What other option is there for mounting virtual IDE/SCSI drives, or mounting to a physical drive, or mounting to physical as IDE/SCSI? Not one as far as I know.
Plus DT has the best protection emulation out there and covers what Alcohol 120% and BlindWrite do.
It's shit for a number of reasons, but it's functionally unique.
