Give me ONE (1) reason why you're not using windowmanager/GNUstep as your default graphical user interface

Give me ONE (1) reason why you're not using windowmanager/GNUstep as your default graphical user interface.

No.

Because plain i3 is lighter, more efficient and I can get my work done just as well, if not better.

Pape?

Isn't GNUStep abandoned?

I'm using it right now, it's very comfy

it looks pretty old and probably doesn't play very well with standard EWMH/NetWM directives to make it compatible with modern linux userspace applications.

Prove it

Try it and see for yourself

Because i dont want my desktop too look like fucking windows 3.1 in 2015+2

Because I have more than 128mb of ram

Prove that you're actually using it I mean

Last update was in February of this year, and it indeed respects EWHM.

I'm not the user in question, but like, why?
Windowmaker is in most repos and its fairly popular among those with machines too shit for lxde
Ive personally never used it as my main gui, but ive used it before with Ubuntu and its alright, works like any other wm/de

Wallpaper plz ?

because the icon blocks are annoying. i get more usable screen space with openbox.

because lxde is fine for me

You can make them smaller
Why not just use openbox with polybar?
Same memory usage but it'll look way better

I used WindowMaker/LightSTEP/AfterStep for some time

You dont even have an animated root window, gtfo

Then again its not 1997 anymore.

This

It actually looks like NextStep.

Not him, but reverse search is easy.

That's flipped though

so flip it back you moron

Fuck you retard

dumb shitstained nigger cattle

But if I flip the image it'll also cause bit flip, might crash my cpu

jump off a foreskin trampoline idiot

Images are made out of 1's and 0's right?
So if you flip an image you're flipping the 1's and 0's to do that, which passes through the cpu on their way to the monitor, and that can flip the bits on the cpu because of friction.
Why are you trying to ruin my pc user?

>using the rootkit formerly know as X.org

I can give you 3:
>configuring it is a pain in the ass
>detachable menus are annoying
>no way to make GTK and QT programs look native
I love how GNUstep looks and what it's trying to do, but I just feel it's clunky.

Nice to see Sup Forums wake up to the superior COCCA API over that garbage QT and GTK shit.

What is the problem with her body

But I am. I ignore GNUstep as a whole, but I'm using Window Maker as my main window manager for a few months.

It performs well, its pretty stable, support window snap to borders and it has the clip, which is a dock that's exclusive to the current virtual desktop. I am quite fond of the 90's classic style, so it gets extra points on aesthetics too.

I'm pretty happy with it, as I prefer floating windows to tiling. Its tied for me with old KDE 3.5 in terms of my favorite interfaces.

She is a woman.

Because not using Windows Explorer is literally retarded.

Oh fuck off,
You need physical access for that, and if it gets to that point you're fucked either way

I'm already living the luddite life just the way I like it.

Because I don't want to waste pixels of my display with nothing.

Openbox without any decorations here.

You're only living the luddite life if you do your documents with groff.

ok please tell me anything about your setup I've been trying to achieve the same thing as you for months, your setup is just perfect, englighten me.

Why it looks so ugly? And is it really a window manager and not DE?
