on a 12 inch screen, that's high DPI

I'm poor okay.

My TV is 1366x768.

Why should I buy a new one when it still works perfectly, has no botnet, and new TV's still have shit colors and no dynamic range?

But it's 1920x1080

Because I'm a fucking retard who did not bother to check the resolution while buying my Thinkpad meme.

The store said TN panels are good for gaming, it has an intel gpu after all.

same, kek

And has been for how long?
Ten years, wow!

> It says here your screen resolution is 1366x768
Why?

Because my x230t still works fine performance wise and the tablet mode is neat.
Also, I'm waiting for good Raven Ridge laptops to appear.

lolno

poorfag

Daily reminder that if you buy a 720p notebook/monitor in 2017 you're mentally incapable of realizing that you're only supporting those who maintain and sell obsolete technology. There ARE cheap 1080p options, you just have to look for it.

How cheap is cheap? I won't pay more than $300 for IPS 1080p laptop. RAM and HDD must be upgradeable.

Well, because it's the native resolution of my display. Now what faggot.

ram isn't upgradable

Then upgrade it you fucks

>upgradeable laptop RAM in 2017
I fucking wish.

Because I'm poor. Bought the thing at a walmart 5 years ago for $100.

Anything above 1080p on a 27 inch screen is a waste of money

Yet here I am getting suicidal over a 24 inch 1080p screen

Because I use a 6 years old notebook, and I still have no reason other than screen resolution to upgrade.

>more battery life
>more GPU performance
>720p video is enough, so yous ave bandwidth on torrents and YouTube
Why would I want a laptop with a higher resolution?

I don't have space to hook up my proper monitor to my laptop

Its actually 2960x1440... on a 5.8 inch screen
>Samsung.memefile

I also have a 17.3 inch full hd dolby certified screen

Just noticed elitebook in the comment.

ProBook 4530s

This thread hurt my feels

4K más tardes

I use it to consume(Sup Forums, tv shows), not to produce.
I have a good desktop, and use that to develop etc, and a home server that handels almost every background task I could outsource to it

1366x768 is perfectly acceptable on small laptop screens.

>not using 640x480 as demanded by god

My monitor attached to the docking station died yesterday.
Now I'm stuck using my X230 IPS with 12,5" on 1377x768 until friday.
The image is clear but the screen is fucking tiny for any serious use. Of course it's fine when you're not on your desk.
Would having 1920x1080 on this tiny screen even help at all?

>It says here your screen resolution is 1366x768, care to explain why?
It just works, m9. Also x220 is decent and enough for my needs. My Desktop computer has 3840x1080, if I need more computing power or a higher resolution

I bought mine 5 years ago.

But my work-laptop is full HD, comes with 8gb ram and was shipped with win7 32-bit version, because HP are geniuses

>new TV's still have shit colors and no dynamic range
???

>comes with 8gb ram and was shipped with win7 32-bit version
what the fuck

It was cheap
And its not THAT bad

Most mid range 5" phones have a 1080p screen
768p sucks, even on 12"

I have i7, but have to keep it at 70% because otherwise it boosts too much and produces too much heat.

I only watch 720p anime and it's fine. Why would I want 1080p?

Does God work for IBM and VESA?

No, it's not okay.

because you haven't supplied me with a better work machine

Sir, your IT department has yet to provide me with a 1920x1080 monitor.

I'm poor. That's literally why I came here to get a job
