Alright, here's the deal: it's almost the end of 2017 and I've been using strictly only wireless Bluetooth headphones for the couple last years, simply out of principle and to gather all the needed first-hand experience on this entire "wired VS wireless" debacle. So, after using strictly only wireless headphones on a daily basis for almost two-and-a-half years, I can definitely without any doubt openly state that the "always wired only" and "only highly expensive portable players/no smartphone pleb-tier" pseudo-audiophilic FAGGOTS are completely and absolutely FULL OF SHIT. I won't argue with anyone here that wireless headphones in general and wireless sound technologies in overall were utter garbage just 5-or-so years ago, but nowadays it's NOWHERE even remotely close to being as bad as it was in 2012 and further down the line. Everything (literally EVERY THING) these so-called self-proclaimed pseudo-audiophilic kiddie shithead trolls are openly and absolutely brainlessly proclaiming loudly everywhere about MODERN wireless sound technologies being any "bad" or "not on par with wired" is 100% COMPLETE BULLSHIT. Abso-effing-lute LIE. These retarded deaf kiddies clearly never used any modern wireless headphones that cost more than 50$ (and actually good/worthwhile wireless headphones start from the 120$ mark AT THE VERY LEAST) and/or they never tried Apt-X LL or ESPECIALLY the GODLIKE LDAC. These FAGS basically don't know jack about any of this, but they act like they're the hottest and most knowledgeable shits around the block while in reality they're not hot, but just shit. MODERN wireless sound IS actually VERY good and does NOT lose to wired at all by the sheer quality of sound and latency (if it's apt-X LL or LDAC), WHILE being WAAAY more convenient and comfortable to use due to headphones being completely (WELL, DUH!) wireless. Fuck all those pseudo-audiophilic pseudo-elitistic sudo-entitled "pro-wired" scrubshits, I say. They know fucking NOTHING.

>What ~50$ range wireless headphones would Sup Forums recommend?
Unfortunately, there are almost no actually decent/good models in that price range. The closest one you can get to be of a "somewhat decent sound quality" is Rombica's "MySound BH-10 2C" model, but they have extremely crappy Bluetooth range and they usually tend to bug out and turn off even if slightest electromagnetic interference is nearby (like, for example, when you're in a convenience store and standing near a commercial fridge). Also note that they are literally "Chinkshit Wireless"-tier of headphones. If you never ever had a pair of wireless Bluetooth headphones before and you wish to get ACTUALLY worthwhile device from the first attempt - you'd have to spend AT LEAST 120$ and these will be MEElectronics' "Air-Fi Matrix 3" model and NO OTHER. This is the EXACT very point where actual wireless GOOD quality starts.

>Have they also opened it up for non-Sony headphones or do I need a Sony wireless?
That we don't know yet, as there are simply no massive amount of Android 8-based smartphones on the market so far, but I personally highly doubt that this will be Sony-only when it becomes mainstream, simply due to default LDAC implementation in all Android 8 devices making no logical sense in the case if Sony decides to not license this to other wireless headphone manufacturers. They've already licensed this to Android 8, so why the hell will they restrict it only to their wireless headphones now? That will be an asshole move and will undoubtedly garner a lot of critique on Sony's ass. I don't think that Sony's THAT stupid as to not provide other wireless headphone manufacturers with a LDAC license. And even if (and that's a very big IF) they actually in all seriousness restrict LDAC usage only to their wireless devices, this still at least leaves us an option to not use a Sony smartphone for it if we wouldn't want to, so there's at least that.

>i-it only too me 3 years to come to this conclusion
baka yaro

Poorfag here, is the HD569 a decent pair of headphones for listening on the go?

