First consider what format you have right now. If your music is already mp3 or any lossy format, keep it as you have it.
If you have cd's or any lossless format, best choice is:
If the player your are using does not support opus, go with 192kbps m4a.

This. Best if it's an upsample from 44.1k/16 CD to 192k/24bit FLAC, music can never sound better than that.
