get Brave

What's the biggest downside of using Firefox 56? I assume security issues.

HTTPS Everywhere is ready to go (you just have to get it from the EFF website). Self Destructing Cookies is replaced by Cookie Autodelete. Ublock Origin is ready to go, too. Don't know about the other things on your list, as I don't use them.

uBlock will be updated

HTTPS Everywhere will be updated

Replace Self-Destructing Cookies with CookieAutodelete

Replace Flagfox with "Country Flags and IP Whois" (or something similar, there are other webextensions that do the same thing)

Searching on the Mozilla site I find tons of Soundcloud webextensions, like this one:
addons.mozilla.org/de/firefox/addon/scdl-soundcloud-downloader/?src=ss

Don't know about Mega. But using a dedicated download manager like JDownloader would probably be better anyways.

the official MEGA addon is quite good, especially if you use their (((cloud))) service, not just download. They will update it sooner or later.

Also since 55.0 you don't need HTTPS Everywhere anymore.

>mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/55.0/releasenotes/

Wrong, you still need it. As the release notes clearly states, it only applies when entering a domain into the URL bar.

:|

FYI HTTPS everywhere was ported to firefox57+ couple of days ago, and UBO is already ported, it'll update when FF57 reaches the stable brunch

not using firefox-esr

Only two of my addons are not ported yet. Can Sup Forums spot the two?

ublock origin is already out as webext, but firefox still just installs the legacy one. am I doing something wrong?

>french

so how's it going Mohammed?

...

>using Video DownloadHelper
Just stop.

>ExHentai Easy
Exhentai Passport. Came out just a few days ago.

>Easy Screenshot
Again, there are hundreds of screenshot applications out there. You're not even trying.

>"everything I don''t like is Sup Forums'

>Come to thread
>Post stupid shit from pol
>Get told to go back to pol that's got NOTHING to do with the thread
>"did u just assume my containment board?"

bububu maaah fascizumm

Why can't all the devs just get together and stop offering their extensions on FF? You know, as a big fuck you to whatever's left of Mozilla

...

>let's stop making addons for the mother of all FLOSS browsers and help google gain the monopoly
>bitch about google when they abuse it

BTFO combo

I just rolled firefox back for now. I'm not gonna browse without uBlock Origin.

addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/adblocker-ultimate/

I'll try it out for a few days. Thanks user.

No problem. It's free and opensource too FYI

go back

Use palemoon

Isn't decentraleyes and privacy badger doing the same thing?
Is there a reason to use both?
I use disconnect, is those better?

>Isn't decentraleyes and privacy badger doing the same thing?
No. UBO nullifies the reason of privacy badger though
>I use disconnect, is those better?
Disconnect is not necessary

help google gain the monopoly, you say?
>Firefox becomes "Chromeified"
>turns away its core userbase in the process
>normies using Chrome don't bother switching over (especially since FF no longer has anything to differentiate itself from Chrome)
>loss in marketshare, loss in third party extension support, loss in overall trust from users and developers alike
Mozilla already sealed its own fate
I look forward to seeing them crash and burn. They deserve it

>Firefox becomes "Chromeified"
It's called technological advancement. I'd love to have multiprocess more than some obscure addons maintained by some rusty old neckbeards afraid of change

Furthermore your post does not refute the point I was making

aaand masked

>soundcloud downloader
do you really NEED those 128kbps mp3s user?

What's a vimperator alternative for sjwfox?

>another one of these threads
christ you retards keep crawling out of the woodwork

Use Firefox in english you dumbfuck

"non"

>have a good thing going
>decide to deprecate it for (seemingly) no reason
Why do organizations do this?

Screeshot functionality is now integrated in Firefox.

Use tampermonkey and youtube-dl.

Literally security and performance.

Top kek

With webext the scripts call functions in the browser rather than loading a binary that can do anything.
This should give Firefox the ability to make it more secure so they can limit what you share and how.
It is a good idea, the only annoying thing is it has been pushed rather suddenly and not all developers have time to rewrite their addon.

Only lesbians use esr

this but if you need addons then find something else for the time being but if you can do without it do it

Firefox [OBSOLETE]

mpv youtubedl binding is one that's for sure

Yeah, no.

>reddit
jesus when will you retards stop coming to Sup Forums

>muh secret club
I think you need to grow up user

Why do we have this thread all day every day?

