First for U11, best flagship

What program/app can I use to control my android phone from windows?

I know my post was probably relevant in 2009 but I just fucked up my HTC Touch 2 with WinMobile6.5 by clearing some value in registry editor and now the phone won't boot. I don't think I had anything of value in the phone but I'd still like to get it back. Is there any way to get into its internal storage via a computer? Preferrably without using the phone's volume buttons because they don't work.

Just bought Xiaomi Mi 6. Did I fuck up?

No, it's good

Hope the camera is good desu

I just want the fucking pixel xl 2 out already, senpai

Are there any Android video apps that will loop webms and mp4 files? Clover is the only app I've found that does this but its a shitposting app, not strictly for video files

So i went from a Moto G2 that could barely reach 2hrs SOT to a OP5 a few days ago, best fucking upgrade i have done in awhile

I dont know how did i live with that piece of shit Motorola

>no headphone jack
Yeah, it's shit.

you get the type c to 3.5mm, though

Anything new on xiaomi redmi note 5 or any sales on redmi note 4?

MX Player.

You're still not part of the 10+ hours SOT master race.

Good luck charging and listening to music at the same time.

You could probably push that to 11+hour SoT if you have a custom kernel.

Just pre-ordered the Sony XZ1. That's 600 lbs gone m8s

I use my phone tho, I don't stare at a black screen to get more SOT

Do you recommend any kernel for stock OxygenOS?

I really do not care

If I stared at a black screen, it would probably get 20+ hours. :^)

Don't have one. I use a different phone and was able to get 33% more SoT after I have a custom ROM and kernel. I have also seen some crazy battery life for the OP5.

What kind of theme is that?

Just stock OxygenOS 4.5.10 set to Dark and Deep Purple accent color

What is in YOUR personal opinion the best launcher and why?

Also, recommend good icon packs.
I recommend Delta.

Thanks that app is perfect

Nova.

Icon packs are cancer.

sidesync (samsung only), teamviewer, airdroid
However it doesn't seem to work on all phones

purchase advice, please

usa, at&t

durable, audio jack in good place when in pocket, 32 gb+ or sd slot

been looking at cat's s41 and s60. verdict?

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Baseband_processor
>A baseband processor typically uses its own RAM and firmware
>Since the software which runs on baseband processors is usually proprietary, it is impossible to perform an independent code audit. By reverse engineering some of the baseband chips, researchers have found security vulnerabilities that could be used to access and modify data on the phone remotely
fsf.org/blogs/community/replicant-developers-find-and-close-samsung-galaxy-backdoor
>Today's phones come with two separate processors: one is a general-purpose applications processor that runs the main operating system, e.g. Android; the other, known as the modem, baseband, or radio, is in charge of communications with the mobile telephony network. This processor always runs a proprietary operating system, and these systems are known to have backdoors that make it possible to remotely convert the modem into a remote spying device. The spying can involve activating the device's microphone, but it could also use the precise GPS location of the device and access the camera, as well as the user data stored on the phone. Moreover, modems are connected most of the time to the operator's network, making the backdoors nearly always accessible
>we discovered that the proprietary program running on the applications processor in charge of handling the communication protocol with the modem actually implements a backdoor that lets the modem perform remote file I/O operations on the file system

>baseband also has privileged access to hardware such as microphones
>"airplane mode" is a software switch that simply disconnects your OS from the baseband, but the baseband is still connected to cellular network
>powering down a phone does nothing, since the baseband is still know to operate even with ROM hardware shut down
>no removable batteries anymore, so baseband always on and connected to network
>cell towers constantly triangulating your devices location

Is the Meizu M6 Note the best "affordable" chinkphone now?

>Killer camera for the price, f1.9 aperture, 1.4um pixel size, great image quality and passable low light shots
>Snapdragon 625 highly efficient processor
>4000mAh battery with fast charge

The camera is absolutely amazing for the price and the blue looks sexy.

Need a 2017/2016 Smartphone thats just like Nexus 5 in terms of pure software and 5 inch screen. please help

Best I can think of would be the Mi6...

gsmarena.com/xiaomi_mi_6-8507.php

Nokia 6, but it's 5.5'' screen.

Xiaomi Redmi note 4 still better with more ROM and cheaper price.

Pixel

too big and I dont trust chinkphones

Its almost 1000 usd where i live, I mocht het Xperia xa1

?

What phone is very similar to the OP5 without the jelly screen?
no chink phones plz.

Nokia 8

I've held one as our local stores sell them and they aren't that damn big. 5.15" versus 4.95" is not that much unless you're a handlet.

>More rom
there's a 32GB option plus SD card.

Also you're paying for a better camera, fast charge, better Android skin, type c port, as well as the reliability of a brand that didn't instantly discard the 3.5mm port to follow in apples footsteps for their flagships.

But the 1+5 is a chinkphone. And the jelly effect was heavily exaggerated like the lense flare of the pixel.

xiaomi redmi 4x or note 4

Nokia 8

Anything new on Lenovo p3? I want phone with similar size to redmeme 4 but with +5000mAh battery and energy efficient processor.

