Settings -> Networking -> Networking devices -> properties on networking device -> IPv4 settings -> change DNS

If you are using normal operating system, just add option 'use-vc' to your resolvconf config (also don't automatically get DNS, rather set some other, like 8.8.8.8. Ta-da.

ive had stuff "mysteriously" just not work before, mainly shit that was linked on Sup Forums.
