Nexus 6p always dies at 15-22% battery

>nexus 6p always dies at 15-22% battery

Are you fucking kidding me, Google?

okay that sounds great cya

6p is chinkshit though luckily mine hasn't had any battery issues.

I'm so fucking happy I sold my 6P or a 6 Plus. At least we can change the battery.

It will. Don't worry.

You probably just completely sperged out to the Fi rep you autist.
If I were in his position I wouldn't give a screeching retard anything for free either. It's not like you were a loyal customer or made them loads of money. Probably because you spent terabytes a month downloading borderline pizza loli porn because >b-b-b-but she said she was 463 years old so thats not illegal.
Filthy fuck.
Buying the S8+ only shows how many even more retarded decisions you make.

>tfw Pixel XL on the way
Also, they were still giving out 6Ps or Pixel XLs two weeks ago to everyone who bought the phone from Google, not sure how you managed to fuck that up.

>be me
>August 2015
>Buy Moto x pure
>be me today
>Battery dies at 25-30% and as high as 45% if I use battery mode
>1.5 hrs SOT on wifi

Only couple hundred for new phone, waiting for v30 or a phone that comes out with the 660 chip. Existence is pain

Apparently I'm the last person on the planet with a functioning 6P. The battery has degraded a little but no more than I'd expect from any Li-Ion phone after a few years. I fucking love my 6P, I guess I'm super lucky.

It's been almost 2 years

Welcome to Sup Forums, newfriend. Next time post to the phoneposter containment thread straight away. Search for "spg" in the catalog

I don't get it, mine has never caused a problem, and lasts 15 hours on a charge. It's a year old now, but I think I'll replace it for the Pixel 2 since it's basically the return of a 6P.

Out of interest, do you know any places that service the 6P battery? I wouldn't mind paying a hundred bucks for a fresh battery (two years of daily use has eaten into it a bit) even though I haven't really had the massive battery crash issue.

Google offering free upgrades out of warranty is worth a thread if the iRecede Hairline X was worth twenty seven.

>iRecede Hairline X
You must be over 18 to post here.

>this triggers the iToddler

Do it yourself. Go online and buy a new battery and change it yourself

I would, but the 6P puts the "NO" in "not user serviceable". Definitely my biggest gripe with it.

I'm not doing a laypersons job.

>Dies at 15-22%
Blatant lie

mine works too. you only see the complaints. people have better things to do than praise a thing that works fine. maybe in 10 years we will see them praised in an "ancient tech" thread

That'll happen to any phone where the battery decides to stop calibrating itself, which seems to be one of the Nexus 6P problems. Incredibly oddly, I actually had that issue and it magically resolved itself.

what is blatant about it you retard? I've had similar issues with past phones

how do i do this. pls help.

THEN THE PROBLEM IS YOU NIGGER

The problem actually occurs because the default charge voltage is too high, damaging the cells over time.

Yes, but a properly functioning phone will detect this and recalibrate what 100% and 0% are, effectively mirroring the decrease in mAh capacity.

They're sending me a 32gb xl, I'm in the US
My original phone was only 32gb anyways, just going to sell it to buy an iPhone 8 anyways

Literally the only perks of getting a Pixel over a 6P are slightly better hardware and camera. Everything else about the 6P is better.

And to me, it's still the sexiest phone ever made.

I actually got my Nexus 6p replaced with another Nexus 6p and that Nexus 6p experience the same issue I called Google yesterday and I am getting a free pixel XL shipped.

Call Google and tell them that your Nexus 6p randomly shuts down tell them you tried resetting it updating it clearing the cache restarting it all that and not a thing works. The person will then tell you that will see what else we can do they will then tell you the Nexus 6p is out of stock and they will offer you a free replacement pixel XL 32GB in Black only. The phone will ship next day it should arrive in two or so days after you get the phone you have to return your Nexus 6p to them so you don't get charged they provide the shipping label. This also works even if you got a replacement Nexus 6p and that one is fucked to OP.

aww google pls gib is 5x folks a 5 inch pixel

Thanks user, I just got them to replace my broken 6p with a pixel XL

Good to know, glad to help.

Had a Nexus 6 for 2 years never had an issue with it. It was a solid phone.

Flash a new ROM and run a battery calibrater
t. 3-4 hours sot Moto X Pure
Not running gapps tho so that might help

If I buy a used 6P can I get this free Pixel XL deal?

First Nexus 6P gave me bootloops.
Second Nexus 6P had shitty batteries and random crashes.

