by still having data caps on all of them
>unlimited
>data cap
I'm getting mixed messages here
if it was just unlimited they would get sued
>$75/85
Yeah, no thanks, Verizon. I'll stick to boost at $40/unlimited
your download speeds get slower the more you download.
I assume beyondunlimited makes it so that you get higher speeds for a longer period of time
you get throttled and lose 4g after a certain number of gigabytes (22 I think)
Unlimited
Truly unlimited
Truly truly unlimited
Promise this is unlimited
Yeah cause that's not a rip either
to unlimited and beyond
Well, I don't reallly fuck with phones, but when I do, it's a $40 plan for boost. How is that a rip?
Fake news. You get full 4G LTE as long as the tower isn't congested
That's a lot of porn.
Damn, dude. You've gotta be on your phone 24/7.
>as long as the tower isn't congested
Oh. How convenient. You mean they don't have to pay for the infrastructure you pay them for and it's just fine?
I had no idea this was that easy.
I'm not American but 40$ seems a lot for unlimited 4G. Here I pay 150sek.
Little above 15$.
and verizon can set it's own rules on what congested is?
>$15
Yeah, in the states that will get you a plan for a tracphone, without unlimited calling/internet.
>as long as the tower isn't congested
there's the pretense they will use to fuck you every time.
dumb goyim. it always works.
ISPs and telecoms are really the best examples of the failures of the American economic system (crony capitalism).
Its an entire market entirely monopolized WITH our tax dollars.
Really? Its 30 a month for an ATT prepaid unlimited call and text service with no data.
>4G LTE
>having anything to do with speed throttling.
So far I've used 1.3TB over 4G. Shit's cash, I wish laptops had cellular modems in them instead of relying on shady public wifi.
there's this thing called a hotspot you know
there's a thing called a modem poorfags.
my thinkpad has WWAN and it's nice
the antennas aren't quite as good as cell phone antennas (somehow) and I get worse reception on it
I don't think there is a carrier out there that allows unlimited data over hotspot. That's one of the catches with unlimited data plans. They don't want you to consume huge amounts of data using a PC.
>boost
i have their service and omg i have to say it's so shit, 4G my ass it can't even load a normal 720p video without it buffering when I'm in a good area that they say it's supported.
why dont you tether fom your phone?
see
It's now allowed.
>Amerikanski kapitalism in the works
not* allowed
if you can download unlimited on mobile then you can also do it on pc
when I had my previous phone (sony z1c) for whatever reason my network didnt even detect hotspot use, I have upgraded since then but even know its very easy to circumvent, I am light user, I use 60gb on average a month so I guess they dont really care
You can't load a 720p vid. It's called at 480. Actually boost still sucks. It's extremel slow. Im.an agent and I get free referral money. It's the only reason I stay.
>Have Sprint.
>Grandfathered in to SERO Unlimited with zero throttling.
>Have it for foreseeable future as long as I don't finance a phone.
>Use 23+GB every month
>Never get text informing me I will be throttled.
>Never throttled
>Get 70/3Mbps in bed
ahaha
>Not allowed.
>Do it anyway
Supreme court says it's legal.
60GB a month isn't a light user. I hardly use over over 1GB a month
Really? It's fast as fuck for me. It could just be my area though.
>1GB a month
do you even lift faggot
lift weights? when someone says lift I say wait
I get faster speeds on T Mobile and 23 is still under their limit before you get throttled. Why would you brag about this? Then again you're such a normie that you don't even use WiFi
You could get a GSM router and duct tape it to your computer.
Another option is to build your own to get the form factor down. It's not that hard.
You could also just get a GSM usb modem.
s.aliexpress.com
Of course that's just 3G.
Another option is to have wifi tethering to your phone that'd act as your GSM modem. But last I checked (5+ years ago?) that was up in the air if it was even legal in the United States of freedom. Boggles the mind how that would even be a question. I don't even see why they'd want to restrict you like that.
???
>Live in city 20+ miles from big city.
>Have shit AT&T internet that's slower than Sprint.
