Name one company that does this

Name one company that does this

It's called a warranty. Virtually every company does this.

>Company overcharges so much they can replace some no problem
That's real fuckery right there.

there are a lot of companies that provide warranties OP

> warranty
> iPad 4
Maybe not.

how about instead of wasting a device and replacing it for another water-ruinable device you make one that RESISTS water?

>Device is broken in flood
>Warranty
Do you understand what warranty even is?

>Resists spills
>vs fully submerged for several days

>Plebbit
Get out normie!

>normie
hello normalfag
welcome to Sup Forums

>hey guys hurricane and flooding, let me swim through chest deep shit filled water
>with stuff in a backpack
>also I'm too stupid to drop stuff in ziplock bags

Should have drowned.

>not building a raft out of zip lock bags and duct tape

>not putting yourself in a zip lock bag and gerbil-balling your way along.

of course Apple will replace damaged devices, they're currently spying on the entire US except for southern Texas. That's a major blind spot in their mass surveillance/data mining program.

>not knowing how to swim for long distances and periods of time

>get the fuck out, there's a hurricane
>NOPE, AIN'T GETTING OUT OF ME CHAIR
>gets stuck in chest high mudwater
>BAWW HOW COULD THIS HAPPEN TO ME?

Yes, my next mobile phone will be a fucking ThinkPad laptop. Don't shoehorn that shit in a discussion it doesn't belong in.

I'm a big iFag but I see apple is only doing this for publicity, of course. Although their returns and repairs policy in the U.K. is fucking excellent, I'm aware that in the US they scam rather hard and charge steeply for repairs. The UK's and EU's laws over here keep them in check far more than the US does.

>I submerged both devices under water
>I am totally not scamming

>>vs fully submerged for several days
>implying you wouldn't be deader than your phone

>leave phone at home during flood
>evacuate
>come back, everything destroyed
>Apple says they'll actually replace my shit, something which would normally be an insurance claim.

>>>leave phone at home during flood
>implying people leave home without their phone
Give me a fucking break.

>Get out normie!
says the fuckboy who
>cannot solve a system of differential equations
>does not know a functional programming language
>cannot read sheet music
>types at a rate slower than 100 words per minute
>drives a car with an automatic transmission
>listens to mp3s
>has less than 12 TB on his home server
>does not play a musical instrument
>can't run a mile in under 6 minutes
peasants like you make me sick

Name one company that does this

>live in literally hell on earth
>God continually sends disaster after disaster to force you to move
>continue to live in literally hell on earth
>cry about it on a bolivian ice skating forum

Samsung.

But Samsung actually recalled their phones instead of ignoring the problem and letting 66 people get killed.

After several months and blaming 3 battery OEMs (one of which was themselves!)

>unironically defending apple blaming users, killing 66 people, and not still issuing a recall

>66 Mudslimes
Did the world a favor.

>iToddler has no argument to defend his explosive chinkshit trash
>goes for the edgy response

first: how do you want to know any of that about him?
second: how does driving stick (normal in europe), being able to run a mile under 6 minutes (not that impressive) and a basic musical education (which a ton of people have since most middle-class parents sent their kids to a music school or teacher) qualify anybody use the technology section of an armenian cat-petting forum?

>armenian cat-petting forum?
the meme doesn't work like that

>warranty
>iPad 4
>iPhone 5

Not even AppleCare will support products that old retard.

Holy fuck I just broke my iPad Pro and called and said I was helping in Harvey and they're replacing it. I don't really feel bad about it because I did donate some bottled water and it cracked on a tiny ass 3 inch drop in a bag so fuck them.

the free advertisement they will gain is incomparable to the value of the worthless gookshit they hand out

protip: it's called business

>free of charge
>warranty
>apple
>thinking_pepe.png

I don't like apple but I have to admit that they made a nice move with my parents: my mother had an old 2011 MacBook Pro and the trackpad broke. Counter my suggestion she sent it to Apple for a charged repair. The post service lost the MacBook on the way back. Apple still charged the ca. 150 $ for the repair but sent her a top spec 2017 MacBook Pro instead for "free".

apple

they want to keep people in the apple ecosystem, make sure they never find out about the alternatives

where did you find this

If you have insurance, they'll do this for basically everything you own.

You're probably a goddamn NEET who doesn't own a home anyway, so renter's insurance is even fucking cheaper than home owner's insurance.

These parts will be used for refurbishing

Warranties almost never cover water damage.

Samsung blamed the battery OEMs but that didn't stop them from recalling and replacing the devices.

Because the battery isn't user replaceable they can't use that to absolve themselves of the situation and they never did. It was simply a case of attributing the fault.

>sent her a top spec 2017 MacBook Pro instead
Sounds more like a punishment.

> >implying people leave home without their phone
What about tablets?

yes it does

HAHAHA... ask any chink company about that.

>order a power supply off aliexpress
>arrives soaked and corroding
>issue a complaint
>full refund within a few days

iPad 4 and iPhone 5, begins 2012, 5 years ago.

Apple gets big trouble in europe just because say offer 1 year warranty.

Bullshit Post

we're talking AFTER YOU'VE USED IT FOR YEARS, shill. and we're talking EXPENSIVE PHONES not some $5 chinkshit.

ps: and it should be troubling to you that it came to you like that.

Meanwhile, water damage is not covered in your brand new iphone 7.

Why would a warranty last longer than the warranty period?

And it wasn't that troubling to me. It was probably shipped on a literal ship and I wouldn't be surprised if many items were likewise damaged. There was a note on the package from customs saying it was like that when it arrived and they tried to dry it out.

Some old HTC stopped a bullet from killing a guy and HTC gave him a new M7/M8 back when it was new

like giving a child who just beat cancer cancer

Solving differential equations is one of your go-to "impressive things"?
Literally shit you learn in your first or second semester at university.

>list of random things I can do
And it isn't really impressive. Like, whoa, I benchpess more than you do, that makes your opinion completely invalid, you dirty pleb.

Apple's official website

Dell, if you buy their special support. Which is much better Apple's, since you don't have to drive to a store.

>not duct taping over the flood saving everyone while also giving you a path to escape the flood

>what is insurance
Warranty isn't for this kind of thing.

Wow apple never did that for me with my water damaged iphone 4s

They just told me it wasn't under warranty and told me to fuck off

>PAY for a warranty to get a reduced rate to pay

>Apple uses water damage from Harvey as an excuse to create brand loyalty to their subpar products
Is Tim Cook (((their))) guy?

You're a freshman aren't you? This is like basic stuff for any average person. lmao so you're competent in some hobbies

>u/ironicbutthole
>apple
The meme is real.
