I'm the OP who has been OP for the past few months up until my break and this wannabe failed demerge. I was up for demerging, only if both communities could stand on their own two feet, the last few 'demerged' threads have shown the obvious fact that it isn't possible. Vault 7 showed OpenBSD was the only OS without any Gov't exploits. Unless you're ultra-paranoid and think they're playing on another level. If so, I don't think an OS will matter at that point. OpenBSD is just harder for solo-attackers to break through. For government sponsors, it's better to practice good OPSEC in general than rely on an OS, as you said.
