Looking comfy!
> no num keys
>Scarlett is high quality, +1 for that

6/10
Looks like you got thick carpet. What kind of desk is that?
cheers m8, you too!
switching boards all the time so I've learned to cope without certain keys. The scarlett is great but I gotta replace it soon since I managed to rip the usb connector off the back of it. It somehow works by hot gluing it in place.
And that's actually just a PC in a Mac G5 caseThe desk is two ikea alex drawers and a Rasunda oak countertop
Is it always the same 15 people posting......
Or perhaps you're re-living the same day over and over again. Did you ever consider this?
neat and clean. what appears to be an audio engineering setup judging by the master mouse instead of an LED shill and the speakers. 5/7
Throw something away once in a while otherwise an attractive retro style setup.
also the passthrough makes it obvious
the fucking pick computer picture that looks like a landfill threw up in their room has posted that shit for like a year straight
i decided to use a single monitor for now
8/10 (id honestly rate it higher, but im unsure of what a 10/10 would look like in my eyes)
6/10 (so much potential being wasted)
5/10 (i have depression)
How would I improve it?
No chance m8!
Why bin when you can give away/sell?
Wasteful!
Is that the lake on the way to Bergen from Oslo?
Since taking these pics I have taken away the middle leg, changed some figures and use a k65 now other than that its pretty much the same.
Clean and simple 8/10
ok setup I feel bad for your neck having your monitor like that though 5/10
please move your speaker over a bit its hanging of the right side of your desk other than that pretty ok setup 6/10
...
how are you liking that triple landscape setup?
I have Portrait+Landscape+Portrait but I've been thinking about triple landscape for muh panorama wallpapers
what mic are you using and does it get in the way when viewing your monitors?
its pretty good I prefer all landscape but sometimes I change one of the side ones to portrait if I am talking alot in discord
I have the audio technica at2035 on a rode psa1 boom arm and sometimes it does but I just lift it up a bit so I can still use it or move it behind my monitor if I am not using it at all.
>Ridiculously tiny keyboard
>No arrow keys
>No numpad
>Tiny monitor miles away from where you're sitting, have to lean forward and squint
>Giant speakers wasting space instead of using objectively superior headphones
>Computer case off to the side and turned away, no tempered glass window so you can admire the internals
>Actual keyboard sitting on top of the computer case, unused
>No RGB lighting
>No chair to sit on
Try again
>Tiny keyboard
>Ridiculously giant mouse mat bigger than even the monitor
Bonjour
how do i find a good crt in 2017?
Sub-$600 high-DPI OLED monitors when?
eBay
Hello friend :)
those keycaps look way too new for that kb
Nice UPS user, I need to invest in one.
I haven't had a genuine human interaction in several months. I hate working from home please save me.
Please be gentle.
I think we got the same desk man. Thinking of making an L shape with it instead.
nice but that middle desk leg would be annoying.
I'm literally the opposite.
It's a CM Storm QuickFire XT with custom caps. Bought it a bit over a year ago and replaced the caps because the ones that came with it had an ugly-ass gaymer font.
Indeed. Keeps the server, monitor, speakers, and lamp on for 30 minutes.
What server/workstation is that you have behind your desk?
An IBM System x 3500 M4.
i think i have the same banana stand as you
...
>IBM System x 3500 M4
Huh, neat! Are you using it for server stuff, or do you have a video card hooked up to it and using it as a desktop?
Got it from King Supers for $5, great headphone stand but I had to wrap the tip so it didn't cut/scrape the headphone band.
Hey user, I actually asked you this question months ago but I don't remember your answer anymore, but where did you get your desk? I have a LOT of stuff and I find it impossible to find a desk that can actually fit everything that I own.
I'm using it as an OwnCloud server and backup target, pfSense in a VM doing firewall and routing for my home network, sshd for remote shell and socks5 proxying. Stuck a GTX980 in there for gayming when I'm home.
How did you put a GTX980 in there? I didn't think the PSU in it had PCIe 12v.
How do you have the OS and stuff configured? I would assume with that type of hardware you would be running some sort of hypervisor, but the fact you said you do gaming on it makes me question what you are using as your host OS.
There's two PCIe slots that support cards up to 225W. I'm running Windows Server 2008 R2 with VMs for web-facing services.
>There's two PCIe slots that support cards up to 225W
Right, but you can't power the GPU only off the bus, right? I didn't think it was equipped to do that like some PCIe fiber cards and stuff are.
I quite literally inserted the card into the slot and it ran without a hitch. I'm not sure how it does it but it's definitely nonstandard.
Thats awesome. What a sweet piece of kit. treat her well haha.
These boxes were all over eBay a few years back. They're really nothing special if you know where to look.
comfy/clean/10
What keyboard is that?
Why don't you buy anything new? A bit cluttered but a great retro setup
Where'd you get that mug?
Been fucking around with a little asus gaming laptop for the longest time, and I finally got my old system up and running again. Proud to be rocking outdated garbage from 2011. Just wanna have a comfy ass place to jack off, talk and game with the boys, and do nothing of value like drawing furry smut.
Planning on getting more storage, better headphones or maybe speakers I dunno, no rush.
6/10 literally the case from my 7th grade teacher's broken ass no-brand computer she gave me eons ago
What keyboard?
