't think you care much about privacy at all.

Why disable webgl

would you rather prefer saying "just use the alternative search engine to google that respects your freedom"?

no I don't indeed, it's worthless fight

Few weeks ago I toggled all these options, then my address bar quit working. Try to undo something in FF without the ability to go to about:config. It's fun.

from shell $ firefox "about:config" and you are there
