Currently using Thunar but I prefer Nemo.

Dolphin because it has a terminal in it.

nautilus

Rarely ranger, and in exceptional cases when I need to see thumbnails of images - spacefm-ng.

PCmanFM for business Thunar for pleasure.

ranger. i love the bulk rename and the ability to organise my files with the push of two keys. as soon as you get used to it its 10 times as fast as any other file manager.

but ranger has image previews.

>because it has a terminal in it
>not running it inside a terminal
plebian

Can ranger be made to use quicklook?

I doubt it can use quicklook, but it can preview pretty much all file types without any addons or extensions, it just utilizes the programs you already have on your system to view that media.

>GNOME/Files
Can't even create new files.

/thread

You can use Quick Look in the terminal, I don't see why you couldn't have a different file manager trigger it

Whatever the arch wiki told me to use for my desktop environment.
I'm too lazy to try them all.

Yeah, using qlmanage -p

thunar

>you will never be as cool as Terry

Free Commander on Windows, Ranger and Thunar on Linux.

Total Commander

Ranger with MC tabs instead of Miller.
