Two of my favorite bands Death Grips and Chvrches are talked about a lot on Sup Forums but all my friends think they are trash. I love the Yakuza and Persona games and am glad many anons on Sup Forums and /vg/ share this interest, but my friends wont even give them a chance. My friends don't care about the anime industry, how anime is made, japanese culture etc., but I can go on Sup Forums and /jp/ to fill these needs. So for me it is.
I use Sup Forums when:
1. I want quick and unfiltered opinions from anonymous users who don't need to consider feelings or worry about what they say damaging their reputation.
2. I want to test an opinion that might be controversial, without worrying about my reputation.
3. I have a showerthought that I don't want to bother other communities with, but still want opinions on.
I always take opinions on Sup Forums with a grain of salt. I would never allow them to make business decisions for me.
I'm actually wondering if voting wouldn't be a useful feature. Here I often see threads with ~20 posts that have identical point. Wouldn't it be more comfortable to see one post with [20x] next to it? Downvotes are kinda pointless in that sense though.