>No chink phone plz
Leave.

So you can't buy a phone then because everyone phone is chinkphone.

Foxconn isn't even Chinese

Mi Max 2

Sony.

You know that all phones are manufactured in China, stupid shitter.

Mirai Kuriyama!

Also I use a Samsung S5... Any suggestions on a new phone? I use my phone for work, browsing the net, and taking pictures. Not much else.

Made in China

>Jelly screen
It bothered me for the first day i used it and then i got used to it, it's not an issue really, people overexaggereated it

Nokia 6 or 8

No they're not.

Meizu Pro 7 Plus, 1+5, honor v9, Xiaomi mix 2

Prove that every still supported Sony phone was made in China. I'll be here waiting.

Sony doesn't have any factories in Japan. Pic related is a Xperia XZ

The new Nokia phones are riddled with bugs and poor software quality.

Also weak cameras and relatively large bezels if those matter to anyone.

Sony still makes some phones in Taiwan iirc.

Why does it matter?

>The new Nokia phones are riddled with bugs and poor software quality.
They use pure android
>Also weak cameras and relatively large bezels if those matter to anyone.
Cameras are great though even on the cheaper ones.

No, I just got the Pixel XL in May, don't depreciate me just yet.

>Taiwan
>not China

Good joke

Best phone for 170€?

it is possible to "cook" a rom for my chink phone or I'm wasting my time?

Meizu M6 note

Xiaomi Mi A1

Meizu M6 Note, Meizu mx6, zuk Z2, honor 8, vernee apollo lite, redmi note 4(not x)

It's easily the Meizu M6 Note.

>170€ honor 8
Where?

Crap, sorry. That was the honor 8 lite.
Honor 8 is still around 230€.

What kind of android meizu uses?

FlyMe.

GSMarena covered it in their latest Meizu review.
m.gsmarena.com/meizu_pro_7_plus-review-1654p4.php

Moto G5 is the closest that I remember.

Maybe some Moto Z2?

Go back to your containment thread, chinkshit.

Shut up chinkshit

Any feedback on the Honor 9?

FUCK OFF CHINKSHIT

Any recommendations /spg/?
>US
>less than 800$
>at least 16GB of internal storage
>at least 10 hours of battery life (1/3 ~2/3 brightness mobile data on)
>at least 5-6 hours of battery life when wifi is enabled
>720p or better display
>similar dimensions as the iphone 5

Cat pic

iPhone SE

2 random people complimented me on my phone today.

It was weird, but trying to explain to them that the name of the phone was PH-1 and such was even weirder.

>It's the essential phone
>Oh, cool, but who makes it?
>That's the name, essential
>O-oh ok

only good post itt

Thanks user

Is it any good?

I'm interested because it looks like vaccine m GameCube emulation is finally possible.
How do you live with no 3.5mm port?

I have Bluetooth headphones.

The form factor is remarkable. It feels like a very tough and well built device.

The screen is 10/10 for an LCD. The fingerprint reader is very fast.

In terms of software, it's average. It's frozen up on me once. Some apps like Spotify don't work well with this device. The camera software is below average.

I recommend you wait until it goes down in price. They'll improve on the OS over time.

Also, Essential includes a 3.5mm to usbc adaptor in the box.

I'm not a fan of my S8, should I jump to the V30 when it's out?

I heard issues with thermal throttling, is this true?

Apple's manlet phone (the SE) released last year can outperform any Android phone. Does it bother you?

bestbuy prepaid at&t iPhone SE 32gb
$150 w/ free shipping, just pop in a postpaid or prepaid at&t sim and you're good to go.

thanks, but android, i should have specified

good battery life too

Not really because it can't utilise that performance for anything I use that'll take advantage of it.

For example pic related.

Talking about emulators, what platforms are current phones able to emulate? PlayStation? N64? GameCube? PSP? NDS? Anything more modern?

Galaxy A3 2017.

Also, the Essential phone received IP54 certification.

So it's not completely vulnerable to water.

oh sorry
really great value though, good battery life.

what's your budget?

don't be sorry :^)

no budget

I have been able to emulate SNES, PSP, and DS fairly well. PSX emulation is also supposedly competent but I haven't tried it. N64 and PS2 are so behind right now it's probably a waste of time to get it working.

What's the best snes emulator?

I use Snes 9X EX+, but there should be several other emulators that will work fine.

Isn't there an iOS build?

My Zuk Z2 Pro isn't too bad at running windwaker but without any fancy enhancements.

Some psp games also run at 60 fps like FF IV, but most hold a steady 30 and a few refuse to run smoothly like gangs of London.

No.

iOS is horrible for this stuff, you can't even install PPSSPP without jailbreak.

Have you tried to run MHFU? I tried that 4 years ago on my nexus 4 and it can barely hit 20. I assume it has gotten a lot better since.
