I just bought an IPad Pro and a Smart Keyboard. What should I do next with my new device? What are some cool stuff I can do?

literally nothing

Why so jealous?

Lock yourself out of it and make another thread about it on Sup Forums

>bought a overpriced device designed for professionals
>has no task in mind
You're truly Apple's target market.

stale shill/bait thread is stale

return it and get a cheapass used surface pro 3.

Buy an iPad Pro. Get beats.

Posting on my ipad pro with smart keyboard and apple pen

I just fuck around with apps and watch cops/live pd

Set it on fire to burn more money

How is it burning money?

I had a Samsung galaxy tab before. I used it a lot and use a tablet for casual browsing and wanted a new tablet. Why not get the best money can buy when I have the money?

install the iOS 11 GM. pretty nifty shit being added, especially for iPad users.

Because you could have bought the standard iPad and it would have been just as good for casual browsing.

Get a good SSH client, I recommend Prompt.

If you enjoy programming like most of Sup Forums does, rent out a VPS (I use digital ocean) for like 5 bucks a month
If you're a student use notability or goodnotes with the apple pencil
If you like photo editing get Affinity Photo

Can someone explain the general use case for tablets?

Smartphones are best for on-the-go stuff, since they're easily carried in a pocket.

Laptops do everything else with a full OS and actual keyboard.

you bought the wrong accessory for that device dude, you want an apple pencil and not the smart keyboard
the smart keyboard can only do the only thing a keyboard does and the ipad pro is just like a regular ipad
but with the apple pencil you can take notes by hand, draw shit and even edit photo with the pencil if you have the latest 120hz ipad as it has some real upgrades in the photo editing section
if you got the old ipad pro then tough luck, use it like a normal ipad

I did, pretty cool agreed.

The standard iPad doesn't have Smart Keyboard capability. The Smart Keyboard is a pretty cool case/Keyboard combination. Also the Pro is better for multi tabbing and is all around better hardware wise.

I agree it's confusing. To me the use case for a tablet is mainly a 7-8" device weighing less than 340g which can be used for watching movies on a plane or in bed or web browsing or casual gaming.

12" tablets are dumb. Big 2-in-1 units like the Microsoft Surface suck, though I would also say the normal 'Laptop' form factor sucks. iPad Pro can be set up like a 2-in-1 if you like that. There's a logitech keyboard/case thing you can buy for like $150 or something.

I'm 15, and i want one so bad. :(

I would much rather have a Surface Pro, which is a fully capable PC scaled into a tablet form, than an iPad Pro, which is an overgrown tablet.

Things like the surface pro make sense for a student or professional who would benefit from having an "everywhere" machine, so to speak.

Yeah I wasn't really clear about my preference I guess. I don't want iPad Pro nor Surface(Pro). To me the tablet is only good as a 7-8"/

Shitpost, read forums. Watch netflix.
iPad Pro is a waste of money unless you really need the bigger screen.

you can fap in bath more comfortably in my opinion

>buy iPad pro
>Can't develope for it because no other macshit
>Search eBay all day for a decent Galaxy tab
It's very nice and I couldn't live without it for class, but I'll likely sell it upon graduation.

make a hackintosh or something.

watch porn on it
break it
post on /g

all tablets are good for is a slightly enhanced porn experience, other than that i could just use my phone

report this kid

If you want to do casual browsing, you would be better suited with a laptop.

Get a raspberry pi. If you already have it, buy accessories

Start browsing Reddit for nudes. SERIOUSLY. Seeing nudes in full 4:3 aspect ratio is outrageous.

Kys
>designed for professionals
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA yeah no. It's jut another iToy for the normals to consume.
Kys kid

Proof.

It's just as much designed for professionals as Surface 'Pro' is. Or Windows 10 Pro...

i cringe

>cool stuff
its just a big phone, idiot

I just got a Samsung Tab S2 9.7" on clearance for $250, my uses are:

Palabre - News reading around the house
Universal Remote - Controller for my desktop while watching movies on the couch
Moon Reader - School books / DND books
Spotify
Yummly - cook book I can display while cooking
and some light gaming / looking up shit while home.

Pic related is the case I got so I can stand it vertically.

>389g
into the trash

An Ipad Pro 9.7 is 437 grams though. In fact the S2 is one of the lightest, if not the lightest, 9.7" tablets out.

and iPad Pro is too heavy for a tablet too.

Mind posting a lighter 9"+ tablet? Ive got a 6" phone so going with a 7-8" tablet feels reduntant

You can download some neat apps from the AppStore.

Throw it off a cliff

I'm not aware of any. The lightest of the 8" models is currently the largest tablet that would be acceptably light to me.

Why the Pro? Personally, I bought mine to take notes and fuck around. Only went with the pro because it had better pen support than the base model. What encouraged your choice?