>Name one worthwhile wireless headphone that isn't shit-tier or overpriced for what it sounds
Plantronics BackBeat Pro 2 SE (monitor, closed, neutral, 200~250$)
MEElectronics AirFi Matrix 3 (monitor, half-open, neutral-to-bright, price-wise this very start of the actual good quality in wireless headphones so this is as low as you should go if you're planning on using LDAC/Apt-X LL, 120~140$)
Marshall Monitor Bluetooth (monitor, closed, V-shape, medium price, 150~180$)
Master & Dynamic MW60 (monitor, closed, V-shape, high price yet not ineptly overpriced, 420~600$)
Bang & Olufsen H9 (monitor, closed, neutral, mid-to-high price, 250~300$)
Sony MDR-1000X (monitor, closed, warm-to-neutral, mid-to-high price, best ANC, 280~350$)
Onkyo W800BT (IEM, closed, neutral, mid price, 150~200$)
JVC HA-S90BN (monitor, closed, V-shape, mid price, 120~150$)

All of these currently available headphones are absolutely worthwhile wireless solutions. The most expensive one in that list is Master & Dynamic MW60 and even it is not really overpriced (usually sells for 600$, but can be found for as cheap as ~420$ at some places during sale-off days).

P.S.
Answering the question that was made in the previous thread: "open" structure is not actually common in the wireless segment, at least when it comes down to monitor headphones, but if anything - you could always try MEElectronics' AirFi Matrix 3, they're partially open. Also please don't ever lump "closed" design and "bad" together all the time, because this is simply not true. All of the closed monitor headphones mentioned above are absolutely top-notch pieces of hardware and sound very good for their respective pricing segments (Master & Dynamic MW60 having the best materials and sounding phenomenally even in artificially created bad conditions, but it's sound curve, which is very clearly V-shaped, is definitely not necessarily for everyone. I personally prefer absolutely neutral sound).

Any changes I need to make? I'll start gathering pro/con info for an infographic style display.

>stacking lossy codecs by reproducing lossy audio files/lossy streaming audio through lossy bluetooth codecs
>having such a tiny lossless collection it can fit on your phone
You are objectively wrong. Wireless are shit.

Looks good user!
You should add a search feature.

I simply didn't use any wireless before that, and during the two-and-half-years period of using only wireless I was trying many different models while recording all the experience. I didn't waste no time simply because now I've accumulated enough personal experience to say that pro-wire cuckolds are absolutely inept idiots.

Wow, your wirecuck ass had so massively buttblasted that I can see the bright flash even from the other side of the planet, lol. Cry summoar, I guess.

Oh, also a Wired / Wireless thing. And OEM / Full Sized.

>no Beyersremorse
You are a patrician of the highest order, user.

Fuck you, I like my Custom Studios.

>spending hundreds on shitty placebos when you could be enjoying the same sound and convenience for $13 + EQ
baka desu senpai

>lossy codecs
Apt-X LL is 0.8 times more of a bitrate than Apt-X HD which has 384 kbps.
LDAC is up to 990 kbps while 24 bit, you moron.

>lossy audio files
FLAC, Redbook, raw WAV. No mp3 on my devices.

>tiny lossless collection it can fit on your phone
256GB ROM + 256GB via microSDXC. Keep ripping your ass apart, I guess.

warosu.org/g/thread/S62256617#p62261228 This is a reminder that this user is a lying shitposter who claims to own an Orpheus and an SR-009 but has not posted a pic+timestamp.

My EQ'd $13 wireless buds sound better than his retarded placebophile memecans, BT or otherwise. Once a retarded placebophile, always a retarded placebophile.

Oh look, it's this uneducated inexperienced shitposting retard again...what joy.

>his lossless collection is only 512 GB
>he can't even record videos or take pictures of his phone because he has 512 GB of music on it instead

>this much buyers remorse

>take pictures of his phone
ON his phone. FTFM.

Kiddie, just because I'm not falling for your "post titties" le memeys, doesn't mean I don't own a thing. But keep telling yourself otherwise, I guess.

Why is the m70x frowned upon? Or is it? Measurements look great

Actually it's roughly ~280GB of music as of right now. Everything else is used for other purposes (like emulation, for example).

honestly, I think these earphones are the closest you can get to sticking actual nipple dicks in your ears. they look like a micro penis on each side

why would you buy this

I don't use nor own Beyer, you're addressing wrong person.

>Master & Dynamic MW60

Can anyone comment on this?

Those are etymotics. Anyways, it's the natural conclusion of what the butthurt bluetoothfag is saying.
>reading comprehension

They're not EQ'd $13 Bluetooth earbuds so therefore they are shit and placebo memes.

