It's really sad because it shows that the media industry can do whatever they please with absolutely no repercussions.

They're suing a website into oblivion because it "can" be used to "pirate" music that is on public display.
They are doing the equivalent of suing tape-recorder manufacturers because their product CAN be used to record and save music played on the radio, a notion that would be laughed out of court years ago, but no longer.

But in the end, it doesn't matter, because they accomplished nothing but make more similar services pop up.
I just feel sorry for the dude behind youtube-to-mp3 who is now stuck with thousands in legal fees.

The only reason I can think of is the lack of ad revenue, and the fact that they no longer have full control over how you listen to the music, when and what you pay for it. If it's on youtube/spotify or similar they can just arbitrarily decide to block the video/song in your region or country whenever they so please, forcing you to purchase it if you want to listen to it. If you have an audio file stored on your PC or portable device they can't do fuckall, which bothers them because no control over what you do with it.

To all you ignorant fucks who don't appreciate that there's an option to download YouTube videos as MP3s, not everyone on Sup Forums is a disgusting NEET neckbeard who can afford to download entire discographies of all their favorite artists or their albums and stare at the folders and files all day. Sometimes there's just this one good song that happens to be available on YouTube, especially if it's something like a cover of a popular mainstream/indie track. And then there's also the fact that downloading YouTube videos of standup comedies, documentaries, and various other talk type stuff happens to go well with this YouTube-to-mp3 method. I remember when I used to have an iPod Classic. I didn't want to watch many movies on it but damn did I love (when I just got into) George Carlin and a lot of other standup comics, so I downloaded his specials and just listened to them on the go.

Is that enough to shine some light on you basement-dwelling retards?

126kbps AAC is transparent though, but it probably got transcoded from a lossy format and was probably ripped badly