Google sent me a Pixel XL, brand new, free. I can't even be mad.

Does this only work if you bought direct from the Google store?

Yes

Open it up and replace the battery.

A toolkit cost $10

>>find out Google has been replacing 6Ps with Pixel XLs free of charge
Wait what? I never heard of this.
Can I really get my 6P replaced with a Pixel XL?

yes. they are just clearing out their Pixel XL stock before the Pixel 2 hits the shelves, so it may not last forever.
I got a 128gb Pixel XL because they have no 64gb Pixel variant and my 6p was a 64gb, so it was an upgrade all over. but I've heard not every country is getting this, some countries just get replaced with another 6p

Good guy Google doing this when technically out of warranty for these phones and for a problem that is certainly Huawei's fault in their hardware.

OP it sucks for you but you could still get your 6p replaced and then sell the Pixel when you get it.

no, you had to have bought the phone from google, it has to be on your account that you use to get support with

Does the phone have to be faulty in order to get it replaced?
I don't have battery problems, but it does sometimes randomly hard reboot for no reason.

lol. this is literally why they are giving out free Pixels to replace them. the phones will randomly shut down at various percentages and there's nothing you can do about it.

>>yes. they are just clearing out their Pixel XL stock before the Pixel 2

Do I have to send them my old nexus or just ask for it?

something tells me they won't be able to or wont bother doing extensive testing. this issue is intermittent, so if you've seen a random reboot here or there it could get worse. like I doubt they will charge and discharge these phones over and over to confirm the problem rather than just replace the battery or whatever when they get it. they know what the problem is.

you get the pixel and then use that box to send back the 6p. they put a hold on your credit card for the pixels cost until they get the 6p back, so you absolutely have to send it back

Okayed what the fuck? How do I get into this RMA trade in offer?! I installed lineageOS but physically my phone is fine. Can I still do the trade? Where do I go??

Also should state I bought this off Kijiji but the original owner seemed to have bought it from Google.

They are litterally impossible to open.

Flash stock, then call it call it in. Had mine rooted, TOLD them it was rooted, and they're still sending out a Pxl.

And just mention your battery drains really fast. Or something. Guy I talked to DGAF.

Not literally, just a bitch. You need to heatgun the cover on the bottom rear, the screws to open it are under there.

>be me buy oneplus 3t
>s8+ comes out
>decide to upgrade already to s8+

no regrets

Yeah, I've done this before to get another 6p, I heard about this and just told them today that I was having the same issues. Now I'm getting a new pixel XL silver 32 gb. Pretty much the only condition is that you must have bought your phone from Google store and when they give you a link to get your replacement they put an 800 dollar charge on your credit card until they receive the old phone. It's pretty hastle free and easy to do. Their customer service is pretty good. Make sure you tell them multiple times that you already factory reset, already cleared cache and there is no water or drop damage on the phone. If your rep says that he has to call you back after he talks to his supervisor then you should be ok.

My 6P has no issues, so is it worth doing this Pixel XL hack? Is the perf better? I dont want to waste a lot of time doing shit that will only give me comparable perf

Got my 6P with battery problems replaced with a Pixel XL on Tuesday. Enjoying the phone and the free upgrade

You can remove the bloat with adb, just look up "how to remove Samsung galaxy s8 bloat with adb"
The phone is fine to be honest you just need to clean it up
But yeah phones should come clean, the pixel XL is retarded looking anyway

if I bought my phone from best buy can I still try it?

I got a silver 128gb.

Lol it sounds like the didn't tell you on purpose, he was a douche

Wife's 6P did the same thing. They sent her a Pixel XL replacement

Huh ?? Wait I can get a Pixel XL for free? How?

Mine still works perfectly. I don't understand the issues people have ITT

>32 GB

What the fuck. That's how much porn I have on my 6p right now. That's fucking nothing.

Werks on my machine, huh?

I just called Google to replace my 6P (which I bought from Google store Nov 2015), but they said I was out of warranty since last November, so all I can do is call Hauwei.

Any tips to get them to give me what I want?

Did you have a 128gb 6P? If not lucky you.

I mostly have photos and apps, have like 20+gb empty. I stream my music and porn.

Call back again, I got mine replaced with a pixel. My phone is out of warranty. Get someone different, you got some cunt.

I'm using a 6 with project Fi - battery is show it's age but beyond that it's still a very good phone.

ubreakifix has been fixing Google phones and has a decent retail presence
