Why can't technlogy save us from natural disasters yet?

Why can't technlogy save us from natural disasters yet?

Stupid fucking frog

Because that's how insignificant our technology is.

They want to explore the space but we barely explored the depths of the oceans.

They claim the (((global))) warming is caused by man and yet they can't even predict weather with 1 month in advance.

NOAA gets so many questions of the form "Why can't we just dissipate hurricanes by firing nuclear missiles into them?" that they have a page dedicated to telling people why that a.) would not work, and b.) would be a terrible idea even if it did.

I don't see how the hypotheses of global warming and the ability to predict weather one month out are related. The planet shows trends of warming up on a global scale. Regardless of how it's happening, wouldn't it make sense to work on ways to minimize it? Natural or man made, do you really want Earth to turn into a second Venus?

>Have a problem
>Throw a nuke at it
Makes sense

>implying it isnt haarp that made these hurricanes

it can
people build flood walls and earthquake proof buildings

>Why can't we just dissipate hurricanes by firing nuclear missiles into them?
americans, everyone

WHAT IS WRONG WITH THEM

...

>"WHY DONT WE TAKE THE TORNADO"
>"AND MOVE IT SOMEWHERE ELSE"

>They claim the (((global))) warming is caused by man
are you saying it isn't caused by man?

>Nazi memes
Stupid fucking frogs

We explored the deepest ocean to the bedrock wtf you on about

nuclear would be terrible , but an air-fuel bomb (moab/foab) would do maybe
maybe someone could run some simulations on that

Because all the organizations claiming the global warming is man-made have models showing that in "X years we are going to be fucked if your country don't sign this agreement" even though it's no possible to predict LOCAL weather one year ahead of time, they claim they know how the GLOBAL climate will be in 20 ~ 30 years.

Sure, it's not exactly easy to pinpoint weather trends and I bet some people, like Al Gore, hyped it up a little much. That being said, trends are showing an increase in temperature. It doesn't matter if it's 2 years, 5 years, 10 years, or 50 years, civilization will be in a world of hurt if we can't find ways to sustain ourselves without polluting the ozone. I'm not saying "drop everything, go back to the Stone age" but honestly, finding alternate sources of energy that don't release CO2 is something all countries should strive for, regardless of their stance on global warming being man-made or not

Also, weather and climate are two different things. Climate is long term weather patterns, while weather is the day to day changes. We have many decades of weather that DID happen, and we can base results off of that date.

fuck you frog child

>finding alternate sources of energy that don't release CO2 is something all countries should strive for, regardless of their stance on global warming being man-made or not

that what the free market is for bitch nigga

Things like solar energy and new tech is funded by government research.
See: LASIK, the MRI, power tools, microwaves.
Government funding and research into the field will provide results that everyone can use, instead of it being privately held by some company/companies.

Why don't we get a really long tarp and cover the hurricane?

If it doesn't work the tarp the size of a state will spin around reducing the energy and eventually dissipate the energy.

Meteorologists are not climatologists.

MOAB isn't fuel-air. Using a fuel-air explosive would be fruitless as the fuel for it would be scattered immediately.

Get raped twice and kill yourself, you retarded fucking faggot sack of nigger shit with down syndrome.

This is not the question you should ask, do THEY have proof it's caused by man?

This is what some scientists ask for, evidence. They aren't just "deniers" like some people like to call them.

In case you don't no one denies the climate change, the only problem is that UN and their scientists claim the climate change is caused by man without solid proof to link one thing to another.

It's known that the earth have long periods of high and low temperatures (even before we had industries), the only problem is that the "satellite era" is very recent. We don't even have 100 years worth of data to make claims like this.

This is basically what they claim:

>"Satellite data shows that the temperature increased since we started gathering data with satellites, therefore, it's caused by man lol haha xD"

>"You better not develop your industry in your 3rd world country OR ELSE it will ruin the global climate and the big brother UN will come and fuck you in the ass, so you better sign this agreement prohibiting your country of developing your industry because our scientists said so xDDDDDDDDDDD"

You might think it's conspiracy theory or something but there are very serious scientists that are against the "anthropogenic global warming" claim. Trump for example is one that is aware of this bullshit.

Americans, everyone
