Which one?
Rust or C++
FORTRAN
Rust or Bust
Rust needs more time to be a serious contender. I know it already is the next in line but it's still juvenile, while C++ is the dominant language for now.
When C++ ages, Rust will automatically come up as a valid alternative. It already has a good public perception among new devs

I like the interpreted side of rust and the compiled nature of c++.
Build libraries with c++ and the frontend on ruct.

Can someone fucking answer me?
Both.
Rust has some good features but iit's not mature enough. Also the syntax is kind of ugly and offputting.
Rust will be C++ successor, I have no doubts, but now it's too soon.
I love the concept of memory safety built around enforced RAII, but there are still BIG things that are missing from the language.
Just to say one: no fucking green threads.
One point in favour for C++: in the last few years it's really getting better, with C++11/14/17 it's slowly turning into a "sensate" language.
Still, would not use for production jobs.