The two different colored desks trigger my autism. Otherwise I like it
well it's been a bit. guess i'll show off the other part of my work area. probably going to move eventually and get another table or something for my synths/drum machines.
8/10 clean and comfy
what OS and what keyboard?
kurwa
Looks nice user, 8/10 for me. How's the view out of those windows?
You need a bigger desk
Costs money m8.
eBay.
I've paid no more than £10 for every screen in that room.
That telly is HD and it cost me a fiver.
The sony screen's 1600p and it cost me a tenner.
Thanks mane. I am running Windows 10 Pro (Although tonight I plan on going to Windows 7 Ultimate) and the keyboard is a Rosewill RK-9000V2 with Enjoy PBT keycaps.
That's a pretty long time. I wonder how long it would keep up a modem/router.
Why the change in OS? Thanks for the keyboard info.
Well user, Windows 10 is a massive botnet and Windows 7 is a little bit less. Plus I just fucking love and miss the look of Aero.
When will windows 7 stop running (or become completely obsolete/unusable)? I thought I saw something that in 2018 it would be out of time. Where did you get windows 7 ultimate from?
Aero looks good because it was consistent and had depth. Icons all had the same design to them and it just seemed to fit together in a cohesive way similar to Windows 3.1 thru 2000. 10 (and 8 moreso) reverted to the XP days of a mishmash between "new" and "old" style icons which looked more at-home on a Linux distro than something made by a company like Microsoft.
2020 is when it stops getting even security updates. I wouldn't give it past a year before it becomes the wild west of malware attacks.
shit
An AC UPS like that would be overkill for something like a modem or router. The modem I have came with a DC UPS that lasts for two whole days since I don't use the wifi built into it. It might last even longer but I've never had a power outage long enough to see it go completely dead.
>Not being on fiber optics
lol gigabit 4 lyfe
>implying I'm not on 1000/1000 ftth
>implying fiber doesn't need a modem
2020 like some other user mentioned. Honestly, now that I think about it's probably going to be a pain in the ass finding it. I only have clean ISOs for Windows 7 Pro and Home.
I may just get an AC UPS like yours so that I can have enough time to safely shut down and keep my internet up for a while. I would assume that it would last a lot longer then two days.
Exactly.
I wish user... I wish...
>modem
optical network terminal. the verizon ones have a battery backup built right into them.
I'm guessing it'll be "completely obsolete/unusable" after at least 5 years past its end of support like XP considering that 7 and XP are two of Microsoft's most successful OSes.
microsoft still provides support/updates for XP if you're willing to pay.
what monitor is that?
Or two other options:
>Applying the POSReady .reg hack
>Installing Unofficial Service Pack 4 (recommended)
In limbo a bit, recently moved in with the GF and we might be off to Denver in a few months so I haven't really set everything back up.
As much as I love my Embody, I don't think I can realistically justify the price of that desk. I'd like to have one though.
...
I got a good deal on an Alienware 17R4 with the 7820HK and 1080 and I really like it. Hammers through editing and stuff when I'm on a trip or whatever and doesn't keep the girlfriend up when I game on it when we're on a roadtrip.
Do you know how bad it is for your back and neck to be not squared with your monitors?
Where'd you get that desktop? The literal desktop, not the computer wallpaper.
Do you play video games on that rig? You have like no mouse space, even with the phones off. If not then why dont you use a trackball?
moving soon, and staying there for more than 8 months, so im gonna get a nice one then.
do vns count?
I'm making a desk, but I'm not sure what kind of finish I should use. MDF top. Bar top epoxy? But too glossy gets sweaty/sticky in the summer. Unless I rough it up? Dunno. Thoughts?
>psycho pass
>2814
You just made me cum, where did you find that kogami poster
I got the desk from ikea. it's made of two alex drawers, some adils legs and two rasunda oak worktops
cheers, it's a happy hacking keyboard professional 1
Dell UP2715k 5k IPS monitor
It's a G5 case which I bought off ebay, then I converted the internals to accept standard pc components
Would look a lot nicer if you cleaned up a bit, but otherwise nice.
7/10
Bretty gud, but it seems like you could easily get better stereo separation out of those speakers.
8/10
Gay
Decent travel setup though.
6/10
Pretty clean, I think we have the same mic. Behringer C-1?
8/10
it used to be on redbubble, cant find it now
nice legs
do...do you listen to music with those speakers so close together?
PLEASE tell me you play take that blue synth/keyboard out and play it sometimes? Those things are so hard to come by.
What chair is that? Is the back rest fully adjustable?
It's Friday, Friday~
Don't take it out but i've got hours of it on that Fostex R8!
dig it, whats on the workbench ?
Got my new amp, so need to take new photo.
Picking up my note 8 today as well. Quite the upgrade from a htc one x on release.

Are you a bitcoin trader?
Quads & stuff.
Maximum comfy
D-Don't bully, I like anime
Just got my Oculus Rift off the $399 summer sale! Actually really nice to mess around with, and I have it set up for room-scale.
cancer keyboard
Need new desk, but building new pc currently
...
Get a triple monitor arm before that one on the right takes a nosedive.
Why have the radiator for your closed loop as your primary front air intake? Wouldn't that just blow warm/hot hair directly into your case?
I'm assuming the fans are tightened to the outside of the case blowing over the radiator, and since you have an exhaust fan i can only imagine it is blowing air into your case.
Your wire management is superb though. That's why it's bothering me.
