Is that Led Zepp or Honeywell?

>Premium
>ABS
pick only one!

>premium
>not GMK
pick only one!

should i buy the james donkey keyboard for $40

It's filename.

what makes it premium? the ridiculously high price that's based on marketing?
it will shine up and be ruined in 6 months like every other ABS set.

>he doesn't buy cheap shit mx switches or dell at101ws (alps) for his customs
I have one with gateron black
I think it's pretty good if you have an alen for getting rid of the ugly yellow feet, also turn off the backlight

>6 months
is your office outdoors?
also it's premium because they are thick as all hell, if they did it in pbt I would cum

>is your office outdoors?
heh? why does that matter?
>also it's premium because they are thick as all hell, if they did it in pbt I would cum
who gives a shit about thickness when the top 10-20 microns is all that matters?

Just modify your order and include the UK compatibility kit which contains the short shift you need.

$100

i dont know if this is yellow or orange, but this one ebay.com.au/itm/6x-Acrylic-Keyboard-Tester-Kit-Clear-Keycaps-Sampler-for-Cherry-MX-Switches-/132217427603?epid=2105047115&hash=item1ec8c5d693:g:bU0AAOSwKz9ZoRKf

range too wide. hard to know what you want. seen Tada68?

what do you mean to wide? I want anything that is in the range of 60% - 80% any size in that frame is good. And yeah the tada is in the range so thats a good size, but i dont know about the switches cause they are all gateron

pretty sure that's razer orange which is a cherry brown clone

then why does it feel so much better

Amiga compatible keycaps are coming...

I need a quiet keyboard for work and the cheapest option seems to be the Plum 87 for 110$.
What's your opinion on it? Would it be an upgrade from a Logitech rubberdome?

There's filco with silent reds on the returned category of mechanicalkeyboards.com. $120 with free shipping in the United States.

mechanicalkeyboards.com/shop/index.php?l=product_detail&p=2476

Thanks but after shipping to Europe + taxes it would be over 200$.

I really like mine with +10g springs, too bad they only give you enough for half the keys, but extras aren't too expensive on amazon.

They feel pretty much linear without the +10g springs, but with them in they have a nice soft tactile bump.

>I need a quiet keyboard for work and the cheapest option seems to be the Plum 87 for 110$.

>Would it be an upgrade from a Logitech rubberdome?
Technically, anything is an upgrade over rubber domes. If you're European you might want to check out what's available in sites like keyboardco.com, candykeys.com, mykeyboard.eu, and maybe some national online hardware seller: the keyboard itself will cost a little more, but you'll pay less in shipping and won't have to bother with customs, custom fees and VAT.

I suggest to check out the Matias Quiet Pro if you need something with silent tactile switches.

Just got this to replace my dead pok3r. Gateron blues, nice so far. Looking for a nice set though to replace the stock caps. Also gonna grab a metal case when I can be arsed.

I'm pretty sure I remember something about a portable program you can put on a USB stick and it will let you use your favourite layout wherever you plug it in, without having to change settings or anything

Nice pexon cable you goy fuck

Where can I find ISO layout keyboards? I'm looking to buy a cheap mech keyboard for my brother for his birthday soon and I'd like to get something with an ISO layout, because we live in Europe.

The only cheap keyboards I can find on amazon, chinkshit, are all ANSI layout. Am I SOL or is there some hidden site that indexes ISO layout keyboards?

Just take your keeb with you????

Candykeys & keyboardco

do o-rings make a switch quieter or do they only dampen feel?

For what purpose.jpg

Amiga had shit keyboard for its time

t-thank you?

>cheap
Define "cheap". If you want something decent prices start from 100€ upwards.

For where to buy, this:

I was thinking about one of those chinkboards with knockoff switches that go for like 50 bucks or so.
My brother is a kid, he's never used a mech keyboard except when I've let him try mine. I don't think he would really tell the difference between good switches and chink ones.

What do you mean by knockoff switches?

Cherry MX clones.

Gateron is better than Cherry

I was thinking Kailh and whatever the other ones are.

just bought a hhkb someone call me a reddit cuck

Someone tell me why my old rubber dome is more tactile than my gateron blue switches

years of dorito crumbs

It is very clean and I never touch my keyboard when eating food, I'm not a degenerate.

Objectively wrong

Unless worse build quality, worse QC, and more wobble make them better

Because Gateron blues are shit and old rubber is hard lol

>chinkboards with knockoff switches that go for like 50 bucks
You won't find those in Europe except, maybe, ebay or Amazon: you either find shitty boards with awful gaymer design with cherry mx switches for €50~100 on amazon, or higher quality boards with cherry mx switches from €100 upwards on specific sites. Non-cherry switched in Europe can be found in only specific keyboards, but the price won't be significantly lower than the rest. In any case check the keyboard company.

Damn, that's what I thought would be the case.
I think I'll just buy one of those Redragon gamer keyboards in ANSI layout and call it a day. My brother would just use it to play games on it so it's not like the different layout would fuck him up too hard.

That would imply that you programmed your keyboard to act as Colemak or Workman or whatever. That's certainly possible, but first of all it requires a programmable keyboard, and second it basically makes it so you can't change layouts again. Not to mention that it would be pretty tedious.

Then there's the fact that you can't carry your keyboard with you 100% of the time. If you find yourself suddenly needing to type something, you could be forced to peck at qwerty. Meanwhile, a usb can be added to your keychain and be always available.

Wtf happened to clear switches? They've doubled in price, if you can even find them in stock.

Ok I'm done with mechanical keyboards, every time I try a switch it sucks and then you guys say "oh that switch is shit you should have bought a different one." It seems like every switch sucks which is why you guys have like 10 different keyboards because you can't find a switch that feels good, so you keep buying more and more but you just can't find it.