I mean it straight up looks like a ballsack with a tiny penis

Best materials and sound quality for the wireless V-shaped headphones on the worldwide market at this current time. The pads are also on magnets, detachable super-easily and insanely comfy (made of actual lamb/sheep leather). Also surprisingly light considering they're on very solid and thick steel frame.

>reading comprehension
Clearly you're unable to.

If you don't like the style, these here also cost the same and you'll get the exact same quality as user's fictional orpheuses if you EQ.

why would I buy bluetooth anything though

Looks V-shaped, thus shit. On a side note, while rtings still uses a shitty retard melanin-enriched target curve, I applaud them for making raw measurements available.

Because like butthurt bluetoothfag said, BT is the future! The past was $3 Walmart earbuds, now we have $13 AliExpress BT earbuds.

>hurrrrrrrrrrr
Yeah yeah, we get that you're a retard. Chill already, wirecuck.

Onkyo W800BT, бpaтюнь. Cмoтpи вышe.

Nah this is Sup Forums pic or GTFO.

>wirecuck
>even though I only recommend quality Bluetooth earbuds which aren't overpriced shit like his
So mad. Do your shitty Onkyos have a HD Subwoofer? I thought not.

>Literally same shit

Where are the Fidelio X2?

Onkyo is Bluetooth 4.1, you imbecile.

>no HD subwoofer
Kek, thought so. Literally can't compete.

Look at these beaut's /hpg/. With a tiny bit of work, they'll sound better than STAX SR-009 and Orpheuses. All for a measly $14! Can't say no to that.

They're currently unavailable in the US except used. The replacement version isn't available yet for whatever reason so I'm excluding it until it is.

...

Wow! A single dollar? Sure, you only get one earpiece but it's just one buck for one of these babies. Two bucks + EQ for a system that trashes orpheuses? God damn that's a good deal, isn't it?

Nah, I'm just trying to help anons save some cash by recommending superior and cheaper alternatives to the placebo filled recommendations of the butthurt bluetoothfag. I'm here to save your wallet from his lies.

That's pretty accurate, actually.

What is the second best headphone behind the HD600?

>Any changes I need to make?
Like, adding wireless and THEN filling it up with at least 20+ models. Also needs search by ANC/no ANC, by case/no case included, by wireless codecs supported (A2DP, Apt-X, Apt-X HD, Apt-X LL, LDAC, etc), by driver type (magnetic/electrostatic, armature and etc), by removable/non-removable pads, and finally by manufacturer/country of production.

Wireless HD600s

first time was the carbon fiber headband which they sent to someone with a similar name on the east coast
this time they sent leather instead of vegan earpads

Jesus Christ audeze, get your shit together. I hope I'll never have to deal with them about my LCD-2s.

what the fuck, they exist

Not gonna lie, those look lit as FUCK. Holy shit would buy. Got a link?

HD650>HD600.

Anyone have experience buying from fleetsound.com?

they're rare, one sold yesterday for $126 though
ebay.com/itm/Pre-owned-Sennheiser-HDI-850-good-condition-/232473313238?hash=item36207d3fd6:g:a2AAAOSw1LRZqds3&nma=true&si=su%2BlIVsRlulTtelWYMA12koaURs%3D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557

i'm tempted to order lcd-2s from them hoping they'll send me lcd-4s instead
but their support is pretty good, they always respond within an hour

They're not "Wireless HD600", they're called HDIS850.

>tfw missed out
Fuck me

...

Wow uh thanks user. My data looks nothing like that. I really want to hear some of the other new audiotechnica headphones. Msr7, r70x, m40x all look nice. Might even buy an msr7 to take to class or something.
Is there really a professional use for the m70x sound? Why do most "studio" headphones measure so far from nuetral?

>mfw the HE400i FR is almost exactly the same as the HD600 except with lumps in the mids and a treble spike
Further confirming that the 400i is simply an HD600 for contrarians.

HE400i is simply an HD600 that's $50 cheaper with better sub bass, worse mids, spikier treble, better soundstage, better comfort and worse QC.

>better sub-bass
Not according to the graph I posted which reflects the latest no-backplate model.
>better comfort
It squishes the top of your ears which not only fucks up your HRTF but is also highly uncomfortable if you're sensitive to that (I'm not).

