>new qbittorrent version doesn't keep unwanted files
It's finally done bros! What bittorrent client do you use?
New qbittorrent version doesn't keep unwanted files
Other urls found in this thread:
github.com
twitter.com
what?
Transmission.
for the last several versions, qbittorrent would still download unwanted files regardless of the setting. it pre-allocated the storage required for all files and downloaded both incomplete and complete versions of the unwanted files.
they fixed that in this version
is that a bad thing?
rTorrent
It's because that's how torrent's work. It's actually more inefficient now because it needs to download shared pieces twice if a user selects more files.
Nothing was fixed, qbittorrent now just hides what is really going on like other clients.

I'm a layman myself, but I can tell that you have no idea how the BitTorrent protocol works and how it's implemented in qBittorrent.
normies always ruin software
3.4 fucking when???
It's a great thing.
I'm not too concerned about efficiency on my bittorrent client. On the surface I don't see how I would benefit from how it worked before.
use it, or look up "qbittorent .unwanted"
I know about the unwated files.
You don't seem to understand how they work and what those files are.
Read this to see how they work explained from the people who have implemented it.
github.com
Then if you still insist on knowing better than them, read the BitTorrent specification, look up a reference implementation and create your own library and then a GUI for it to solve it with your superior way.
>to solve it with your superior way.
They already solved it with this version.
How is beta 3.4? Stable? Does it have this bug fixed too? Can you just update to it from the regular version? I can't stand the default visa-like qbt theme.
I think uTorrent had this in its alpha.

>beta
sorry not using unstable software
You think that regular qBittorrent is stable? It has same amount if not more bug fixes every release as the beta version
Your loss.
I actually installed because I was having problems with the stable release and now everything works perfectly.
>has access to all your data
Does it auto-update to subsequent beta versions?
why do i see these threads all the fuckin time the answer is very simple and should be the same for all of Sup Forums

Nope.
Do you wish me to download this file, user?
dropped
Not really that only happened if you deleted the torrent and then you didn't check what files you want on the prompt on re adding the torrent.
But good at least now people can relax.
This is not a problem in Debian Stable Master Race