It makes no difference if I am downloading files over my phone or PC
You can and I do torrent over the phone, stream HQ video, etc.etc.etc
Makes no difference at all. Carriers just gripe about circumventing tethering because thats "lost revenue"
>i wish laptops had a proprietary baseband with no killswitch
I, personally, am not really too upset with degradation of service, on congested towers, for really heavy users of cellular data. The laws of physics constrain how much data you can move across a wireless connection, and the only solution would be to deploy tons more towers and reduce their power (basically powerful WiFi at that point), introducing coverage issues.
The real fucking scam is caps and limits on home internet.
Just like how there was a project in the late '40s and early '50s to get a telephone line to every rural house, there should have been a project in the late 90s' to get a fiber pair to every house.
Instead, we got this half-assed regulation/de-regulation of ISPs which allow them to sit as monopolies and give us the shitty situation we have today.
didn't clinton bring internet to libraries with the idea of everyone having it
and obama gave shittons of grant money to develop rural internet, which is still mostly satellite shit and hasn't chnged
The government gave the ISPs grants multiple times.
Remember that whole "information superhighway" thing that was floating around in the 90s? I actually have a book from that time that says something to the effect of "the internet is viewed as a prototype for the future information superhighway". People were waiting for fiber to be rolled out across the country, and the ISPs fleeced the nation, hard.
Since your average person doesn't really have the slightest concept as to how telecom works, they just accepted the gradual DSL/Cable improvements as the normal rate of technology.
Instead, most residences should have had 100 Mbit symmetrical like 15 years ago, where just now many places are getting that down, and like 5 Mbit up, since cable has been shoved into the data transfer role.

>How to go beyond unlimited
>They don't know about set theory and sub groups
We got a bunch of brainlets in here
>conspiracy theory bulshit
Same, I love sprint
Speed caps.
Here's how.
>12usd tier
>10MB cellular data cap
>10(ten) mega-bytes
What speed is 2G to them? The 2G throttle is always different for each carrier, and the fact that they don't tell you is annoying.
>tfw used to have unlimited 3G
>now on 10gb 4G for a similar price
I'd take it back in an instant. If I actually use my data as fast as I possibly can, I run out in under an hour. That's fucking retarded.
>crony capitalism
If it was that in-fact true. Then how come the whole idea of 'unlimited' come to being? One telco did it (T-Mobile) then guess what happened. Yep you got it all of them started offering them, then wait again, all of them start a price war. That would not have happened in fake capitalism. Also
Ask Trump. Reality and logic are for libtards, amirite
Must suck living in a country where the ISP cucks you this hard.
t. 60GB 4G and (actual) unlimited 3G after that for 20€ fag
Don't think goy, just BUY BUY BUY BUY
Buy whatever has the hightest numbers. You deserve the best, hehehe..
Check out the Calyx Institute. $500/yr for unlimited 4G hotspot. Fuck a wired internet connection.
for 20 eurodollars i get unlimited 4G (Done 300+ GB last month) no less than 80/80 mbit (up to 140 when normies sleep)
it's simply better than my home wifi (even if its a gigabit one) so i'm not using anything else than my 4G
telecom comapnies are the biggest jews
Top KEK, this is too true. It's like they treat bandwidth as some finite resource during non peak hours. Data caps don't make sense, throttling during peak hours makes significantly more sense.
UnUnlimited (see, it's got twice the Uns so it must be twice as good)
If I'd pay 20€ purely for data I'd get unlimited 4G without bandwidth (no bandwidth restrictions now either) and data restrictions too, but my 20€ bill also includes the phone and unlimited calls/texts. I just never use it that much that I would need to, I'm a NEET who rarely leaves the house.
>conspiracy theory
There's no theory about it.
Money was paid to the telecos to modernize infrastructure.
Instead, Comcast is rolling out data caps, and only a few homes have actual FTTH.
It fucking sucks to read, but we (the American people) got played, hard.
When I was on T-Mobile's plan, the "2G" speeds were unusable.
I was getting something like 5k up/down, and the latency was measured in tens of seconds.
It was just there so they can say "unlimited", even though they know that the "2G" internet is unusable.
