Trying to conserve as much money as possible being that I'm in a transition of jobs. Using lynx to try and browse Sup Forums here and there but it's shit tier when it comes to posting/replying. Is there anything I can do or am I just a fag?
Oliver Morgan
Just use uMatrix to block all images. Also block javascript globally.

Thanks user.

Reminder literally no one uses elinks for normal web browsing outside of taking "rice" screenshots to try and look like a hacker.
Jayden Brown
Seems so. Don't understand how anyone could ever justify using it.
Anyone got a clue on how to enable reCAPTCHA though? Only thing I can't seem to get working...

That's where you're wrong kiddo.
Anthony Carter
Come back when you can force the page into a distiller / "reader" mode and then render it in the text browser so it's actually readable.
Liam Turner
it would look much better with css support. pages look like that when images and css are unsupported.

>browsing an imageboard without images So why aren't you on Reddit, then?
Camden Gonzalez
You know, I wanna understand your reasoning, but it's just kinda shit. I sit in Sup Forums 90% of the time. Half the images posted are pointless and unneeded. I'm not looking to join in on your "scrot thread" or your "phone screenshot" threads, I could give a fuck less. Instead while I'm sitting pretty good compared to the folks around me I'd rather read something and maybe reply if I have something worth saying. So what purpose would images serve me? Do you only look at picture books?
Nolan Gonzalez
Reddit is full of retards who think they're smart
Christian Ortiz
>I could give a fuck less Yeah you definitely need to stay on reddit
Blake Nelson
This image sums you up perfectly.

Not OP but would also like to know of any text based alternatives (besides lynx for browsing) Sup Forums...

well everything is api based so i guess you could build your own cli client with legacy captcha support

If browsing a web-based imageboard with text browser is perfection, what is this: gopher://khzae.net/1/phourchan/g/62174322?48
Browsing a web-based imageboard with a text browser over a pre-web protocol?

Im making an ncurses Sup Forums browser, should I make it just text only and have minimal support for images, would be easier desu.

Just make it by default text based and then provide the option to be able to browse with images
