Pandora vs Spotify vs Soundcloud vs iTunes vs Google Play?

Choose your poison.

Tidal

Napster

Youtube Red

basic radio

new pipe

SoundCloud for previews and mixes, play music to store my library. The rest is pointless.

personal ftp server + foobar2000

Ripping flacs from Tidal and listening locally.

Does any of this shit work on GNU plus Linux? Requirement: open-source only please.

Web clients.

why the fuck do you use that shit?
I mean, I buy CDs or download FLACs

>buy CDs
Do you also use Linux? On a Thinkpad?

I'm using linux only for work, and no, I dont have a thinkpad lol

but think, how long are you paying for spotify? with all that money you spend you could already have bought all the albums you listen to

WHY are you posting on Sup Forums if you do not have your personal, written by yourself server available from the web

Play music allows you to store 50k tracks online for free. No monthly payments or anything, and you still can buy additional albums(they don't count towards this limit), and you can even download them without any hacks. It's converted to 320k, which is more than enough to listen on your phone for example.

What if I don't listen to albums but only individual songs? And I have a library of thousands of songs from thousands of different albums? What now, nerd?

MY PAJEET, HOW ARE YOU MY SON.

I use a cracked Pandora .apk that blocks ads and downloads anything I 'thumb up'. Then sync it with my laptop.

>not using a chinese music api
>not having a wrapper for said api

compilations? idk
also I doubt you listen to thousand songs each from different albums

i replied to the wrong post, see this

Athame or RedSea for example. There's plenty of other scripts on github too.

>doesn't use mommys premium Spotify account

Step up, plebs

>web interface
no thanks. now get out of here javascript/node hipster faggot.

Is Foobar still the best option for local music?

Download FLACs on your pc and convert them in ogg vorbis or mp3 320kbps if you want them on your phone.
Don't waste your mobile bandwidth in music.

>xbox music

what protocol do you use to stream music from a browser?

Spotify becase all of my friends are using Spotify as well.

Where do you find FLACs? Most torrents are pretty much without seeds

see

>php

>not c to webassembly

Spotify, I get the $5/month student deal. Need to start building up my library again, will probably do that over winter break or something.

It requires a credit card. I don't wanna pay for this shit.

wqxr.org, pleer.com, youtube.com

The music plays using html5 so it's not exactly streaming, the files are mostly cached already when the music starts playing.

I just buy CDs or download my FLACs.

>not torrenting albums on your phone and using it as a makeshift ipod

Doesn't pay 5 bucks a month like most people who aren't utter degenerates on this board

"other sources" :^)

Pandora web interface with most of the cross-site scripting disabled, free account and literally have never heard or seen an ad. Only hangup is limited skipping.