Just buy a Topre keyboard :^)

pkl.sourceforge.net/

I might buy one from amazon to try it since I know I can return it, also rubber domes have felt better than any switch I've tried besides buckling springs.

>spending all this money when $2 rubber dome keyboards feel best

AMIIIGAAAAAAAH!
How patrician. First, there were capacitors replacement services. Now keycaps. New hardware when? How many decades will they survive, I wonder?

Switches are personal preference. For any given switch, you'll find someone that hates it with a passion and someone that loves it to death.
That said for some objective metrics, some switches are better than other. What are you looking for? Tactility? If so, zealios or mod-m are your best bets for cherry-type switches, but you're really better off with matias or buckling springs.

Also keep in mind that good keyboards are expensive, but a lot of cheaper keyboards are "good enough". You'll see people recommending $100 boards because for most people, who are used to keyboards worth $5, that's already very expensive and they might not want to spend more. But that's like buying $50 headphones and then complaining about non-audiophile sound quality. Thankfully, unlike headphones where you can easily spend $1000 or more, for a proper, good keyboard you're probably looking at maybe $300-$500.

The same thing that happened to browns a few years back. They are the new "best of both worlds" meme shilled everywhere.

#goflat with a short travel compact mechanical cutie.

>this pasta again
Just admit, you keep coming in here because you like the (you)s.

Tell the watch thread about F-91W and how quartz is very accurate and LCD display is more practical.
>spending more than $15 on an accurate, easy to read watch.
As for the keyboards, K120 is unbeatable.

Just a question, for how long are you using the new keyboards?
Are you trying the new switches for a day or two and giving up?

The first time I used a mech keyboard after using rubberdomes all my life I hated it, lots of unwanted keypresses, the tactility was off, everything felt wrong. But after a few days of using the new keyboard I fell in love with it and now I can't go back. I wouldn't say it's so much of an acquired taste as it is something that needs a bit of adjustment.

I just got a Model M2 with buckling springs for 3€, but the Pause key spring is bent and isn't clicky anymore, any way to fix this ?

Thanks I will look around. Matias QC would be the perfect switch for me if not for the price. The cheapest board I can get with it is like 180$.

You can find clears for a reasonable price on taobao.

Throw it in the trash and get a new one

>this pasta again
What?

I use them for about a week and still don't like them. I don't really like rubber domes as much as buckling springs but I do like them a lot more than the switches I've tried. I may try linear switches or topre next.

I tried a board with Cherry Reds and a normal board yesterday. After using Romer switches for half a year now the click of the normal board made me cringe.

I don't think I can ever go back to non-linear switches

Clicky switches are shit

is this the elder scrolls oblivion SA

i want my ass to be fucked by topre cock

Makes me wonder how I did all these years with a normal board. I know the Romer switches are a meme around here but they just feel so nicer to the touch. So did the Reds I tried. Fuck normal boards

>Just cancelled my Ducky One TKL RGB order and bought a MasterKeys Pro S with Ducky doubleshot PBT keycaps.

Did I fuck up?

...

Unless it's $40 for 100 it's not worth the b's you have to go through to deal with Taobao.
That sucks. I finally have the motivation to convert to clears and they're way over priced. Should have kept my last converted board if for no reason but to canabalize it.

RGB is a meme but both boards look pretty slick and doubleshot pbt are objectively better than both stock caps so you probably didnt fuck up

Hi Sup Forums I need a new keyboard.

>Budget
100-150. More if I'm in love with the keyboard.

>Location (continent at least)
Spain

>Preferred switch type
MX Blue, MX Browns (From what I
tested previously)

>Layout
Spanish layout, this is what makes it difficult to find a good keyboard.

>Form factor
Full, but I don't mind trying a TKL.

>Backlight
Yes, I don't care about RGB, but it's a plus.

>Previous/current keyboards
I had a Razer Blackwidow 2014 but I didn't like it.

Does the Anne Pro really have doubleshot PBT keycaps?

Try to bend it to it's original position with some pliers.

anything topre

Try short-travel compact switches.

will mechanical keyboards make me gay

depends on the switch

your already gay

This Also on the keycaps

Should I get a pingmaster or Ducky One TKL with MX Blacks?

Is it worth the time creating the mix of gateron blues + aristotles instead of using plain gateron blues ?

maybe
if you use topre you are a certified faggot

>t. cherry shill

So I'm celebrating have recived my Anne Pro Keyboard deleting my Massdrop account.
Outside of their firmware and bluetooth stack, this keyboard is really nice.

massdrop has the tada 68 with zealios allready assembled for 105 shipped, seems like a really good deal

>lag drop
I guess if you don't mind waiting a year for it then go ahead

Are short-travel compact switches the new meme? I can't see any advantage over regular ones.

They've been around for decades, but most of them suck. Chiclet keyboards are so much better

Is it worth buying a zealio tester? I'm thinking of buying one to see if I want the tada68 with zealios from massdrop

They are being redesigned by kahil and other manufacturers.
They don't have any advantage, except that some laptops will came now with a mostly decent keyboard.

ships in early december, not bad

i like dick in my ass, is topre for me?

Well, when you have tiered garbage that is Cherry & clones which, however, got everything else for them, Alps resurrected but without DIY, keyboards or options and Topre - pressing which is like touting vuvuzelas of homosexuality - you might as well try something new and go with short-travel mechanics.

Cherry ML are hated on for years, Romer G are unreliable (breaks, chatters) - but Kailh switches seem to get some praise.

No if it's a feminine dick.

No. If you like hiring for inexplicably large amounts of money the four most famous and well paid negro porn actors to shove their humongous penises together inside your sorely prolapsed boipucci, then yes.

Is the miami keyset gay?

They make bottoming-out quieter. Doesn't do shit for Blue clicks.
