whats the Sup Forums approved music player for android?
priorities:
* ad-free
* plays all common audio formats (mp3, flac, aac, ogg, wav, etc)
* easy playlist creation / manipulation / tweaking
additionally: EQ and replaygain would of course be nice

Used to work a pirated apk of Rocket Player. Really really liked it. Now I'm using Vanilla Music player which you can grab from F-droid. It's about as good, and answers your requierments.
Try Black Player EX
Shuttle
Poweramp
foobar2k, replaygain is decent but there's no eq (and the external eq apps i tried didn't work)
GoneMAD Music Player.
Has a 14 day free trial. Honestly one of the best purchases I ever made.
Google ruined their music player by trying to push their subscription service.
+1
Mi music
This.
Timber
Samsung Music
AudioVision Player
Simple Music Player
AIMP
VLC
Poweramp.
AIMP.
Just with that I can play Lainchan radio very comfy
/gd/ here
>Phonograph
This, also the only good music player with proper opus support.
Garbage. Also
>nigger player
>poweramp
>gonemad
I can't believe people are retarded enough to buy software when free and better alternatives exist. That's like buying Opera Browser.
>AIMP
fuck yeah, only player I've tried so far that works with UTF8 playlists flawlessly. (making sense since it seems to be from russia)
MPDroid
timber
>get spammed by ads while playing music
>basic funcitonality of phone
>get spammed with ads
lol lagroid
BlackPlayer EX
Phonograph was cool but BlackPlayer is more customizable and has better settings for organization
Vanilla Music. It's also open source.
What I love is how well album based listening is supported.
normies get spammed with ads on desktop pcs as well, because they use internet explorer without adblock.
Phonograph (free, best one I've used so far, easily handles my 5000+ songs)
Shuttle+ is paid, but also great
Samsung Music isn't too bad either, especially their sound enhancing things
the official Sup Forums wiki recommended poweramp and so far it's served my purposes
Phonograph
>it just works
>open source
>no ads
>material design done right
>you can customize the colors of the theme

Any player that uses the android default engine is basically the same. It's up to you really. Blackplayer is very customizable and has a decent UI, but it won't sound any different than Phonograph, Shuffle or your stock player, for the matter.
Poweramp, Gonemad and Neutron use their own engine. The difference in sound quality is negligible, they might use a tiny bit more battery but I haven't really noticed.
In short: get the one you like most. The rest is placebo tier. Personally I switch between blackplayer, Poweramp and Gonemad.
iOS also has this issue though. But neither OS has ads in the default apps or paid apps, so stop being retarded. At least android can block ads without root/jb and has many alternatives without ads. Neither of , or have ads.
stock samsung player is nice
Vanilla Music
Looks really good but no opus support? I guess changing the extension to ogg works but it's mildly annoying.
PlayerPro
It's the player that uses the least battery on my phone
This thing.
>B-but it isn't free.
Ffs I bought it on Play Dtore for two bucks.
>foss not a priority
stopped reading and exited thread
>anything but Neutron
Seriously niggers?
Stock LineageOS music player
Shuttle is good but it doesn't have folder view (unless I'm missing something)
shuttle actually does have a folder browser. just swipe out a sidebar from the left and there it is. im not sure if its in the free version, but if its only in the paid version, id recommend buying it anyways. its good software and ive been using it for years with no problems (except you cant sort playlists by artist name which is annoying)
>It Just Werks, botnet edition
Google Play Music
>It Just Werks, non-botnet edition
Vanilla Music
I like Pulsar
It's like 2 dollars. Who gives a shit?
Vanilla Player
>that pair of repeating digits
Just found it. It's there but requires the paid upgrade. Thx user
vanilla music
Black Player or the EX version
Black Player is free, and paying for the upgrade isnt that bad. they dont shove intrusive ads in your face at all either.
why dont you give us some suggestions then?
vlc all you need
I use the one that comes with Lineage and don't have any complaints.
Pulsar but I use a plenue d
>suggestions
Read . All excellent players and none is paid nor has ads. So they're instantly better.