>firefox is kill look at my legacy extensions
>INSTALL BRAVE
>actually all those extensions are already updated or have replacements
>PALEMOON
>UBLOCK STOPPED WORKING
>install the webextension version you idiot
>NETSCAPE
>GNU/ICECAT
>BUT CLASSIC THEME RESTORER
>userChrome.css
>WATERFOX
>SOROS
>NETRUNNER

Because people like you keep bumping them instead of letting them die.

> reddit

...

Just use Opera which is much faster than Fireshit.

You know there's a webextension version of uBlock readily available right?

>doing this much work to keep up with your failing browser

Just download Brave.

>suggesting an extensionless browser that replaces ads with ads as a replacement for firefox

>opera
>chrome reskin
>used mostly by niggers

no, thanks.

I use jdownloader2 to download from yt since it let me select what format, resolution and framerate I want

>Save image in folder is going to be dead.
Does anyone have an alternative?

bravo

don't insult lesbians, you can't associate esr with such a miracle of the universe

why do you need to watch videos in mpv instead of using the embedded player in the browser?

only 2d lesbian is ok.
3dpd

everything that is 3d is bad, don't just lesbians

Then suck kike's cock.

hopefully this will incentivize people to make new compatible alternatives instead of causing a stagnant mess of unsupported addons for months

>Reddit Enhancement Suite
Good meme user, I'm installing it right now

>an extension for exhentai
NEWFAGS GET THE FUCK OUT
GOD FUCKING DAMN

The entire point is that you can directly go to the site instead of needing to go to g-e and then to ex. If you open up ex on accident then you need to go through the hassle of clearing or editing your cookies.

What the fuck are you talking about you retard? You only need to login to g-e once. Just make sure to allow cookies for both sites so you stay logged in.

Some of us have something like CCleaner just wipe everything every time we log off.

Then make an exception. If you use the extension you're a newfag and don't belong here.

i embraced the botnet. I am now using google chrome

>open a link someone posted in private browsing because they probably have shit taste and you don't want it in your history
>haha whoops you're not logged in

>open link in private browsing
>it just werks
You must be retarded.

If you open a link in private browsing and you're logged in you're either doing something horribly wrong because it's leaking your cookies or you already logged in while in private mode before and didn't end the private session since.

firefox is dogshit now

i only use it out of sheer despiration on my phone because there is nothing else that has plugins

Fine, I'll admit that I've never opened anything in private browsing because there's literally no reason to. Just clear your fucking history.

IceCat

>Just clear your fucking history
I didn't clear my history in five years and I took measures to prevent Firefox from automatically expiring it. Why would I do it now?

Firefox 57 will land in November, by then those extensions will (most likely) have been updated.

also
>firecucks has no extensions XD
>use
shills pls

t. autism

firefox users are cucks Soros shills

and gay lovers

use Brave

why is that every single day this same cuck thread comes again?

stop with this bullshit and go back to your chrome botnet

this is annoying

Because a browser is designed to render webpages, not video. mpv simply does what it is designed to do.

>he has to use a search engine or manually navigate websites to find previously visited pages
>his browser doesn't provide helpful suggestions in the url bar

>he likes botnet

>locally saved history and locally calculated suggestions
>botnet

this doesn't really answers the question you know

Why the fuck is this a problem? Clearly if you wipe your cookies every time you close the browser then you're already used to re-logging-in for everything. Saying you don't want to log in to e- is like saying you want to check your gmail account without logging into google

>plugin elitisim

Tell me why:
- I shouldn't use video downloadhelper
- I shouldn't use EasyPanda
- I shouldn't use Reddit Enhancement Suite

All three are all purely convenient. What is the downside?

>no extension
>open ex
>sad panda
>you now have to take an extra step and delete cookies again before opening e- to log in and then opening ex

>extension
>open ex
>sad panda
>extensions provides a login form on the same page, log in, done

Hm, nvm, I guess I didn't realize that's all the extension did. For some reason I thought it bypassed the login entirely, I guess because I'm retarded

>can't prevent your cookies for e-hentai from being deleted
>need an extension because of your crippling retardation

gb2 réddit

>- I shouldn't use video downloadhelper
This, it's a great extension that lets me download high quality porn videos from a plethora of websites that would otherwise require a subscription.