Corsair Vengence 2100 - used these for about 3 years, they finally broke.

A good microphone that doesn't pick up loud background noise (going to use these mostly in a PC Bang. need to communicate with my gaymer friends clearly).

Ideally noise cancelling.
Wireless is a small plus, but not required.
Volume adjustment buttons/knob/etc are a big plus.

no

rtings measurements show a bit of a driver mismatch with the 400i in the bass region. Probably a function of their QC issues. My 400i's definitely reach lower than my HD600s.

If we take the higher measurement, the difference is 2dB at 30hz, which is really inconsequential. I'd suggest you try playing a sine wave at 1000hz, volume matching, then comparing a 35hz sine wave.

I need some really cheap in-ear headphones since my apple ones died.
what should I buy?
mic + volume control working on apple devices would be preferred

to the user asking what Audio-GD model it is, it is a brand new NFB-11.28

I'm currently looking at
-Sennheiser HD 559
-AKG K702
-Beyder DT990

which ones you would recommend for general use? Or something else in or below this price range?

hd600s

HD579

>hd600
that's like 2x the price, can't do it
still a bit expensive but acceptable. What about HD598? It's like 10 bongbucks more. are they better because higher number?

I'm looking for an amp for when my hd6xx arrives,
is the jds labs el amp good?
What things should i look for?

could someone rec me some bluetooth iem to use around campus. looking to spend around $100 or so. wired options also welcomed.

Daily reminder that all you need for perfect audio experience is $3 IEMs and EqualizerAPO + PeaceGUI.
Anything more is for retarded audiophools who love falling for snake's oil scams.

I haven't posted here in quite some time. I also haven't been keeping up with headphones for the last 4 years, since Iv'e been happy with my AKG K240 mkii's and Sennheiser hd 439's.

Anyways, I come to you with a dilemma. I need a pair of headphones that I can use at work. People walk by my desk all the time and I can hear conversations from down the hall, and its driving me insane. I'm looking for something that is over-ear, closed, leather pads, MAXIMUM sound isolation, and minimal sound leakage. I'm looking to spend at MOST $100.

Would the Audiotechnica ATH-M40X be a good choice, or is there something better in terms of comfort and sound isolation?

No, I can't use IEM's. I have HFA and I highly dislike the feeling of shit in my ear.

>I'm looking to spend at MOST $100
you're asking for too much for how little you want to spend

Just got some HD 569s to replace my M50x, holy shit LMAO they sound slightly better and are MUCH MUCH more comfortable. Amazing how people even buy m50x when they fit so terribly.

could someone rec me some bluetooth iem to use around campus. i would appreciate light weight and a good battery life. looking to spend around $100 or so

Yeah I realize that neither sound isolation or leakage is going to be perfect. For the most part I just want to drown out the things that go on around me. I'm also a faggot that listens to gay shit, so I'd also like to keep my tastes personal.

I just wanted to know if the M40X would be good enough for this. I have other faggot shit I would like to spend my money on.

>M40X would be good enough for this
good enough is subjective. it would do all the things you want but maybe not to the level you expect it to. again, you're still spending $100 which is the poorfag territory and expecting to get sound isolation AND fidelity

Fidelity is second to sanity in this case, I don't usually listen to music at work.

Now that the audeze vegan pads are gone which pads are best to use with the m1060?

hd579
hd579 is better and newer than hd598

what's the best neutral in ear headphone around 80 USD?

I'm taking a look at the Etymotic MC5 right now, but they appear to lack bass and treble.

HD600 > HD579 > HD598se/sr > HD558

Avoid: HD559 (nerfed 558), HD598Cs (bad closed headphone)

HD599 is an improved HD598 with better bass extension and more refined treble.
HD579 is basically near-identical FR to HD599, but way cheaper and slightly (according to reviewers) better.

Sennheiser GAME ONE

I'm not sure if it's because I don't have an amp or it's because I only use my onboard soundcard (Realtek), but they sound pretty poor in-game. I was looking at getting Logitech G633's or SteelSeries Arctis 7. Would either of these be better than my current pair, or do I just need something to improve them?

Only slightly? :X

I actually mean 60 USD here And no HifiMan RE400 because I heard they are very fragile.
